Bookworm #1

On Paper

Rate this book
Keaton Harris never planned on becoming a best-selling romance writer. But the job definitely has its perks, like the long line of ladies who are eager to become his muse for a night.

When he meets bookworm Quinn at a book convention she quickly becomes the one thing he has to have. She’s beautiful. Smart. Quiet…and totally giving him the cold shoulder.

Quinn has no interest in becoming a Keaton Harris groupie, no matter how hot he is. She learned a long time ago that playboys make dangerous playthings. But when he proves to be more than she expected she finds herself weakening to his charms.

One week. That’s all it was supposed to be. One week to have an adventure, to be someone else. It was never supposed to go any further than that.

Solid 4.5 stars!

I've once again had the pleasure of betaing one of Shae's novel, and I just loved this one. Now if you're like me, you've already judged this novel [unfairly] by the cover. And I know what you're thinking: this cover seems a little simplistic and not as attention-grabbing as Shae's other two novels. Well let me tell you, there is so much symbolism in this cover--the daisy, the rain, the green stem. Okay the last one is a bit of a stretch, but trust me once you read the novel, you will look at the cover and be like

Now before I get to the story, let me just say that the prologue is perfection. To me, the prologue just grabbed me by the ears and shoved my truth back into my own face. It resonated with me so magically, that if that chapter alone doesn't reel you in, well you must have no soul.

We start by meeting Quinn, who is at a book convention with her bff Lilly. I really liked Quinn--she reminded me a lot of myself and allowed me to see myself in many of her thoughts and actions (which is part of the reason why I loved this so much). She is so real--she knew who she was and wasn't ashamed of it, while at the same time trying to grow and become a more well-rounded person. Even though Keaton pushed her out of her comfort zone a lot, she tried to remain open-minded and stay true to what she wanted--and I loved her for it.

While at the book convention, Quinn and Lilly meet Keaton Harris, a famed romance writer who is known for his playboy ways and who takes an interest in Quinn almost immediately.

Keaton challenges Quinn. He forces her to push aside the logic that rules her life and embrace the unknown. Quinn gives him a week before she goes back to her reasonable, practical life while he goes back to his one-night-stand-only relationship with the opposite sex. But one week isn't enough for Keaton, and he decides to pursue Quinn further. However, as Keaton and Quinn spend more time together and develop deeper bonds, it's Quinn who is all-in while Keaton holds her at arm's length, afraid to fall.

Even though Keaton's wishy-washy state frustrated me, I still LOVED following this couple and their journey to love. I loved seeing the playfulness Keaton brought out in Quinn, and I loved seeing the uncertainty Keaton experienced when he thought too hard about his feelings for Quinn. There were definitely some similarities between this novel and Shae's other novels Unfinished and Indelible--mainly the long distance relationship aspect--which I think Shae writes exceptionally well.

Nevertheless, I did have one hangup in this novel, surrounding Keaton and the "epiphany" [or lack thereof] that persuaded him to write The Book. Sorry, I know this is vague, but I don't wanna give anything away. However, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending! The elevator scene after the signing was just perfection on a platter.

However. I CAN'T BELIEVE SHAE LEFT US WITH ANOTHER CLIFFY!! She must love to torture us because I'm pretty sure my reaction went something like this.

NO HARD FEELINGS, SHAE! But I will be anxiously awaiting a sequel for Lilly and Miles! Another must-read from the wonderful Shae Scott.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

The book starts really nicely and smooth. Two friends taking a trip together before graduating from college. The setting was great and the characters were interesting. The story starts and events take place and I was so absorb by this book! It was simply beautiful!

After it's established that Quinn and Keaton will go on after this one week in San Fransisco, the story felt flat for me. There were beautiful moments between them written in this book but without any point. No one of them had childhood issues or divorced/abusive parents and it was great to read about normal people for a change. But there was something missing...I won't tire you with details. My point is that the book was beautifully written but without a captivating plot at least for me. .

The end of the book was also beautiful and expected like the rest of the story.

Thank you Shae Scott for sculpting such an organic story of love. Finally we have two beautiful people not suffering from abuse, no whips involved, no dysfuntionality, no disrespect intentionally inflicted towards each other. Rather we have two souls stumbling upon each other unexpectedly finding love tethering their hearts.

“He took his time, kissing me like it was a lost art. And I was beginning to think that it was, because no one had ever kissed me the way that he did, so completely, so thoroughly. He could speak a thousand words inside of a single kiss. He could write each one across my heart and brand me as his and he could do it effortlessly. “

So many points made this book work for me. Quinn and Keaton were so well suited for each, two beings bringing out the best in each other, accepting each other’s imperfections and merits, their fears and bravery, their shared passion for each other – simply put they just worked together. Loved the fact Keaton was forced to woo Quinn. The author and reader hook was fabulous along with Quinn’s initial resistance. Scott molded a narrative demonstrating loves demands, expectations, trials and tribulations matched with joys. She laid out the vulnerability and risks you must put forth in order to reap amours benefits. An intricate and complex emotional journey of two people navigating love.

“She pulled me under with each kiss. She demanded more without ever asking for a thing. It was so simple, yet so complicated.”

I had no idea what the ultimate outcome for the couple would be, glad Scott kept me on my toes. All the complications parallel with simplicity’s will allow readers to connect, anyone who’s ever encountered pure devotedness will find themselves swept up with Keaton and Quinn as they master this crazy thing called love. Romance buffs will NOT want to miss reading On Paper.

Overall Opinion: This was a good read that really tugged at my heartstrings at times. I was frustrated at the end though, because I felt like it was all wrapped up too easily and clean. The ending and H's stupid behavior towards the end are what made it a 3.5 rating instead of higher (which it would've been had the H's issue and the ending been better).

Storyline: This is Quinn and Keaton's story. They meet at a book conference where Quinn is there as a fan and Keaton is there as a romance author. The attraction is instant, but Keaton has to work for it (for once) with Quinn because she is turned off by his playboy reputation. After some chasing, Quinn finally decides to stray from her safe ways and give him a chance. They spend the week together, have some steamy times, and their feelings continuously grow. When it is time to separate like they had originally planned, both of them have issues with their feelings of wanting more. They do separate, but then reunite again and start a long distance relationship. Through some hard times they do eventually get their HFN.

POV: This alternated between Quinn and Keaton's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. The flow was good, but did have a rather abrupt ending for my tastes. I don't think it was instalove (they might have had the feelings quick, but didn't recognize or express them).

H rating: 2 stars. Keaton. I liked him until close to the end where he causes issues for the couple and I don't fully understand why. He became hurtful at times, and I didn't feel like he redeemed himself by the end.

h rating: 3 stars. Quinn. I liked her and how loyal and patient she was throughout the story. I did feel like she needed to make Keaton work more for forgiveness at the end...border-lining on doormat for me.

Sadness level: Moderate. I cried on this one a good bit when Keaton did his weird behavior towards the end.

Heat level: Moderate. There are some steamy times with some fade to black to make it a good balance.

Descriptive sex: Yes, and sometimes no.

Sex scene with OW or OM:

Cheating:

Possible Triggers:

Closure: I put this down as a HFN because it wasn't enough closure for me, and I didn't feel secure in their relationship at the end.

Worth the $?: Yes. This was on kindle unlimited, so worth the read!

Quinn is a book nerd and she loves romance books. She goes to a book convention with her best friend. She can’t wait to see and hear her favorite authors, and have some books signed. At the convention she meets the famous author Keaton. Keaton writes romance and loves to meet his fans. When his eyes connect with Quinn, he wants to know her. Keaton has to work for a chance with Quinn, but he wants to. He and Quinn love to spend time together. They aren’t sure what will happen when the convention ends and they go back home.

I love books with booklovers in it. I connected with Quinn easily. She’s smart, funny, determined and loving. Quinn just graduated college and wants a job as an editor. She really loves books. Keaton gave me a little glimpse in the writer’s world. He’s writing a book and isn’t always going great. He’s very passionate about writing. Keaton may be a romance writer, but he isn’t always great with romance in real life. Keaton is determined and he wants Quinn. He doesn’t let Quinn go without a fight. He loves Quinn, but he hasn’t felt that way before and isn’t sure what to do sometimes. Keaton can be moody, arrogant and rude. Quinn doesn’t let him get away with his behavior. Quinn falls in love with Keaton and wants to be with him. She will fight for him.

I loved Keaton and Quinn together. Their relationship isn’t easy. They live far from each other and don’t see each other a lot, but they talk every day. They also have their own insecurities and fears. But in the end, their love is so strong that it can survive anything. It may have taken some time to realize everything, but they needed that time. I loved the epilogue!

This was 100% pure love story. Two adults falling in love and navigating the emotions and the fear that comes with the thought of that first commitment. I simply loved it. I loved both characters. They are so real I feel like I could meet them walking down the street.

When you need to wrap your thoughts around something soft, sweet and beautiful pick up a copy of On Paper.

p.s. a missing star for typos (great writing! just needs a little more copy-editing)

Shae ScottIn my job, we are required to attend seminars that requires you to sit your ass for hours and hours to listen to lectures and after it, you have to go to the speakers to ask signatures for our documents.
There was a time when the lecture went beyond the time limit and we were so hungry because we didn't have lunch yet. In fact, I was so hungry that at the time the speaker announced that the lecture was over, I scrambled and bolted away from the seminar to find the nearest restaurant because.... hunger! I ate the whole restaurant. By the time m nerves calmed down and my stomach was happy, I realized that I wasn't able to ask for the signatures for my documents. And the hammer of truth fell on top of me and I was in deep shit. The end.

Reading this book was pretty much like the hunger i felt during seminars that I seem to forget everything around me just to quench my aching need to continue reading this book. And not only the hunger but also the pleasure of food that takes your mind away from anything that are bad and stressful. It makes you smile, it makes you content and it lets you experience different things until, "I received a message from Lily" and "the table of contents". Then after that I went back to my shitty normal work life but since I read the book, everything is less shitty since I had a huge grin on my face because they had a happy ending and because "Ireceived a text from Lily".

Thank you dear author for sharing me an ARC of you very very wonderful book! I am so honored and thank you for making the bad and the stress go away even for just a few moments. I hope that you will all understand this review. Good luck!

This was the first book I've read from Shae Scott. I can already say, after reading On Paper, I can't wait to read her other two books.

Book nerd Quinn only knows what it feels like to make choices in her life based on logic, but when she meets 'playboy' Keaton, he makes her want to jump. Keaton is a writer of romance novels, but doesn't believe that the fairytale romance exists in the real world. He sleeps around with a lot of women. But then he meets Quinn and he can't shake his obsession with her. Now all he's got to do is let her see that he's not just a playboy, even though he obviously is, and to make her want to leap.

I loved the book. I couldn't put it away. I really liked the story. I thought it was kind of original that the thoughts and feelings of the man played a big role and also that he's a male romance novel writer. The ratio of sex and the story itself was exactly good. It wasn't too much sex, the book didn't only revolve around it. It really displayed the story of Quinn and Keaton. The end was amazing. Exactly what I wanted, but with a twist. I also loved the cover. It wasn't so standard and you needed to read the book and think about it a little to get it.

I loved how the writer displayed the characters of the book. I loved Quinn the most, because I could really identify with her. We're almost the same age and in the same stage of our lives and we are both 'book nerds'. I recognized a lot of myself in her actions and thoughts. I also liked Keaton a lot. Even though I couldn't identify with him, I could still sympathize with him. I would appreciate it though if Keaton thought less about sex when with Quinn. That irritated me sometimes. I liked Lily and Miles too and would really love to read about their story.

The book satisfied my expectations. I expected a romance novel with sexual tension between the key characters and that is exactly what I got. The book even exceeded my expectations. I loved it better than I thought it would. I would certainly recommend this book to readers who love new adult books with romance and sex. It's perfect if you're looking for a book with a story that's not all clichés and with different obstacles.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. A review in dutch can be found here: http://chelles-blog.nl/books-on-paper/.

What a sweet, romantic story....I just loved it.  Very little angst and that's what I needed right now!

The beginning of this story hooked me big time.  Quinn is one of us!  That's right!  She's a book nerd, who loves her book boyfriends, loves discussing the stories and characters with other book nerds, and goes to her first book convention with her friend, Lily!  This storyline sucked me right in!

Keaton is an author of romance novels......not initially by choice....he wanted to report on news stories, but then managed to slip into the romance which was where he saw himself making money.  He was the typical playboy....not looking for a relationship or any type of commitment.  That is, until he meets Quinn, who is initially shy and knows his story, so she decides to steer clear of him.  Can you blame her really?  She was smart to stay away.  She was intimated by him and his cocky confidence.  But, then he showed her a different side of himself, and things progressed from there.  We find out that Keaton is not as confident as he portrays and his insecurities and fear cause some major hiccups in their relationship!

Great book!  I highly recommend it to those looking for a beautiful love story!  This book was so real! And no cliffhangers!!  Amen for that!

I was really looking forward to this book & tried so hard to push through but the first half was not holding my interest & I kept putting it aside to do other things. But I am stubborn & determined so I pressed on, & happy that I did, the second half finally caught my attention. I will not fault the author or her writing, it was all good. The problem was me. Sometimes our moods determine how much we like/dislike a book which is how things summed up for me here. My mood wanted something raw, feisty & drama-filled & although the further I delved into this story, it wasn't everything that I craved but it was more satisfying than was expected. If you read the blurb you'll get the gist of the story & yes there is a happy ending. If you like your MC's to be polar opposites give this one a try, it was a nice story.

Wow! I am fairly new to the Shae Scott scene, but in the small time I have known her words...I have been nothing but impressed.

On Paper was a book I let consume me, but I was also afraid to let it end. It was THAT kind of book. You have to know what happens, but you don't want the words to stop coming. Shae has a knack in this book to keep your emotions far from complacent. She keeps you on your toes between the laughter, crying, heart-warming moments, and in my case some angry-crying. All of emotions you feel flow seamlessly throughout the novel as if you are the one living Keaton and Quinn's life.

Keaton...oh that guy! He will be popular amongst the ladies I discuss books with and probably anyone who reads this book! He is nothing shy of a good "panty-melter" as he is a romance writer...the question is...how much does he believe in the type of love he writes?

Quinn! This girl is very much the butterfly who transitions into a very well-rounded modern young lady. It is always beautiful to read how a character comes into himself or herself. She is Ms. recent Post-Grad and that makes her relatable to many! She also has this quiet but resilient stubbornness most will admire.

This book is truly a " book lovers" book. As mentioned before, Keaton is a romance novelist and Ms. Quinn is a fellow book nerd and aspiring to work in a publishing house. This book is filled with so many passages that fellow bookworms will fall in live with. It has been exciting to read about bookworms in depth. Many times it is glanced over that a character is a bookworm. However, Shae captures moments of reading a novel every book lover has felt.

I do not feel emotionally sated by a book often. That feeling when a story literally gives you every emotion and it always comes at the perfect time...it just does not happen in every book. On Paper has me so sated I don't even know how to describe it. Each emotion was given attention and felt natural. They all had a purpose in this book, giving me a sense of reality while still feeling lost and consumed in this fictitious world.

She has officially become a go-to author! I am just utterly impressed with Ms. Scott's ability to pull me in (and occasionally spit my heart back out). She is someone I cannot wait to hear a buzz about and have others fall in love with her words.

5 captivating stars!!!

Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved this book!!

Keaton Harris is a news journalist turned romance writer. However, he is a romance writer who does not believe in love whatsoever. He wants it easy and doesn't want to ever have to change his life for someone else. His career as a romance novelist has him in constant contact with fangirls, several of whom he has bedded; He has quite the reputation as a known player. The moment he meets Quinn, he knows he has to have her. Her reluctance to be with him only fuels his desire for her that much more.

Quinn is a self-proclaimed book nerd. She is a very cautious person who loves to plan things out before she does anything. She doesn't ever do anything reckless, but when she meets Keaton Harris he makes her want to throw all her well thought out plans out the window. She was reluctant to give his arrogant, cocky self a chance, but when her friend Lily insists, she throws caution to the wind and gives in her desires. She doesn't want to be another notch on his bedpost, but he proves himself to be more than his public persona. Soon she has committed to a one week fling with him, and since she knows their relationship has an expiration date, she gives herself over freely to him.

However, neither of them thought their feelings would get so strong so fast. Quinn makes Keaton want to be a better man, and Keaton makes her want to be brave and spontaneous and take a leap of faith on their desires for one another. They are definitely not ready for it to be over after their one week is up.

This is the first book by Shae Scott that I have read and I think I have found myself a new author. This book was filled with chemistry and sexual tension between the two characters. I could definitely feel their desire for one another through the pages. On Paper had me at the edge of my seat, chewing my fingernails down while reading because their was so much sexual tension and drama throughout the pages. The connection between the two characters was palpable and I could definitely feel it; I could feel their connection, their pain, their struggles, and their tenderness and love for one another. I enjoyed Quinn and Keaton's journey of self discovery from who they were when they met to who they ultimately grew into by the time their story came to its final pages. I cannot wait to read more from this amazing author!

“I loved listening as he softly told me stories of the people we saw. Between his sultry voice in my ear and the way his fingers twirled around my own I was more content than I would have thought possible. It was the perfect afternoon.”

5 stars!! What a great beautiful story!! I really sort of fell into this book and didn’t want to pull myself out at all!! Well written and the characters were fun to get to know!

“Expectation is the root of all heartache.” William Shakespeare

Keaton Harris always thought he would be reporting from the front lines as a hard-hitting news reporter. He never expected to become a best-selling romance writer. But the job definitely has its perks, like the long line of ladies who are eager to become his muse for a night.

He doesn’t expect to meet Quinn Ryan at a book convention. He doesn’t expect to be taken with her so quickly. She is beautiful.

Maybe that Shakespeare guy was on to something

Keaton is a romance author. Not exactly what he intended to do with his life, but hey it works out well for him. He has so many ladies begging to be his next story. Quinn is at a book convention and meets Keaton and she wants nothing to do with him, so she give him the cold shoulder. Keaton isn’t used to this sort of reaction, when he normally has to fight girls off with a stick. Not willing to take no for an answer he goes after Quinn. They agree to one week together, nothing more nothing less, but neither of them were expecting to fall for the other!! Such a fun, cute read!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and, seriously, I've ended up with a new favourite author.

God! This book! I absolutely LOVED it!

Keaton is a news journalist turned romance novelist. However, he’s “a romance writer who doesn’t believe in love”. He doesn't do relationships. He wants it easy and doesn’t want to work at it; he can’t comprehend changing his life for someone else. His talent brings him into contact with plenty of fangirls and he’s bedded countless; he’s a known player. He wants Quinn from the moment he sees her, and her reticence and disconcerting dislike of him draws him in.

Quinn is a self-proclaimed book nerd. She’s a cautious planner who likes to weigh up her options. She doesn’t do spontaneous or reckless. Keaton affects her like no other but she resists his overtures until her friend, Lily, finally convinces her to throw caution to the wind and live a little. She doesn’t want to be another notch on his bedpost but she can’t deny her attraction to him. She’s suddenly all in and committed to a fling for a week. She knows they have an expiration date so she gives herself freely over to him.

However, neither expected their feelings to get out of hand. Quinn makes Keaton want to be a better man. Keaton makes Quinn want to be brave and take a leap of faith. They're not really ready for it to be over.

This is the first time I’ve read this author and she really knocked me over with her beautiful writing. I felt so much emotion in what the author was trying to portray. I highlighted and bookmarked so many pages that I might as well have taken a marker pen to the whole book! It was super sexy, humorous, and angsty. I felt their pain, their struggles, their tenderness, and their joy. Both characters had a real journey from who they were, when we first met them, to the people they became.

Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend this. #TopRead2015

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Well this is the first book I have ever read from Shae Scott and I would like to say that this book just as Keaton said is about getting lost and being found, about surrender and sacrifice, faith and reason; I really like Keaton he is a funny character you get to see how cocky he is, and how persistent he can be, how sweet and how he cares about the little things that will make you feel a little in love with him, you'll se he really likes to write his novel and I'm going to say a little thing that you will found on the book, he does believes in love he is just afraid of it and because of that I think you are going to hate him as much as I did, he really can be a total jerk, a really jerk in all the sense of the word.
The best thing of him is that you can see how he made a difference on Quinn, she got to live and experience a lot more than she would ever do on her own or with Lily, she's the most sweet, kind, sassy if she wants to, but I really admire how she really forgives, in real life you don't really see that in persons the way she does like she didn't keep any resentment on Keaton, besides how hurtful he was, I don't really want to say any spoilers about the story but Gosh I really want to kill him sometimes.
I don't have to say anything wrong with this book I totally love it, it teaches you a lesson that love is about really working on it, to give and take but more than anything to give, and that sometimes it's really hard to be with someone and you have to let them go to find you and let them found themselves.
On the other hand I really expect to read the book of Lily and miles, don't worry you'll meet them, the end of that book made me choke just like Quinn did lol, I'm really waiting to read anything that is related to this book.
This is a most read book, I highly recommend it to everybody!
Thank you for the opportunity.

I was so excited to read this because I thought the blurb was interesting. It was definitely what I was expecting!

One of the things people usually get pissed about in a book is when an innocent good girl shames other girls or guy for jumping from one person to the next. I found this little detail in the book sad but bearable. I understand that even in real life, there are people like that.

That’s what I didn’t like in particular but I, of course, want to talk about what I liked about this book.

I feel like a lot of people, especially those who read a lot of books can relate to this. Instant friendships from people who like the same books as you. Going to signings. Book sales. Meeting people. The OMG moment when you meet an author whose work you fell in love with. I feel like reading books gives a sense of community and I really like how it was portrayed in this story.

I also liked Keaton. Aside from good looks, he is a person to me who is looking for depth. He looked really shallow from an outsider point of view but if you look into his thoughts, he wants to be someone good and real. To me, he was a vulnerable person and he didn’t want to show that to others which turned out to be really interesting. I really wonder what kind of person he would have been if he got his dream job instead of the one he currently has.

I feel like the love in this story was simple and real. It was about two people meeting each other and having an exciting experience and falling for each other. I like how there was an exchange in POV giving us two sides of the story where the characters experience their version of the truth.

One last tiny thing, I also liked the design of the cover and the header for each chapter. It makes me want to buy the paperback version of the book.

OMG where do I start with this book. This is the first time I have read any of this authors work and it isn't going to be the last. This is by far one of the best books I have read this year.

Keaton Harris is a best selling romance author even though he doesn't believe in love. But he revels in the perks of his job he can have the choice of the many women who throw themselves at him and has notched up a few notches on his bed post.

Book nerd Quinn Ryan is a book nerd who doesn't like taking risks, likes to work things out before she does anything.

Quinn goes to a book convention with best friend Lily. She immediately catches the eye of Keaton but she has no interest in becoming another notch on Keaton Harris's bed post despite the chemistry that is sparking between the two of them. After a little bit of help from best friend Lily Quinn agrees to one week with Keaton. He soon realises that Quinn isn't the usual type of girl that is going to listen to his spill to get her into bed and is oblivious to his charms. In return Quinn realises that Keaton isn't the man he makes himself out to be.

I love the way that not only did they have amazing chemistry between them but they bring out parts of each other that they didn't know they had.

After the week is up neither of them are ready to give each other up. It is down to the brilliant writing you feel every emotion that these two feel from the sexual tension to them falling in love.

A true and pure love story.

Quinn Ryan and her best friend Lily go to San Francisco after college graduation to go to a huge book convention. Keaton Harris, is a very sexy male romance writer who is one of the authors at the convention. When Keaton first lays eyes on Quinn, he is awestruck.

What makes this such a great story, is that Keaton has to work to get Quinn. She isn't like other girls and isn't one of his book groupies. She has goals and a plan for the future and isn't a normal risk taker. After spending some time with Keaton, Quinn realizes there is more to him and decides to take an adventure and live for the moment for once in her life. It's only supposed to last a week and then they go on their separate ways. The more time they spend together, the more they realize that a week isn't long enough.

Quinn and Keaton are great. They go through real obstacles and learn how to deal with new feelings that neither are prepared for. I loved the more realistic feel of their love story and how they had to deal with everyday problems.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

For me this book was ok, there were good parts and not so good parts. I really enjoyed the first part of the book, when Keaton and Quinn were in San Francisco. I liked how it wasn't an instant love for both of them, they took the relationship slow and got to know each other. There time together was sweet and romantic. You got to see the best side of Keaton. Once the book moved on from there I felt like the book dragged a bit. I think it could have moved a bit faster and not have been so long.

Quinn and Keaton defiantly had an up and down relationship. You got to see the best and worst of Keaton. Quinn was really strong. I like how she was strong and didn't let him walk all over her. I can relate to Quinn in this book loving someone who you don't know loves you back, it is not easy to deal with.

I also enjoyed the end of the book, it was defiantly a fairytale book ending.

ARC received in return for my honest review.

'Love is patient, love is kind' those six works sum up Quinn's character. She is kind, caring and has a lovely heart.

Keaton is also kind and caring , but is also scared to death of being in love. Which is ironic because he is very much in love with Quinn, she's his soul mate.

I like that both Quinn and Keaton are just normal people, yes he is an author and semi famous, but he's not a billionaire and a mega mogul. I like that they had a normal relationship, living apart, long distance relationship and all the baggage that goes with it, it was nice not to read about a 'perfect' relationship.

I didn't quite understand why Keaton kept freaking out, I wanted to give him a shake, but I'm glad that he came to his senses in the end.

I especially like this book as Quinn is the name I would give my daughter, if my miserable husband were to ever let me have more babies- here's hoping :)

I love books where one of the main characters is a romance writer. What's not to like? The main character is creative, smart, and very imaginative. That's what I liked most about Keaton, who was the famous romance writer in this book. He was adorable, funny, and very fun to read about. He did have his moments of insecurities, which frustrated me, especially when he acted certain ways with the heroine of the novel, Quinn, but I really liked his character despite it.

Quinn was a great female heroine, although she didn't stand up for herself as much as I wished she did. She's loyal, honest, and very relatable. I felt as if I really knew her character well and enjoyed reading about her and Keaton! Their love story is very unique, enjoyable to read, and fun. I was offered this book in exchange for my honest review and I do recommend it to lovers of romance novels.

Ahhh, what can I say about this book?

I actually really liked this. It's surprising that I can say that now when I had my head shaking at the back-and-forth of the story. Nevertheless, I find this quite realistic in a sense that it can be hard for some people to accept that they are in love...even when they already are. Not everyone has it easy.

Quinn and Keaton felt like real people to me and not just characters in a book. There was nothing exaggerated in this book, only relatable scenarios. The dual POV is a win and, hey, there were daisies all over this book! Loved that touch.

PS--Are we getting Miles and Lily's story as well? Yes or yes? Soon? Even just a short one?

Keaton Harris is a romance-writing god, with a body to match. Quinn is a book nerd who consumes romance novels regularly. When they meet up, sparks instantly fly. However, Keaton doesnt do relationships and Quinn isnt looking for one. With the intensity between them too hard to ignore, they agree on a week-long fling. Only, is a week long enough? This book is very captivating and keeps you hanging on, willing to read just one more page...but then you still cant walk away. I love the ideas behind the book he writes, Apology. I especially like the cover, dedication, and then the personal message he inscribes at the book signing. Sigh.

It was a beautiful story between two incredibly different people that some how fell into love when they weren't supposed too. It was only supposed to be a week fling. For me.....the book was longer than it was supposed to be with this story. It just kept going on and on with Keaton's weakness to fall in love.
I loved Quinn's understanding and forgiveness for Keaton in many situations. But a girl can only take so much let down before she cracks.

At first I didn't think I was going to like this book. Thought it was going to be annoying. Then I fell in love with it. The characters were great. I loved that there were no great tragedies in their lives that ruined them and so on. Definitely worth the read.
