No Deal Breakers

Rate this book
One depressed would-be groom and one runaway with a dark past collide and make a split second decision to marry. Marriage seems the only answer to both of their problems. Brian just wants a wife and a family. Aria needs safety, home, and as far away from her past as she can get. At first Aria's only logical solution is to marry the first man that proposes, but once she gets to know him she realizes what a mistake that was.

Too bad they've already said "I do" After much convincing from Brian, Aria decides to head home to Iowa with him and attempt to make it work. Will Iowa be far enough away from Las Vegas and her dark past, or will it all catch up to her and prove to be too much for them to handle together?

This is a story of faith, love, forgiveness, redemption and God's unfailing mercy and love for us, no matter who we've been in the past.

No Deal Breakers is a stand alone in the Hanesworth Series. While all of the books take place in the same small town and feature some familiar faces, they can be read alone.

Brian Harris finds his fiancée Kara in bed with another guy. He finds out she never really loved him at all. So what does any normal man do? Why marry the next woman he sees! It happens to be Arrianna Rochelle. After a few hours of married life she starts having cold feet. I don’t know you, you don't know me, why did we do this, Ari is really scared.........Brian tells her, I don’t do anything half way, and we will work this out. They each begin to tell the other about themselves and so it evolves with the characters finding basic details about each other, their lives, their dreams etc. While Brian is a Christian, takes marriage seriously, Ari has lived a dark life no girl should have to face. In fact she is running away from this life when she meets Brian. She is fearful, yet strong and learns a lot about herself. The story is well written and has enough twists to keep you interested. Written from a Christian perspective of one guy one girl for life, the characters are well developed and real. Ari learns to take Brian at his word when he says "I did not marry you just for sex" and that marriage takes communication. The story continues with each learning about the other and seeing life from new viewpoint, learning to communicate. While any new marriage is rocky, this one has boulders and mountains to climb. It’s a sweet story of discovery. I enjoyed the book and would read another by this author.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book. But I was so wrong, I loved it! I was a little nervous because it said it had religion in it and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like. But it wasn’t what I thought. The characters mention God and they go to church, but they are not preaching to you in this book. So the religion is a small part of the book. It is not the main focus of the story. This is how I saw it and others might take it differently. I really enjoyed reading about the journey Brian and Aria had in order to get to their happiness.

This is a very sweet romance story of a man named Brian and his new wife Aria. They are complete strangers when they get married. They know nothing about each other. Aria is trying to escape from a horrible past and Brian just wants love and a marriage. In the story you learn how they overcome some huge and difficult challenges and finally have their happy-ever-after. This story had me laughing in parts and crying in others. When you read this you won’t be disappointed.

Brian is reeling from the break up of his engagement and feeling sorry for himself during a trip to Las Vegas on the day that was supposed to have been his wedding day. He marries Aria on a whim within hours of meeting her. Brian is devoted to the marriage, no matter how ridiculous and ill-thought out it was. Aria realizes after it's too late that she won't be able to be the wife that he deserves. Will they be able to overcome her dark past and start a life together, or will her secrets be too much for them to handle?

What a sweet little read! It makes you think of all the things we take advantage of everyday. It shows how we as Christians should be. Brian Harris is a breath of fresh air and he has an unbelievable amount patience. Aria has so much hurt and disappointment in her life and shows how strong she is with her faith. It is wonderful how they both cope with all the emotional issues. Very inspirational and loving. Thank you for letting me read Amanda Clark! Highly recommended.

I didn't find out that this was the author's first book until after I had read it and I still don't believe it. This book captured my heart and attention from the beginning. The characters were well-written, relatable, and realistic. The content, like the characters, very well-written and realistic. I loved getting the character's inner thoughts on certain events. It gave the reader more chances to really understand why the characters were behaving in a certain way. I certainly would not hesitate to read more from the author if this is the type of work she puts out.

This inspiriational romance of secrets is the first book written by Amanda Clark. The plot is great. The characters are well developed and the story is well written. It deals with some serious issues in marriage. With marrying in haste and Aria's past and secrets, will the marriage last? This is my first read by Amanda Clark, but not my last. I recommend this book. I was given a copy for an honest review.

Inspirational romance isn’t my usual genre, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The author shows talent and her writing flows well. The plot and characters are well done.

The book touches on some serious issues, and I enjoyed the fact that it was rather realistic in the treatment and the fact that there was no “insta-love” so tritely used in many romance novels today.

I’d definitely like to read more from this author in future.

I received a copy in return for an honest review.

Unconditional Love

Aria has had a horrible life from the age of 12 on. She meets Brian and a few hours later they are married. She did it to escape from her past. He knows she has major issues but has the patience needed to earn her trust. Will she open up to him and can they have a real marriage? Great Read.

This was a sweet story of escaping a horrible past. Aria is running away and Brian just happens to be the Knight in shining armor. While the relationship is quite unconventional the two grow together with patience and by the grace of God. Being a Christian woman myself I enjoyed this book immensely.

I'd read more from this author.
Thank you for a sweet read.
