After a shocking confrontation, Dan and Ry must return to the past to find answers to their future. As they delve into what made them who they are, what they discover in each other's will change everything.

Things are looking up for Nick Ashton. His sophomore year at art school is half over. He has a boyfriend he likes. The future seems secure. But when tragedy unexpectedly strikes his family, Nick is shocked out of his comfortable life. As the aftermath changes his perception of the people around him, Nick begins to realize he's more trapped than he knew. His perfect life may not be so perfect after all - and the only way to escape might be to become a different person entirely.

Years before and across the country, Dan Sebring’s comfortable routine is shaken up when a relative unexpectedly turns up on his doorstep in need of help. Thrust suddenly into being a parental figure to a gay teenager, a role he's utterly unprepared for, Dan must navigate the turbulent waves of responsibility. But the world is harsh, protecting someone you care about is easier said than done, and failure can be deadly.

In the present, Nick (now Ry) and Dan’s collision has led to a second violent death. In the hours after, the two must delve into the past for clues about the future. The revelations that they find will change them both, the consequences will affect everyone they love, and the choices both men make will save or condemn them.

Charles W. Rogers (sometimes C. W. Rogers) is an LA-based writer and podcaster. He is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in "Dramatic Writing," which is just a fancy way to say he spent too much money on coffee while writing scripts for four years. When not writing, he is a co-host of the Star Wars tv analysis podcast "Gold Squadron Gays" and a cast member of the TTRPG podcast "For Light And Dice".

When he is not writing or grumbling into a microphone about Star Wars, Charles spends his time bothering his cat Jonathan Harker with random history facts he read and replaying the Dragon Age games.

Well folks, CW Roger's has done it again with Confessional, the fourth installment of his electrifying, queer thriller series Beachouse Studios.

What really strikes me, as this saga unfolds, is just how endlessly creative Rogers is with his storytelling. Thrillers don't tend to have this many parts without getting stale, but Rogers switches up the formula with each installment to keep his audience engaged and on their toes.

Immediately following the series-bending events of Threesome, Confessional dedicates many of its breezy pages to filling the gaps in our knowledge that have been trickling in thus far. Backstories have a tendency to slow the action down, but by now, we've become so invested in these crazy yet compelling characters that I ate them up happily. Not to mention Roger's experiments with form and style during these segments in a way that compliments the story and the characters.

It all makes for a chaotic and propulsive penultimate episode that has become so indicative of the Beachouse Studio name. The final chapter is promised for Spring 2026, and trust me when I say my nerves are already standing on end.
