Fairly self-absorbed and recently departed, Ashley MacLeod, was granted access to Heaven by mistake. Cast out the very next day, she was still lucky enough to be placed on the uppermost floor of Purgatory, due to her generous reaper boyfriend, Aeden. Without his credits, she would have been stuck on the lowest floor, not a place you'd want to stay. But while Ash is not a saint, or even a particularly "good girl", she was never headed for Hell. Nevetheless, that's where she finds herself in Damned and Desirable. Due to an old prophecy involving a fallen angel, several individuals in Hell want to get hold of her. Some seek salvation, others want to use her to kick-start the Apocalypse.
Luckily, her old Ghoster team captain Sarge, Grim boyfriend Aeden and faithful dog Jack, are hot on her abductor's heels. Talk about commitment:-)

Ah, yes, the fire dragon: Although I missed certain characters from the first novel, Callum more than made up for Boner's absence;-) Those who have read the first installment, know that Aeden suffers from hydrohobia and severe guilt issues. In Damned and Desirable, his background is revealed. And not only his past, but that of his less fortunate brother and wife as well. Ah, talk about family reunions from Hell...
I fell hard for poor Callum. A good guy at heart, he's trapped in this miserable existence for eternity. Even though he has no hope of escape, he's still trying to make up for his past sins, isn't that the hallmark of a man who's good at heart? Despite the f...ed up effects the hormone water has on Ash, and his own obvious attraction, he's still determined to remain strong. I really hope he will get his own book one day, Tara! Such a deserving soul/demon. Katherine, on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. Sure, there were moments when i pitied her, but not enough to wish she'll ever step out of the elevator and into the Penthouse.
The Nephilim storyline was ok, but it's clear they are the ones that will turn this fairly selfish modern girl into a deserving Penthouse resident. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and to learn how Ash fares with her three hunky protectors, the rescue mission and impending battle.

MUST HAVE MORE!!! I don't give away anything in my reviews so you have to read this to find out. Ash finds herself in hell, the actual place not a state of mind. The one person she gets help from is her grim boyfriends twin brother. Learning more of adean's past gives the book more depth and makes you want to know more. the laughs and antics continue in this and I could not put it down even at three am! All hail the water! to find out what that means: read the book! lol

Ashley MacLeod experienced what life was like Up Top before being downgraded to Purgatory, where life is a shade above Hell ... but not by much. After being tricked by someone she knows, Ash finds herself on a level of Hell which makes her otherwise crappy life in Purgatory seem like a little slice of Heaven. Ash is fighting to make it back to Purgatory, but with so many sinister demons and the trickery that comes along with them, it seems like a losing battle.
Hell is exactly what it seems -- hopeless, an endless maze full of pain and depression where not only is Ash physically assaulted, but the attack is also mental. There is no respite in Hell; the badness also invades dreams. Ash finds an unlikely ally in the form of a dragon demon who adds more to her struggle. Callum, the dragon demon, has ties to Aedan. Ash and Callum are fighting an attraction to one another -- the same kind of attraction that landed Callum in Hell to begin with.
In the Penthouse, a major perk are the valets: beings created from who the owner desires and provides whatever the owner wishes. Hell has its own creation in the form of nettles: beings created to add even more pain and suffering to the inhabitants of Hell. Whomever brought the owner grief, pain, and misery on earth becomes a nettle and follows the owner for all hellish eternity. If one is lucky, they only have one nettle. Most demons aren't and end up with two. Unlucky Ash finds herself on the receiving end of two nettles, which just makes her fight tougher and more confusing.
Along with Ash's battle to get out of Hell, there were also some surprising revelations. As the cliché goes, sometimes bad things do happen to good people and a certain dragon demon, Aedan, and Ashley are all shining examples of that. Another interesting development concerns my favorite furry friend, Jack. There's a reason Jack wasn't reincarnated and that particular aspect is really one of my favorite parts.
In the previous book, there were many hints about Aedan's past and the reason he's both fearful of water and a lifer in Purgatory. Everything is explained, heartbreaking as it was, and I loved that parts of this story were told through his POV. Several other characters narrated parts of the story and it was certainly a good way to get a deeper understanding of important characters, especially Aedan.
Where Divine and Dateless was fluffy and fun, Damned and Desirable is its opposite. With a more sinister and serious storyline, it also has the tone to match. While there was still some fun to be had, the majority of this installment was downright depressing compared to the bubblegum of its predecessor. That's certainly not a bad thing, I always appreciate when series books take decidedly different turns with each installment, this being no exception. With that in mind, I can't wait to see what Tara West does in the third installment, Damned and Desperate. Based on the first two novels, the third could really go anywhere.

Aeden, Callum, Sarge….Lord how does a girl choose?
Those are our guys in Damned And Desirable. We know Aeden (Grim) and Sarge already and now enters Callum. He’s a demon, a dragon demon, and Aeden’s twin.
I bought this on release day as soon as it came out. My 1-click finger couldn’t get there fast enough. Then I finished up reading the book I was in and snuck this one in between the other books on my calendar. I had to, even if it meant staying up too late to get caught up with another book. I’ve been waiting for this one ever since I slid my finger over the final page of Divine And Dateless.
One would think that Ash got into enough trouble in Divine and Dateless but she gets her a$$ in some seriously hot water in Damned and Desirable. Literally. Well, not water, but a literally hot situation. She’s tricked by a demon and taken down into the pits of Hell. (And she thought purgatory was bad, right?)
In Damned And Desirable we get to learn more about Aeden’s history, who he was, how he died, and about the women his life. That history that we learn gives us a whole new appreciation for Aeden and what he has been through. Through him we get our first tie to Callum.
This story is amazing. Tara West has this way of writing that has you laughing out loud at one moment and holding your breath during the next hoping a favorite character will make it out of a scene alive…or not descended down a bit further into the different dimensions of Hell.
I love Ash. She could be any of us, to me she seems so normal. She worries about the things we worry about, you know, like our hair, but has the inner strength to take on demons, and she cries when her heart is broke. I don’t think she could have been written any more perfectly, her flaws, her compassion (she didn’t realize she had), her confusion, her IBS :) – it just makes her feel real.
If you haven’t read Divine and Dateless, you should – it is one of my favorite books I have read in 2014, then pick up Damned and Desirable, another favorite book this year. After that you will be hunting Tara down along with the rest of us, begging for Damned And Desperate teasers. I cannot wait for more Ash, Aeden, Sarge, Callum, Jack, and other characters that I hope make a reappearance both from this book and the first one. It was amazing!

Tara West has done it again with Damned and Desirable. If you have not read this series you should. The first is Divine and Dateless. In this book we learn more about Aedan and his past.Ash gets kidnapped and taken to hell. How will Ash survive this adventure? We meet Aedan's twin brother Callum the sexy dragon demon along with other great new characters like Garf and king Og. I loved book 1 but this book was so much better...if I could give 6 stars I would. I can not wait for book 3.

OH WOW!! This book is phenomenal. Learning of Adean's past brings a new light to the series. Following Ash as she struggles to push through the betrayal of someone who should have been on her side and her fight to get out of hell is one that will keep you on the edge of four seat. The laughs throughout the story will stay with you for several days.

I fell in love with the first book and i was so glad that there was a second book, it follows on with the story about Ash and Aedan on level 13 of Purgatory.

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Damned and Desirable is book 2 in the Eternally Yours series by Tara West. This time Ash is kidnapped and taken to hell as a gift for the leader of sub level 1. Aiden has told her not to expect him to come to hell to rescue her if she ever happens to get her soul pulled down there, so Ash feels like she is on her own. She gets help from an unexpected source and is then introduced to this world on hell's first level. Where the water makes you horny and you have to deal with nagging people from your past.
In Damned and Desirable, you learn a lot about Aiden's past. It was a little hard having the story take you back and forth from not only the present and the past, but different points of view. We'd get portions of what was happening to Ash, then it would switch and we'd get Aiden's POV. There are definitely some interesting characters in hell. I can't imagine what we would find in the lower levels of hell!
There is a prophecy and it involves Ash. However, it appears the prophecy is interpreted in two different ways. Just when you think Ash is being saved, she runs into more problems. Thankfully, Ash is different in hell, and she will surprise you.
Damned and Desirable is full of adventure and revelations. You are left wondering about Ash's safety, her soul and her relationship with Aiden. I didn't find this one as funny as I did the first. I was getting used to the revelations of the world and they felt expected. It was a fun adventure and I'm enjoying the characters.
The narration was fun and spunky and fit the story well. Hollie Jackson has Ash and her attitude down pat. I'm still trying to get use to the drawl that she uses for the men. I'm not a fan of Aiden's voice. But Ms. Jackson does well with the flow of the story. Damned and Desirable is the second book in the Eternally Yours series by Tara West. In the first book, Divine and Dateless, we follow Ash as she dies and is taken to the Afterlife in Purgatory where she first goes to heaven, then, after one night, finds out she should have started out at level two but was sent to level 13 due to the Grim Reaper who retrieved her soul using his credits to get her an upgrade. She falls for the Grim and he her. After failing at a couple of jobs, she ends up being assigned to a ghosting team due to her interesting abilities.
This second book, Damned and Desirable, picks up where the first book left off. Only, instead of being part of the Delta ghosting team, she has been moved to Alpha team and her boss, Shadow is very strange. He kidnaps her and takes her to Hell. What ensues is a fight to escape with the help of a couple of unlikely allies. Also, her Grim, Aedan, is featured prominently in the story and we learn about his time alive as well as being introduced to new characters.
As with the first book, I loved this story. It moves along nicely and has wry humor as well as action and a little mystery, not to mention romance. We are left with a little cliff hanger and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series up in Damned and Desperate, due out in 2015.

Anyways, back to the book. Damned and Desirable blew me away. Ash and Aedan have faced serious foes and situations before but when Ash gets literally whisked away to hell.. I was a little worried for their relationship. Add in the fact, Aedan seriously and I mean seriously screws up by calling her his ex wife's name...and oh damn, Ash shows her fiery side. But it gets better, Ash's trip to hell comes fully equipped with a demon imprisoning her, horny juice for water, oh and Aedan's banished brother. This book is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! The characters are funny and very well developed. The ever evolving plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can't tell you much more without spoiling it.

Great continuation of the story! Second book was a bit darker than the first but hey, right place for dark...
A surprise in the beginning that I wasn't expecting brings Ash to places she never wanted to see...One thing she doesn't have to worry about??? Doing it alone. We meet lots of new friends in this book. Loved getting to see more of Ash, Aedan, Sarge...and JACK in action. Just as there are new characters to love, there are lots of new to loathe.
Lots of hilarious moments, lots of emotion. Find out what happens and enjoy the journey.

Wow! talk about a demon butt kick'n book, jealous boyfriend, old flames from the past and a couple of creepy Demon Lord's.... Get wild and crazy! Not a spoiler so you'll have to get this book for sure, but make sure you get #1 first! I can't wait for the next installment!

OMG, this is such a great book. Tara West has done it again. Once I started reading there was no stopping until it was finished. It moved along at a great pace, has fantastic characters and a story you will not be able to walk away from until you are done. Wow, this is a must read.

Love this freaking addition to the series! Can not wait for the next book! I laughed a lot the characters are even better in this book seeing as they get more in depth. If you have not read you really really need too!!

I enjoyed the first book in the series and I was curious to get into the sequel even if it is true that it took me a lot of time to do that. But here I am finally launched in the second volume to find out what the author would present us! Admittedly, it’s always nice to come across a light and humorous story to have a good time.
Ash finds herself trying to get her credits to gain rank in the hierarchy to reach heaven, but it seems that she is not very lucky to achieve her objectives. Indeed, it seems that her mentor, Shadow has decided that it would be otherwise by bringing her to hell to give her to one of the most powerful entities. This is where our heroine is going to understand better her lover by discovering the shadows of his past, his women, his brother, and the story behind all this too. I had a little trouble to really understand what had happened with Mar and with Katherine and I admit that I’m still a bit in the dark but it was very interesting to learn more about this reaper who took Ash’s heart. Moreover she is herself a part of that past indirectly and it is true that I understand her confusion regarding the events.
As I said we also discover Hell here and I found it interesting to see how all was governed. This is quite different from what we might imagine, but it was also quite interesting to see everything. Unlike Heaven where people have valets, here we find entities that make your life hell with the persons who can touch you the most. Moreover, it is very hot and everyone is constantly thirsty. Problem? If they drink, they become very « excited ». Yes, big problem! There are others elsewhere but I’ll let you discover them yourself.
In any case it was a nice to discover everything, I did not expect the prophecy announced but it was interesting to see it all unfold. I spent a good time with the story and I was curious to see how Ash would be able to draw from this new situation. It remains for me to discover the last book!

Well, this was disappointing, though not entirely unexpected. I was on the fence about the first book: I really enjoyed the world and the concept of different levels of heaven/hell and the various supernatural aspects of it. I wasn't so thrilled with the "romance." So I bought the second book hoping it would improve. Unfortunately, the parts I liked were diminished, and the parts I didn't like were expanded.
This book takes place largely in hell, as opposed to purgatory, and the rules are apparently thrown out the window. Tara West just continues to get better with each book in this series. I seriously could not put this one down!
In Damned And Desirable we are finally given Aedan’s past and the details behind it. It puts the story into an even better perspective as we learn about his death and the women in his life. And of course there’s Ash, who ends up getting tricked by a demon and ends up in hell. I do not want to go too much into the plot. Just know that if you’ve read the first in the series you will absolutely lose yourself in this one. And if you’ve never read one of Tara’s books, what is wrong with you? She is amazing at any genre she writes.
I found this second book in the series to be a bit more emotional-as in you feel the happiness or anger of the characters. That could be because I felt even more so invested emotionally in the characters than before as this one goes deeper. But in true Tara West fashion, she will still have you rolling off the couch laughing while clutching your kindle/book as you turn each page. This time around there is so many ups and downs and the story is never predictable. It keeps you engrossed in the story the entire time. Well done and I cannot wait for more!

Damn is this book hot!!!
All Hell is breaking loose and Ash is destined to kick ass and take names.
This is a great continuation of the story of Ash and Aedan along with a few new characters added to the mix.
This was another emotional roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off of. There is laughter, heart twinges and even a full snorts to be had here.
This is a multi pov. It has a great story line. The characters are great, the dialogue is wonderful and the description to detail is done well with not being overdone. Questions will be answered concerning Aedans past. This is action packed and fast paced.
If you haven't read Divine and Dateless yet, go and order it NOW...don't wait...don't hesitate...just do it!! Then when you get done purchasing that, then purchase Damned and Desirable. You will not be disappointed!

can't get enough of Ash and Aeden.
but now I should add three more characters the baby giant, the dragon and the flirt.
This book was in one of my most anticipated book to read. I was hooked with the first one. I think I gave a 5 stars for the first and here with this one only a 4. That doesn't mean I liked it less or else. it just felt like a really good follow up but with less, because I wasn't taken aback.
but still the essence was there.
furthermore a thing I really liked with this one, it wasn't only in one single pov but Aeden and the crazy batshit ex-wife. Something more to paint hell.
It was awesome how the author put a single fact like how she died into this kind of story leading to holy war. And now proceeding for rescue mission for the third book.
I just can't wait for it, really January will come soon, in about 2 monts and so.

Hot Damn, I loved the first book in the Eternally Yours Series this, however was so much better! Having got to know the characters in the first book ( if you have not read Divine and Dateless I recommend that you get on it!), this instalment just got better. Ash finds her self in Hell the centre of attention not only to the demons but also the Giants (Nephilim) and not to leave out Dragon.... No spoilers I really don't want to give anything away.. I will just say that things for Ash, Adean and the rest of the amazing character in this series are Hotter than Hell...
I loved how Tara West changed POV in this series to include flashback chapters that really built the story. And the sexy scenes!! Oh My.....

This series is my absolute favorite from Tara West. Loved the first book, but I love this one more. :) Really enjoyed reading more into Aedan's background. From his first love fiancé Mar to Katherine to Ash. And loving the new characters.
Aedan one night slips and calls Ash by his old loves fiancé's name. He lies to Ash about the name, but she knows he's lying. Has he truly moved on.....
Ash has a tendency to find the wrong guys...she's pulled to Aedan but has a little bit of hots for Sarge...did she choose the right one?? Then as if two guys weren't enough she gets the hots for Aedan's twin brother, sexy dragon Callum. <3
I can't wait for the next book. I need more! ;)

Amazing as Always
Tara is so incredibly talented. While touching on bible stories we have been told in Sunday school and giving it her own spin to include things that go bump in the night. Book two is even more action packed than the first and we get a look into Aedan's past to find out why this sexy grim reaper is the way he is. Absolutely can not wait to get my hands on book three!

Tara West has done it again with Damned and Desirable. If you have not read this series you should. The first is Divine and Dateless. In this book we learn more about Aedan and his past.Ash gets kidnapped and taken to hell. How will Ash survive this adventure? We meet Aedan's twin brother Callum the sexy dragon demon along with other great new characters like Garf and king Og. I loved book 1 but this book was so much better...if I could give 6 stars I would. I can not wait for book 3.

WOW Tara West out did herself with this book just so freaking awesome!!! In this book Ash in up in hell cause of Shadow. Then Aedan, Sarge, and Jack (the dog) go to hell to save Ash. What a ride this book is it well keep you on your toes guessing what going happen next. This is so a must read!!!!!!

What can I say.... Tara has done it again.. From the start of this book I was hooked and hated the fact that I had to put it down for either sleep or mum duties!! If you have not read either of these books PLEASE start now! You will not be disappointed.

Damned and Desirable is the second release in the Eternally Yours Series by Tara West and she totally rocked my world - AGAIN! I loved it! Damned and Desirable is only the second book I've read by Tara West but I can say with utmost certainty, it won't be my last! West's unique style, vivid imagination and highly addictive prose hooked me right out of the gate. By the time I hit page three of the first book of the Series, Divine and Dateless, I knew I'd struck gold with Tara West and the Eternally Yours Series. I immediately raced back to Amazon to see if there were other books in the series. And JACKPOT - I discovered a total of four books already available in the series! And the icing on the cake.... they're all available under the Kindle Unlimited program. SWEET! Although, each book could probably be read as a standalone since the author does give ample backstory, I personally would recommend reading them in order. Each release features a different adventure with many of the same characters as well as a few new additions, but....there is an overall interconnected underlying storyarc that continues throughout the series. Each book does end with what I like to call a happy for now with the insinuation of please stay tuned, there's more to come. Personally, I hope Tara West continues to write these books FOREVER! As long as she writes them, I'll keep reading them! And yes, they're that good!

Damned and Desirable is a well crafted, well edited, wonderfully imaginative, fast paced, full-length standalone supernatural tale filled to the brim with spellbinding fantasy, laugh-out-loud humor, outrageously hilarious characters, a wonderfully unique story arc and sweet, heavenly romance. No really - the romance takes place in heaven, or at least the part that doesn't happen in purgatory! What? Oh yes, this is quite the heavenly/hell read! And did I mention the steamy, dreamy sex??? Well, it has that as well! The story is exciting, original, humorous and brilliantly imaginative. The dialogue is smart, sassy, uproariously funny, well executed and flows effortlessly. But my favorite element is, without a doubt, the remarkable cast of fascinating, engaging and fabulously funny characters. They literally explode from the pages, grab your complete attention and capture your heart. The narrative is beautifully written with a first person perspective from the primary characters of the story. The main point of view is from our divinely beautiful heroine, paralegal Ashley MacLeod. Well, former paralegal since Ash is now deceased and newest member of the Supernatural Intervention Agency's Delta Squadron. Huh? What the heck? Yup, as a result of an unfortunate blow dryer accident, Ash is now one of the dearly departed and a newbie gifted ghoster in training! But it's a long story and definitely one you want to read, especially the part about Aedan O'Connor, the handsome, hunky Grim Reaper assigned to escort Ash to her brand new heavenly home. There are new characters added in each subsequent release along with more first person perspectives but the points of view are primarily from Ash and Aedan. You would think if Ash is rewarded with a trip to heaven, then everything would be perfect, right? Wrong! It seems there are screw-ups even inside the Pearly Gates and someone just made a biggie. Oops! Looks like Ash won't be staying in the Penthouse after all and she certainly won't be having the perfect afterlife as her Grim promised. What's a girl to do? Well, she could start by falling in love with her Grim after she's thrown out of her Penthouse and reassigned to purgatory. But if she's lucky, maybe her handsome new Grim lover will come rescue her when she's betrayed, led into a trap, kidnapped and held prisoner in hell! When rating and reviewing a book, I always ask myself several questions. First, what did I love about this story? Pretty much everything! I adore anything paranormal or supernatural and love stories with comedy and romance but when I find a book that has it all, I'm in heaven! Sorry, I just couldn't resist the pun. Although this book contained 272 pages of outrageous humor and ooey-gooey heavenly goodness, it was a quick, easy to follow read. Once I started reading, I simply could not stop. I was glued to my Kindle with the hours passing seemingly as minutes. I loved it! Second, I ask if there was anything I didn't like? And truthfully, not a darn thing! Third, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some exquisitely written sex scenes.....Swoon! Fourth, will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Good gracious, yes! Totally and completely entertained! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Short review. 3.25 I like this book slightly better than the first, we learn more about hell and how much the rules are different there, Hell makes the first levels of purgatory seem like a gift. I still have a problem with Ash being ruled by her sexual drive whenever she's around an attractive man, but at least in this it was more understanding I don't want to spoil why that is but if you read it you'll get why it didn't bother me that much. My favorite part was learning about Aeden's past which was one of things I really wanted to learn/read about from the first book.
