Ron Cobb was born in 1937.
Cartoonist/illustrator of social/political/environmental protest.
Ron Cobb's kaleidoscopic career includes his early years doing covers for Famous Monsters magazine, his five year stint as a countercultural editorial cartoonist for the LA Free Press, his one year sojourn in Australia where he cartooned and painted, and finally his hugely successful life as a pre-production designer for science fiction/fantasy movies, a field in which he is still involved.

Many of these cartoons are as relevant today as they were in the 60s and 70s. Even more disturbingly, a few of them may be even more so.
