Dragon Alliance

Rate this book
When Sarah Harker agreed to use her shifting ability to transform into Queen Emma Vankar, she never imagined she would have to lead Vankara in a war against the Fae. After learning the truth behind the cause of the plagues, Sarah and her small contingent return to Iron City to find it besieged by Nuala’s troops and her corps of formidable dragons.

The unexpected invasion has left Vankara weak and vulnerable, unable to defend itself without outside assistance. In order to defeat the Fae, Sarah must form alliances that will help her drive them back over the Iron Wall. To counteract the dragons under Nuala’s command, Sarah is forced to journey to the sky islands where dragons originated. There she must convince the most ancient of all dragons to lend her their help in the war against the Fae but gaining the dragons’ trust won’t be an easy task. Sarah will have to delve deep within herself in order to earn their trust, and what she discovers about her past and those around her won’t only change her life but also the fate of Vankara.

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

This second book in the Ankara saga continues the intriguing story of Sarah as she plays the role of Queen and trys to save her country as well as her new family. I enjoy the fact the there is romance and love in this story but it is merely a side story and a complement to the main plot. The characters in this series are very likeable , as with most S.J West characters. Sarah faces even more challenges when she learns more about her true background and family. I really like the inclusion of dragons in this series. I found Aurora to be a sweet and loving character. I love how she always care for Sarah. Fallon continues to impress me with his noble behaviour and true love for Sarah. This book left me wanting more and wanting to know what exactly the fae want and how Sarah and the gang can save themselves

We go on with a Queen who is a human shifter

Gabriel takes Emma to see Dracon the sorcerer. Meeting Dracon seems to make him unhappy. When she gets back to Iron City, the Fae have invaded and Dena is missing. Finally Dena comes home and Emma has to find help to get her country back......Finally ish the story to find out about the help and the things she learns in the process.

Read and enjoy.

This series has captured me, truly. The characters continue to grow in depth in the second book, and I simply can't wait for the next. Some spelling errors, but the story is good enough that I can look past that.

I'm in love with this series

What is not to love about this book. Dragons, shape shifters, queens, and of course romance.
SJ West has created a world that makes me want to be a part of. I read this book in a day. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one!
