Charles Swindoll has devoted over four decades to two passions: an unwavering commitment to the practical communication and application of God's Word, and an untiring devotion to seeing lives transformed by God's grace. Chuck graduated magna cum laude from Dallas Theological Seminary and has since been honored with four doctorates. For his teaching on Insight for Living, he has received the Program of the Year award and the Hall of Fame award from the National Religious Broadcasters as well as multiple book awards.

Charles Swindoll wrote a set of devotions around Abraham. I think it is well written and it is nice that he gives you everyday something to reflect on, so you can make the devotional practical. The only thing is that I am really not a biblical diary person. The devotionals are too short, around 5 minutes per day. I like to dig in deeper into the Word of God. Of course that is personal. So if you want a quick read everyday, than I would recommand this one.

Loves this book

This is a inspiration. Reminding us that to be a friend of God. Is to have a relationship with God. Witch in turn means having faith in the Lord. I would recommend any of Mr. Swindoll's books

I have been a "fan" of Charles Swindoll since the year 1984. Yes, I do, in fact, remember quite well the year I first heard his radio program. For years now, I have sat and listened to his teaching, taking notes and being encouraged every weekday.

I have read his books absorbing practical insights to my life as he opened up the truth of Scriptures and their application.

This was a very precious book during a very hard time in my life. I am so glad the Lord brought it across my path. It blessed me so much that I passed it on to someone else who was going through a hard time as well.
