Kissing Eden #3

A Very Grey Christmas

Rate this book
I was getting ready to spend the single most important holiday of the year alone. Completely and utterly alone.

That meant he wouldn’t be there Christmas Eve. No making Christmas cookies, or listening to my dad sing off-key while my mom bustled around wrapping last-minute gifts. No decorating the tree. No midnight Christmas kiss.

No waking up in Grey’s arms. We were actually going to spend our very first Christmas in different states.

That was until Grey gave me the most unexpected gift of my life.

A Very Grey Christmas was the perfect addition to Kissing Eden series. I loved it!!! It made me swoon, smile and sigh. For anyone who has read Kissing Eden and Loving Eden will be so happy that Eden and Grey’s story continues. It was almost like we finally got the perfect epilogue for them. Plus the novella takes place around Christmas, which made it even better! It gives the story a nice romantic feel to it. To anyone who is a fan of this series you must read this novella right away. It will give you a warm fuzzy feeling and put you in the holiday spirit.

A Very Grey Christmas is a sweet novella that will get you in the mood for Christmas even though it is still Summer, well here in the UK it is anyway. I haven't read any of the other books in the Kissing Eden series, so I was a bit confused at first but after reading a few pages I was able to get some idea of what had happened and the lovely, yet challenging relationship that Eden and Grey have.
When Eden had dreamt of the perfect Christmas, she had expected Grey to be there and not hundreds of miles away. When Eden goes home to spend the Christmas with her family, she knows she is going to miss Grey more than anything but you know what they say about Christmas it is a time for miracles and maybe, Eden will get hers this year.
I loved that even though Eden loved Grey a lot, she was still willing to spending time with her family who are also very important to her as well. Also, I loved Eden's family they were funny and very similar to most families, having them in the book made it more enjoyable for me, mainly as family and Christmas as very important to me as a lot of people would agree also.
My favourite character would have to be Eden, I loved reading about her and Grey's relationship and how it makes her feel. They are both very emotionally driven characters yet perfect for each other at the same time. Making this a very sexy, yet swoon-worthy read.
My favourite part of A Very Grey Christmas would have to be towards the end of the book and it involves Christmas decorations and is very sexy. That is all I am going to tell you as you have to read it for yourself, otherwise I will spoil it for you which I don't want to do!
A Very Grey Christmas is a sweet romantic Christmas story that will make you fill with Christmas warmth and spirit even in August. With its beautiful setting, loveable characters and a dashing yet romantic male character, it should be on everyone's Christmas list!
If I had to sum this book, up in three words, they would be Sexy, Touching and Romantic.

A Very Grey Christmas was the perfect edition to the Kissing Eden series. For those of you looking for a well written holiday read this should definitely be on your TBR. T.A. Foster has done an excellent job getting her readers in the holiday mood with this novella.

Eden and Grey are such complex characters with amazing chemistry. This novella gives us the perfect epilogue and end to their story. T.A. Foster surrounded us in Eden and Grey’s usual amazing chemistry and sucked us right back into their world. There is plenty of romance and hot chemistry in this book to make you swoon all over again for Grey. I would definitely recommend reading Kissing Eden and Loving Eden first but for those of you who have this is the perfect sweet romantic read that will keep you swooning for Grey and wanting to read the series all over again.

This book was okay. It bothered me she was so whiny at the first of the book about him not being there. I am more of a strong female to male character and I just didn't see it in this book.

Her holiday schedule though would make some weep. The fact that he was right there with her was great. In the end it all came out ok.

I have to say, I didn't realize this was a series until after getting ready to write my review. I always like to see if I am way off from everyone else or if it was a series because there were a lot of missing pieces of background if it wasn't. Seeing that this was made me feel better but not enough so I would read more.

So if you're invested in this series you will probably love it. If not, not so sure you will care for it.

It's the holidays and Eden has to fly back home to spend it with her family. Grey has to much going on with the renovations of the hotel to go with her. She is heartbroken since she found out how Grey's holidays were not really celebrated. He doesn't know what it's like to have a family Christmas.
Her trip home was what she needed but she is missing Grey.
This book will give you all the fun things a Christmas celebration is about, but Eden gets the biggest gift when Grey shows up and of course the surprise was even more than she hoped for.

My Thoughts

3.5/5

This week is Holiday Novella week at Book Briefs. And it was unintentional. I guess it is just that time of year, and I was craving holiday novellas so much that I booked reviews of two of them for series that I have read and enjoyed, back to back. Yesterday I reviewed This Christmas by Katlyn Duncan, and in the review I talked about how the book surprised me with its' more somber beginning. So I didn't want to get any preconceived notions in my head before reading A Very Grey Christmas. But this book was just what I expected it to be- a fluffy, and cheesy fun holiday romantic read. I love Grey so much, as you can tell from my reviews of the first two books in the series, so I will always jump at a chance to read more about him and all his southern charm. I love any kind of holiday novella, but I think my favorite kind is getting to peek in on characters that I already know and love from a series that I have read. Just like the Kissing Eden series.

A Very Grey Christmas was a quick and super cute read. There is the perfect book for fans of the Kissing Eden series and for lovers of Christmas. There are decorations galore, caroling and Christmas plays. I love that Eden's family goes all out for the holiday. Her mom was hilarious. It makes me want to start decorating for Christmas right now.

I'm not sure if the next book is going to continue to focus on Grey and Eden or if it will shift over to Mason and Taylor, or maybe even a new couple. And I don't even know what I want it to do. I want to see more of Grey, that's for sure. It might be nice to see another couple get the spotlight, but I love Grey and Eden so much that I would love to see them get another book. I guess what I am trying to say is that Mrs. Foster will need to write many more books set in South Padre. I want more!

A Very Grey Christmas is the third story in the Kissing Eden Series by T.A. Foster. I will admit that while I was excited to get more of Eden and Grey, I was a bit worried after reading Loving Eden. I felt like it was missing the spark of the first book and just wasn't what I had come to know and love about these two. I also have kind of a love hate relationship with Christmas stories and novellas, so this one had me a bit nervous. I have to say though, that I really enjoyed this one! It felt like the first book in this series only with a ton of holiday spirit added! This book isn't a standalone and should be read in order, so if you haven't read these already you are going to want to start with Kissing Eden.

As Eden and Grey approach their first Christmas together, they are facing spending it in different states. While Eden knows that she needs to return home to spend it with her parents, she feels torn about being in a separate state than Grey. To Eden's family, Christmas has always been important. Which is why she doesn't understand how it isn't a big deal to Grey. Eden tries to convince Grey to come home with her, but with so much work going on he can't leave Padre. But with them being so far apart, they both soon feel the distance and Eden realizes that all she wants for Christmas is Grey.

I love Eden and Grey. I felt like in Loving Eden that these two just didn't seem to have the same connection as before. But they had that back and more in this story. These two were back to what I had loved so much about them, and I could really see just how far these two had come. They loved one another so much, and it was great to see them living their lives together. I loved getting more of them and seeing some of their HEA play out in their real lives after everything. They had a stronger connection than ever before, and I felt like they were also even hotter together if that is possible! I loved seeing the sweet and sexy with these two.

Overall, this was a great addition to this series. This was everything I had been missing from the last book, and I liked seeing the continuation of their relationship. Eden and Grey have always stuck with me, but after this story they have solidified themselves as some of my all time favorite characters. I highly recommend this series, and if you are a fan of these two you will not want to miss this one! This gave me exactly what I had been hoping for with Eden and Grey, and just the right amount of holiday cheer to get me in the spirit of the season!

If this novella doesn’t get you in the Christmas spirit then I do not know what will! A VERY GREY CHRISTMAS is my first holiday story this year and I loved it! For fans of KISSING EDEN and LOVING EDEN, this is exactly what we want and need! Grey and Eden are having their first Christmas together as a couple, but they will not be together to celebrate. Eden is going home to North Carolina to be with her family and Grey is staying behind to work on the hotel and get things in order for the new year. But romantic gestures and surprises are the best you could ask for! A little holiday miracle. It is the perfect epilogue to the series and what the fans needed!
I love Grey and Eden so much! This was THE perfect holiday story for them! Eden is heading home for the holidays alone. It is really sad! But she is trying to leave the sadness behind and enjoy the time with her family. Now Eden’s family does Christmas right! Their Christmas schedule is filled pageants, caroling, hay rides, snow walks and cookie baking. Yet none of these events hold the same amount of joy without Grey. But never fear, Christmas miracles and dreams come true! I don’t want to give anything away but you need to read this incredible novella. It will make your heart happy and your face to break into a smile you cannot get rid of. This novella will get you in the Christmas spirit and create the perfect ending to one of our favorite literary couples! TA Foster, I applaud you! Thank you for the perfect epilogue ending for Grey and Eden.

A Very Grey Christmas was a cute addition to the Kissing Eden series. It's a short read and you get to see Eden and Grey and how they spend their first Christmas together as a couple.

I must note though that at first Eden comes off as really whiny. I understand she didn't want to spend Christmas apart from Grey, but oh man. You don't need to be so whiny and try and make him feel terrible about not being there with you. At the same time I get it. He couldn't come with you and that kind of sucks. It is not the best being apart for Christmas, especially when for you it is the most romantic holiday of the year. Sometimes this is the way things work out though. Thankfully it has been a long time since I have had to spend the holiday apart from my husband, but there was a year or two after we first started dating when we did. He just wasn't able to come home with me and I didn't like it, but couldn't really do much about it.

Of course Grey is so amazing and he will do pretty much anything for Eden. Everything works out in the end and Eden and Grey are happy and it was just really nice getting to spend a little more time with these characters. It was nice to see what Christmas traditions Eden's family had and everything they did to make the holiday fun. A great intro to the holiday season! Definitely check it out if you enjoyed the rest of the series. It is great to be able to see a little more of this couple and their relationship. A great holiday read.

A Very Grey Christmas is one of those perfect Holiday stories. It’s low key, fun and really puts you in the spirit.

This is the 3rd book in the series but I feel like if you are in the mood for something for the Holiday you can read this without reading the first two books. I think T.A. Foster does a good job alluding to things in the first couple of books but doesn’t give anything away if you want to read them and haven’t yet. Although I think it will make you want to read them if you haven’t. It was easy to invest in Grey and Eden as characters.

I loved spending the Holidays with Eden’s family! It was nice to see such a strong family and community bond. Plus it was just so much fun. I want to go to their house this Christmas! It was actually giving me ideas for things that would be fun to do at my house like the luminaries. I also thought it was cool how her mom had themes for the trees. It was like a pinterest board come to life in the book.

Grey and Eden are adorable. I love how easy they are with one another and you can really feel that whole vibe coming off them. I really just smiled throughout reading and of course there were particular things that really made me happy giggle.

Such an adorable Christmas read. I think if you’ve read the series you will be happy with this extension on Grey and Eden. If you haven’t, I think you can enjoy the Holiday aspect and it will make you want to go back and read the first two books.

I'm a big fan of this series and I was very excited to read this Christmas novella. Eden returns home to North Carolina to spend the holidays with her parents. Unable to convince him to come with her, Grey stays behind in Texas, leaving Eden upset and sad.

But with a little help from the holiday spirit and some help from her parents, Eden gets a Christmas present that doesn't disappoint. I really liked how T.A. Foster reveals this -- with the reader seeing it coming before Eden figures it out. It made that moment all the more romantic to me. Grey definitely won my heart for good with that move.

And there's more surprises to come by the end of the novella, too!

Although Eden whines a lot at the beginning of this and it got on my nerves a bit, I really enjoyed this holiday story. Eden's parents were great, and I loved how they handled having their adult daughter home for the holiday.

Fans of this series should not miss this, and if you haven't read this series, it's a sweet love story between these two, so start at the beginning and read all three.

This was a really sweet, wonderfully written Christmas story featuring two well drawn out and complex characters. I have to admit that I haven't read the first tow books in this series, so I was a bit in the dark when it came to some of the subtler relationship dynamics between friends and family, but I was so drawn in by the immediate and obvious chemistry between Eden and Grey that I went right out and downloaded KISSING EDEN and LOVING EDEN. Despite knowing how this story ends, I'm drawn into their world and need to know what happened leading up to the events in this adorable novella.

T.A. Foster has done an excellent job of ramping up the holiday spirit with a beautifully rendered Christmas setting in a tight-knit town. There's plenty of snow and Christmas cheer with the decorations and events leading up to the holidays. I was immediately taken right into the Christmas spirit with this wonderful family and fell in love with Eden. She wants so badly to be with the man she loves for Christmas, and I could feel her anguish over not having that opportunity.

Grey is a delightful leading man, and my heart melted with what he did for Eden (no spoilers here!) He's charming and sweet, and everything a girl could ask for in a romance hero.

If you're looking for a quick read to get you in the holiday spirit, and love sweet romance, this is an excellent read.

I adore an epilogue!! So, it’s even more fabulous when the author gives me a whole novella! I would definitely recommend you read Kissing Eden and Loving Eden first, as this is a continuation of Eden and Grey’s story.
Eden and Grey are going to be spending their first Christmas as a couple, apart. Eden grew up with a family and community, making for bustling and happy Christmases. Grey, on the other hand, had quiet and low-key holidays, causing him to put little importance on Christmas.
It’s seems like a small thing, but it drives a little wedge into Eden’s happy bubble. Unfortunately, Grey doesn’t seem to think her insistence that this holiday should be special is enough for him to stop working and go with her. Eden is not only sad to leave him alone for the holiday, but a little hurt as well, that he didn’t put her first.
However, Grey has a surprise in waiting for Eden and it’ll leave you hoping for more of their story.
Grey and Eden share a delicious chemistry and there is no need of a fireplace to keep you warm with these two! The story is passionate and sweet, leaving you with a smile on your face. Because, who doen’t love a little more happily ever after?

A Very Grey Christmas tells the story of Eden and Grey's first Christmas together--or does it? ;)

Eden, for whom Christmas has always been a special time, is heading home for the holiday--alone. Grey is staying behind, having lots of projects to do. Eden's completely distracted her first two days back in North Carolina, missing Grey and wanting him there with her. Then her parents start to act strangely...

A Very Grey Christmas is like a sweet and sentimental Christmas card to all of Eden and Grey's fans. The biggest conflict of the story (just how "Grey" will Eden's Christmas be?) is resolved within the first third of the story. For the remainder of the book, we see Eden share her Christmas traditions--and her family--with Grey.

There is a sweetly romantic moment at the end...that I'm definitely not going to spoil. If you're a fan of the series, this story will definitely make you smile. If you haven't read the others, it's a pleasant way to pass the time, but you probably won't feel nearly as invested in the characters.

Oh T.A. Foster, you sure do know how to pull at the heartstrings. I loved Eden and Grey from the beginning but this was definitely the icing on the cake that tasted oh so sweet. This was a quick and sweet heart warming novella that is just perfect for the upcoming Christmas season, I know it only will bring you hope that someone in your life will be just as sweet and romantic.

Eden is on her way home, without Grey and she’s sad about it but knows that she has to spend time with her family as well. Especially after moving so far away from them. Grey ever adamant about seeing her for new Years, but of course you can only imagine what a great surprise it was for Eden to see Grey at her house after a couple days of being there.

Overall this was a sweet story, I can’t really say much more because I want you to read it and fall in love all over again with this couple, and believe me you really will. There were definitely some super steamy and new things tried in this book that always picks up that heart rate but really it’s all about the love story. So if you have a little bit of time and are in the Christmas mood, make sure you pick up this novella and give it a try. You will not be disappointed!

"There's only one thing I want for Christmas

What's that, pretty girl?

You"

"A Very Grey Christmas" is a novella recounting Eden and Grey's first Christmas together. It begins quite sadly, with Eden moving to North Carolina on her own for the holidays and leaving Grey behind, but soon a certain surprise brings them together in the very romantic setting.

It's a short, light read perfect for the holidays. Anyway, I would only reccomend it to those who have already read the first two instalments in the series. Otherwise you might miss part of the magic. And this book was really full of magic.

The atmosphere, the love that sizzled in the air, the snow, the lights. In a word, romance.

The final surprise doesn't really come out of the blue, but that doesn't mean it's not equally sweet and swoony. I believe it to be perfect for Grey and Eden. Private, tender, passionate.

Only complain: too short! I know, it's a novella and they're supposed to be short. I only hope to read more about these two characters and all the others in the series. They've gotten under my skin and crawled right into my heart. I'm not ready to let them go just yet.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book for free.

Eden and Grey are a young couple who live together in Texas. Eden is returning home to her parents' house for Christmas, but Grey is staying behind in Texas to work. Eden is very sentimental about spending Christmas with the ones she loves and is upset that Grey isn't coming with her.

What follows is a sweet romance about a young couple in love, peppered with a few sex scenes to keep it interesting. It's entirely predictable and I didn't find it particularly absorbing. In fact, I only finished reading it because I'd committed to review it.

After reading some other reviews I discovered that this novella follows on from two earlier novels about Eden and Grey, who have an enthusiastic and loyal following. I haven't read these two novels, so I haven't invested so much time with the couple and haven't formed any kind of relationship with them. Hence the 3 stars - it was OK.

This novella is for existing fans of Eden and Grey, people who are particularly sentimental about Christmas and feel that not having every single loved-one with you on the day is an absolute tragedy, and those who like a romance that follows the rules and doesn't offer any surprises. It wasn't for me.

A Very Grey Christmas was a very sweet Christmas story that continued on Grey and Eden's love story. It is their first Christmas together. Unfortunately Eden and Grey won't be spending the holidays together. Eden is going home to NC and Grey is staying on the island to tae care of work. This makes Eden terribly upset. She doesn't want to ever spend the holidays apart. It is the time of year she enjoys more than anything.

Just like a Christmas miracle, the only thing Eden wants for Christmas comes true. Grey has somehow made it to NC to spend Christmas with Eden and her family. And to top it off, it is a white Christmas. This could be the best Christmas Eden has ever experienced. Snow, her family and her boyfriend all together doing all her traditions together. Baking cookies, christmas pageants, visiting neighbors. It was so sweet.

I loved this novella. It was a great way to get you in the Christmas spirit and see where Eden and Grey are. There are some super sweet scenes that melted my heart in this book. Grey loved Eden more than anything and does whatever it takes to show her.

I am hoping there is more Eden and Grey to come!

I love reading a sweet romantic story. Reading about Grey and Eden, had me all warm and fuzzy. It was tamed but not too tamed. Love the hot and steamy scenes, while Grey pleasured Eden. It had me swooning with a heavy sigh. It was like a breath of fresh air. I have not read a holiday love story in a few months and I can't believe how I missed it so much.

It was a one sweet ride. I love it. It's one of those stories that doesn't need any love triangle, no struggle, just plain old sweet love story that I truly enjoyed. I love how Grey was with Eden. All he wanted to do was to make sure that she had everything she wanted. He was just nothing but sweet. A boyfriend that we all need and so much more. If you are looking for a short and sweet love story, I would totally recommend this book.

"A Very Grey Christmas" is written by T.A. Foster, and it is the 3rd story in her Kissing Eden series. It can be read as a stand-alone novella. It features Eden and Grey.

I didn't realize this novella was part of a series. It might have made me enjoy the story more if I had read the previous books to fully understand how Eden and Grey are as characters. Eden goes back home for Christmas to celebrate with her parents, but she is a little disappointed that Grey won't be able to join her. She misses him and calls/texts him often. For me, personally, I found Eden a little whiny because of this. But Grey does something sweet for her. He's a charming, likeable character. And his nervousness and what he does for Eden near the end of the story will make you smile.

Without me knowing Eden and Grey's story or how they are as characters, I didn't really enjoy this story much. For me, Grey made this story. "A Very Grey Christmas" might not have been my cup of tea, but it's good to way more people enjoyed it more than I did. I think if you're a fan of this series, you would enjoy this follow-up.

In this final book, we see that Grey and Eden are going strong in their relationship and that Eden goes back home to visit her family. While she is happy and excited to be back home the one thing she wants more than anything is that Grey could’ve made the trip. Her parents see that something is missing and try to get her mind on other things, but Eden just hates that they aren't spending their first Christmas together. Will Eden’s Christmas be blanketed in sadness or will she experience a Christmas miracle and get her wish? I won’t spoil the details, but it makes for one magically wonderful Christmas for all involved.

I had my ups and downs with this series, but I must say I loved how it ended. I thought it was a wonderful ending to a series that showed us how difficult a relationship can be but with a little work and lots of love you can pull through anything. This is one series that’s worth the read.

What a cute follow up novella to the rest of this series! It got me right in the mood for the holidays. Short and sweet, I think this was the perfect piece to finish off the Grey and Eden puzzle. Like with the first two novels, Eden comes off a bit immature (common, she only left for a week and she was complaining the whole time). I think her behaviour definitely highlights Grey's awesomeness, though he entertains her whining. There's definitely some hot scenes sprinkled in for good measure. It was definitely tastefully done. For those who aren't familiar with Grey and Eden, you may want to read the first two books in this series to get a background. Though you could read this as a short holiday novella, Grey and Eden's story would be lost on you and that would be a waste. Enjoyable read just in time for the holidays--I finished it in one sitting!

Grey knows how to read his woman's signals when she starts shedding the clothes you join her, "I threw my coat on the floor and pulled the sweater over my head. “Well, hey.” He turned to see me shedding my clothes. He closed the distance as his lips crashed into mine." Grey is not one to deny his woman anything:
"I was hoping you’d still be naked when I woke up.” I chewed my bottom lip and eyed his flannel shirt.
“Oh no, I’m not starting off on the wrong foot with your dad.” He tried to stand from the bed, but I wrapped myself in his lap. “Eden, what are you doing?” I kissed his neck and started with the top button on his shirt.
I enjoyed this novella it was a great holiday read.

Such a good short read. OK so first off I didn't know there were other parts to this story (I will read them now). This is the sweetest book and Grey is the sweetest guy. He gives Eden one of the best Chrismases he can. Eden grew up having a big Christmas every year at home. Grey not so much. And Edens parents wants her home for Christmas and Grey isn't able to make it up to NC. But that's all eden wants. She wants Grey for Christmas.
Read this book in about 5 hours. In this short book ve fallen for grey. So swert. So generous and such a Southern ! Got that 'DARLIN' '

Received this book as an ARC for my honest review!!!!

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

This was a short and sweet little story about Grey and Eden's first Christmas. A Very Grey Christmas is a novella that works as the perfect epilogue to Eden and Grey's story. If you're a fan of these two, then you must read this book.

The ARC of A Very Grey Christmas by T.A. Foster was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

This time of year has me looking over holiday titles and I couldn't wait to pick this one up. A Very Grey Christmas is the third in the Kissing Eden series and a perfect pick up after the first two books in the series. I loved Eden and Grey and this quick Christmas story doesn't disappoint.

T.A. Foster delivers a wonderfully sweet holiday tale. For anyone that has read Kissing Eden and Loving Eden, A Very Grey Christmas is not to be missed. The reader will want to be sure to spend part of their holiday season with Eden and Grey for their first Christmas holiday.

~Received For An Honest Review~

Needing something to get you in the mood for Christmas? Well grab yourself a blanket, hot cup of coco and this book right here and settle right in for the day. A sweet surprise for all as you read! So many times we only want one thing for Christmas that will just make it the best, but does it always happen, do we always get what we want? Settle in to see if Eden and Grey get what they want.

I had not read any of the books in this series before this novella. I'm a sucker for novellas, so I was very excited to see one releasing about my favorite time of the year. Grey and Eden touched my heart in this fantastic story. If this is any indication of how TA Foster's other stories are, then I will be purchasing them all! Don't miss this great holiday read!!! I guarantee you'll fall in love with Grey as well! This may just be my new favorite holiday treat!
