Becca fell in love with storytelling at an early age. The first book she ever read was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and she’s been looking for the door to Narnia ever since! She’s a passionate reader, consuming any mix of paranormal, mystery, thriller, sci-fi, or fantasy. So it’s no surprise that she writes in these genres as well. When Becca is not writing, she loves to sew, from cosplay to elaborate magical creature bags, she just loves to create!

Becca Smith once again delivers a unique perspective of Greek mythology mixed with modern day problems with "Grigori Returned," the second book in the Atlas Series. The start begins right at the ending of book one when Kala kills her beloved, Jack. She doesn't even have time to grave before she is whisked away with Penny/ Pandora.

Kala discovers Penny has her own selfish reasons for wanting to help her. She wants to rescue her father, Hesphaestus, who currently being held prisoner in the 5th dimension of hell. Additionally, Kala's former run in with Atlas is proving to be interesting as new and unique abilities begin to emerge. As Kala begins searching in earnest for a way to reverse the curse, she is attacked on all fronts by General Clifton, Demons and now, Cronos. Of course, Asmodeus hasn't given up on his quest to destroy her, get in her pants or in her heart.

Still reeling from the death of Jack, Kala doesn't even want to consider another relationship; yet, she can't help but notice the connection she has with Talon. It is clear he wants her in every way. Roberta, General Turner's wife finds a way to communicate through telepathy with Kala and assists her whenever she can but Kala is the only one who can complete her mission or task as the Atlas.

There is plenty of action and subterfuge in this installment but quite honestly I quickly tired of the many scenes where Kala pops from place to place and confronting various foes. It was too much and really didn't move the plot forward very much. Quite honestly, it felt more like filler than anything else especially since so much of it was one recap of Greek myths after another. Also, I didn't like the way the author has Kala attracted to so many males in the story. Geez, she is a woman not a teen, she should know who she wants to be with. I hope many of my issues are resolved in the next book because this series has the potential to be amazing if a balance between mythology and present day events is achieved. We can only hope.

for a fast read I found the book to be ok...the story could certainly could have had so much more depth and character development done but then I like my books to be 500 hundred or more pages so I did find it enjoyable but would have liked more.

Like a drug. Seriously compelling and addictive. But not that good either. I'm confused and anxious to read more. Damn.
