Perdonar y olvidar.

amazing. the writing? amazing. the characters? amazing? the plot? amazing. adam? THE BLUEPRINT.
i was looking for a second-chance romance and this did not disappoint. i was also pleasantly surprised by the twist, and can confidently say i've never read another book that had a twist like this. it's also quite sad how realistic it was as well.
anyways, this was such a good read and has just about every trope you want. also bonus for the dual timeline because i LOVE when second-chance romances do that !! def continuing the series <3
Wasted potential. I am sorry but the guy is just stupid and has no common sense! The girl changes her name, appearance, moves to another city and he just outs her at the first chance he gets! Come on dude !
This is the second book in the Covey U series and deals with some heavier topics so I would definitely check trigger warnings before reading. As with all of Ana's books the reader will go on quite a journey with the characters but they will get their happy ending.
If ever there was a couple that deserved a happy ending, it's Hayden and Adam. They went to high school together and were good friends but they harboured feelings for each other that were so much more than friendship. As with all high school romances there are twists, turns and complications.
Hayden arrives at Covey U with red hair, new contact lenses and a new name in the way of Denny. But when she bumps into Adam he knows straightaway that it's the girl he's never been able to get over. But she's so jumpy, avoids eye contact and is a shell of the girl he once knew. Determined to uncover the truth he goes on a mission to find out what happened to her.
There is a mystery element as the book builds and the reader knows something awful happened but when it's uncovered it's truly cruel and heartbreaking. Hayden just wants to be loved and I think everyone can relate to that. Adam is the sweetest and he is relentless in his quest and never gives up on her.
Their second chance romance was so sweet and at times innocent which was lovely to read because it's exactly what Hayden needed. Her character development was well written. This book made me cry at certain points but I was delighted with the outcome and it gave me the perfect mix which made for a good all round reading experience.
seeing these two and their past is just ugh. they’ve been through so much due to just one person who ruined so much of what they could’ve been when they were younger.
adam has always been in love with hayden, nothing could ever take his heart away from her, so when she finally finds her again at his college well..it’s fate…but the things she has been through well, how could someone ever treat her like that.
hayden, poor sweet hayden. she did not deserve to go through what she did, she didn’t deserve to be treated that way. and her ex definitely NEVER deserved her.
she’s hiding from her past, changed her whole look just to get away. to forget what happened, to not be the target. but little did she know she would run into her high school best friend..the one she always had feelings for.
we get povs from the past and get to see how things played out which added so much depth to these characters and feelings for one another.
their story is full of love, healing, caring, facing the past, and just all around finally being with the one you were always meant to be with.
I have a sweet spot for flawed and misunderstood heroines. Especially when they are in the midst of their adolescence and navigating youthful lessons and mistakes as new adults.
Hayden’s past is pain and devastation; filled with yearning, longing, and constant search for self-worth. And she unfortunately tries to fill the void with a boy who’s no good for her.
This heavily follows to her current reality of fleeing her dream college, masking her identity, and coming face to face with the one she was always meant to be with.
The brewing romance is sweet and gentle. Adam helps Hayden reclaim her life and the love they always deserved.
This story takes a toll on your emotions. Adam and Haydens story is deep. From young love, miscommunication, lost friendship, some pretty messy drama to finding each other after 4 years, there is a lot to take in from this story. Haydens story is messy and hard-hitting to read at times, but there is light at the end of her dark, horrid tunnel. Adam never moved on from her, and his love for her runs so deep. He never forgot her. This story takes a spin on your emotions for sure, but it is definitely worth your reading time.
The childhood friend, second chance romance is what I love the most in this book, its a short book so reading it wouldn't take long.
I wouldn't say this book is bad but wouldn't say it's my new fav either, maybe because I read it while I'm in a reading slumb so I didn't quite enjoyed it fully. But what I will say in confident is what I'll wait for Matty books, I don't think it out yet but I'll wait because I think his and Britt has quite a history there.
ANA SHAY...WOW..ANOTHER GREAT READ! LOVE YOUR BOOKS AND SERIES...CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT SHAY BOOK... LOVE The SOCIAL TALK OF PROBLEMS FACING MANY ...MENTAL EMOTIONAL,AND PHYSICAL...GREAT STUFF! THANKS FOR WRITING IT!
YOUNG LOVE TO LATER IN LIFE LOVE...ALL REALLY GREAT SITUATIONS...
I really enjoyed reading this book. Again just like book one, the lack of communication in this book, lol. Other than that it was really good. Emotional roller coaster with everything that went down with Hayden. Beautiful ending!!
Adams love story was a little different than I expected but I found myself unable to stop because I needed to know how it ended. Looking forward to the next installment.
Love when the H is so head over heels in love with the h. Adam was perfect. The things that happened to the h was so heartbreaking. Happy she got her HEA in the end.
Hayden and Adams story was one I couldn’t put down. It made me feel all the feels and shed quite a few tears over Hayden’s story. This is definitely a good read.
Adam just can’t get over his childhood friend Hayden, dispite his friends setting him up with Britt. No girl is catching his attention the way Hayden did until he meets Denny. Denny is Britts mysterious new roommate but there’s something about her drawing Adam in. Denny moved colleges for a fresh start, no one will recognise her here or will they? This was my least fave couple/book of the series and i’ll be honest I didn’t really connect with Hayden however I do love Adam and I was really interested in the storyline which sent me down a rabbit hole about sororities and hazing rituals. Being from the UK we don’t have sororities here so it was very interesting to learn about. NOW AVAILABLE ON AUDIOBOOK 🌟🌟🌟🌟
4.5 ⭐️ 2🌶️ I personally LOVE Adam. He is the definition of the PERFECT book boyfriend. He is such a good man but also has that dirty talk that makes us all MELT. Hayden’s story is so heartbreaking she was victim to what many of us young girls end up feeling and experiencing as young women. She was head over heels for a man who just wasn’t a good guy and he was popular so he had the suite of all the girls in school but Adam was her best friend. When she went to college Adam wasn’t there and she experienced something horrific. Definitely my favorite in the series thus far.
didnt even bother to finish but pushover mmc and fmc who pretends she doesn’t know what’s going on. the second she texted him to open his window only to talk about the other guy i just couldn’t give a shit about her trauma goodfuckingbye. here for Matty & Britt because i love Britt 🤞🏻
