For two years, I’ve been the perfect weapon—beautiful, calculated, and built for revenge. Lorenzo Bellanti is the Devil’s Hand, the mafia’s most feared enforcer. I crawled into his bed to destroy him from the inside out.
But I didn’t plan on craving the man behind the monster. Didn’t plan on carrying his baby.
Now I’m trapped in the same underground cell where my brother died—my unborn child a pawn in a brutal power game.
I was the trap. Now I’m the target.
And the man I meant to ruin? He’s coming for me—with blood in his eyes and nothing left to lose.
Some debts are paid in blood. But whose blood will hit the floor first?
I LOVED this novella. It was a breath of fresh air when I’ve been on a super dark kick lately. I loved that there was a dual POV. Lorenzo was yummy as are most mafia men I read. The FMC was a badass which of course we don’t have enough of.

Obsidian Devotion cracked me open in ways I didn’t see coming. I picked it up for the revenge plot, the promise of blood-soaked betrayal, and a morally gray mafia enforcer. What I got? A gut punch of emotions, a forbidden pregnancy, and a twisted, slow-motion detonation of two broken souls colliding in the most deliciously destructive way.
Let me just say this: Lorenzo Bellanti is not your average mafia antihero. He is the Devil’s Hand—lethal, remorseless, and feared for damn good reason. I went in wanting him to suffer. Honestly, I was ready to watch him break. But then he looked at her—at me—with that unspoken desperation under all the violence, and suddenly I wasn’t so sure who was breaking who.
Because here’s the kicker—I wasn’t some helpless, innocent heroine. I went into this with blood on my hands and a revenge mission stitched into my bones. I was the seductress, the weapon, the storm that was supposed to tear Lorenzo down. And yet… I fell for him. Not in some sweet, fairytale way. No. It was brutal. Addictive. Every look, every stolen moment—it all blurred the lines until I couldn’t tell where hate ended and obsession began.
And then? The twist of all twists—I got pregnant.
Now I’m trapped, carrying the child of the man I swore I’d destroy, and imprisoned in the same underground hell where my brother died. Every breath I take is a countdown to a war I might not survive. And still—still—I find myself hoping Lorenzo will come for me.
And oh, he does.
Not as the mafia’s monster. Not as the man I tried to ruin. But as something far more dangerous—a man in love, with nothing left to lose. And let me tell you, a man like that? He will burn empires to the ground.
Sylvia Rae delivers a story that hurts in the best way—dark romance meets mafia vengeance with stakes so high I couldn’t breathe half the time. This book doesn’t just scratch that morally gray itch, it digs in deep and leaves you wrecked—in the way only the best kind of broken love stories can.
If you need me, I’ll be in a dark corner rocking with my emotions and whispering “he came for her” like a prayer and a warning. 😮💨🔥
A novella about a couple that was brought together by vengeance and betrayal but they fought through them to find love. Her brother was found by her uncle who uses her for his vengeful plot. Changing her name to get close to the one who took her brother from her. It doesn’t take long before they become close, during this time other things have been happening with the two. She finds out she’s growing a family with the enemy. Her uncle shows up and later he shows things come out and before anything happens her uncle shows up with his men. The two find out what really happened to her brother and why her uncle was doing what he was doing. They find out how much they love one another. At the end they went on a little vacation together with his family. She blames herself even having nightmares. The two are happy that they’re starting a family. The couple is in love and happy. An outstanding novella with drama, suspense, intrigue, thrill, action, a steamy romance with a happily ever after ending which was easy to read, a page turner as well as having wonderful characters throughout the novella.

Obsidian Devotion is another excellent book by Sylvia Rae. Sophia Bianchi and Lorenzo Bellanti have a complicated relationship. Sophia hates Lorenzo because she believes he murdered her brother. Sophia is sent to infiltrate the Bellanti family to seek revenge. She just didn’t count on falling in love with Lorenzo.
Rae has created another well written story with lots of suspense and drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what might happen next. There were lots of twists in this sometimes-scary story. The story plot is multi-layered and complicated, just like the characters. The author has done a fabulous job with world building and bringing to life the mafia families. There was violence, but that is to be expected with a mafia story. Overall, I enjoyed this dark, intense, and complicated suspense drama full of family drama, tension, revenge, mistrust, betrayal, and redemption. I would recommend it for those readers interested in mafia romance stories.

I wanted to love this book because book two was terrific. Unfortunately, there were too many threads that got dropped and unbelievable actions that were so frustrating.
The good - Sofia and Lorenzo are good together. She's tough and sassy. He's tough and devoted. The not good - Lorenzo is an enforcer and his sister understands the family business but they both only did a very shallow background check on Sofia. Sofia didn't think when it came to her family because it was given away in the first few pages. She's supposed to be intelligent. Not one mention of Gabriel after he escapes even though it's been a huge part of the storyline. Unfortunately, that negatively affected the story. I understand the story was short, but the loose threads needed to be tied off. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’d rate this 3.5 stars if I could. It is a novella, so with it being short, I understand it’s harder to have everything in detail about the entire story. I will say I love Sofia and Lorenzo. They were perfect in my opinion. Only reason I rated it 3 stars is because some things weren’t cleared up. Meaning Gabriel. The book felt a little unfinished because of that. Also, she’s opening a business in Italy, so I’m assuming they moved there? I feel like maybe that could’ve been in more detail. I loved book 2, but this one I feel like needed to be just a chapter or 2 longer. Then the happy ending epilogue. Other than those 2 points, I loved the plot twist of Carlos. And we always love a vengeful FMC

This is a story about revenge and the journey Sofia and Lorenzo take together. Lorenzo is the one she targets because he is the reason her brother was brutally taken from her. It doesn't take long before more happens between them than she thought and wanted. But after spending a night together, things turn out to be different than expected from how her brother died. And when she becomes the target herself, can Lorenzo help her in time and keep her safe or will she die the same way her brother did? Action, suspense, confusion, danger, violence, a dose of revenge and enough steam make their story worth it and a must read!

Sofia a bartender is out to avenger her family. Lorenzo is the enforcer of his family and has a full plate of traitors to seek.
This is a love based on hate. As the story unravels you’ll learn more of what drives each person and how it brings them closer.
This story is filled with danger, violence, and revenge. It’s a fast read and draws you deeper and deep, page after page. Highly recommend this story, it is the 3rd short story in this series.
Happy Reading📖🌻

Having been shown a video of her brother’s death at the hands of Lorenzo. From that moment she vowed revenge. Two years later Sofia is a bartender for the Lorenzo family night club. Lorenzo is no angel, as the the family enforcer he is used to dishing out pain and lets say he has no problem being the enforcer. When these two meet chemistry, each has thoughts of revenge and looking for traitors. Two sides of coin, love and hate, revenge, emotions, twists that make our character see the truth of the other.

So glad I got to receive an ARC copy to review before release date!
My rating for this would be a 4.5 star. I’d give it a 5, but without giving any spoilers, there are a few slight contradictions throughout the book and spelling/grammar errors. It was SUCH a good book. Most of the quick reads feel too rushed, but this felt like a regular novel, but you can read it in about it an hour. It pulled me in right away, kept my attention, and it was detailed really well. I absolutely loved it! Good suspense, good spice, good action.
What can I say I’m a sucker for them mafia men! Sofia was shown a horrifying video of her brother being killed by none other Lorenzo Bellanti. Sofia took 2 years to build a plan for revenge, revenge for the brother she loved that was stolen from her. The best way take down his killer Lorenzo the enforcer by becoming a bartender at the family club. Lorenzo being the mafia god he is doesn’t trust anyone, but will keep Sofia close. Just like the 2 books in this series this was amazingly well written and the plot was great. Can’t wait to read more.
“A future carved from the ruins of vengeance” -literally describes this story to a T. I have loved all of these books so far but this one was so good. Sofia infiltrating the family, holding her own and then falling for Lorenzo. Only to then find out the plot twist- that I kind of suspected all along. I love how softened Lorenzo became at the end of the story. If this is on your TBR list than I recommend you just go ahead and get to reading it!
This was great! Fast read, great tropes, and kept me interested. I enjoyed all the characters. It got bumped down half a star, only because it felt like it was missing something. Im just not exactly sure what. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick read with mafia, dark romance, unexpected pregnancy, and enemies to lovers.

Sylvia Rae has brought some twists and turns to this plot that were captivating as well as intriguing. The plot was layered and complex as it begins with distrust and assumptions. Sophia and Lorenzo are considered enemies, but their attraction is hard to resist. It was entertaining and action-packed. I could not get enough of this story and did not want to put it down.

Sofia lost her brother in a brutal way and Lorenzo was the cause, she vowed revenge and got exactly that when she got into his bed, but is anything truly as it seems and when Sofia becomes a target will she share her brothers fate? Well written steamy, fast read, desires, violence, revenge, enemies to lovers and more
Loved reading the wonderfully written mafia romance story. Sofia's goal is to get revenge against Lorenzo who she believes killed her brother, but Sofia is unbelievably drawn to Lorenzo, and Lorenzo wants Sofia with a passion. Read the highly recommended and another must read riveting story by the amazing author, Sylvia Rae.
dark mafia world of the Bellantis comes through again with Obsidian Devotion, this time focusing on the family enforcer Lorenzo, as usual with Sylvia Rae this was Mafia perfection, although short this book packs alot into the story without ever feeling rushed, murder, lies and betrayal are all part of the package but totally and completely worth it with a beautiful "choosing each other" vibe.
This mafia romance read is not only the perfect book to be reading this weekend, but your one click away from some steamy romance between Lorenzo and Sofia. So, check this romance book out by Sylvia and while you're at it read the first two books in the Empire of Sin & Blood because they are just as HOT and full of romance.
When revenge is the only thing you can think about Sofia infiltrating the enemy’s ranks. Lorenzo falls hard and fast for Sofia yet he still knows she is hiding something. The twist at the ending was so unexpected!!.

Loved reading Lorenzo’s story. Love how you get to see the ruthless family enforcer and the protector in Lorenzo is hot to see unfold. With Sofia coming after her brother’s killer and revenge in her mind she meets her match in this story. Can’t wait to read the next story.
Lorenzo is the Bellani enforcer and Sofia is determined to bring him down following the death of her brother. She infiltrates his club and starts to cause problems in the family. Lots of betrayal, close calls and forgiveness. Best book in the series so far.

This was good. Hot and fast-paced. This was a good short story. But I wish there was more to it. Like what happens next and in the breaks of time, what happened? But for what it does have is well written and detailed.
Two Years Sofia has waited two years to destroy Lorenzo for killing her brother. But when she’s near him the electricity between them short circuits her very mind! How can she want him so badly after what he did? Given the chance will she destroy him or will he destroy her with his every touch?!
OMG, another great read by Sylvia Rae. Short, sweet, and packed with action.. This book had me on the edge of my seat, especially in the last couple of chapters. I can't wait for the next book..
