I write romances that make you believe in butterflies, second chances, and happily-ever-afters. I never imagined I'd be here. It all started when I signed up for a writing course on a whim—mostly curious, a little skeptical. I wasn't sure storytelling was my thing... until I typed "The End" on my very first book.
At that moment, I was hopelessly hooked. Now, weaving love stories is my favourite obsession! Before the words took over, I spent my days lost in paintbrushes and canvases. But once romance grabbed my heart, there was no going back.
I’ve traded my easel for endless drafts, steamy scenes, and swoony heroes who make my pulse race. If you're craving stories full of chemistry, teasing banter, soulful moments and that perfect lingering kiss, then buckle up.
Escape with me into a world of blooming love and racing hearts.
An office romance between Ryan & Sarah. The beginning was slow and not particularly interesting and many times I found myself speed-reading which I rarely do in a book I’ve never read before.
There were some gaps in narration, things that the MCs mention but we never actually witnessed and the writing lacked some flow; too short sentences, paragraphs and chapters where nothing happened.
And because things were missing, I couldn’t feel the chemistry between them. Also, I didn’t find Ryan particularly grumpy.
I had the feeling that things were rushed and were packed near the end of the book instead of a more even distribution. The blurb had appealed to me but it took so long I started doubting if it was even correct.
Finally, the make-up was too fast, and there was hardly any grovel.
This is a quick read, sweet romance, a bit of angst, some suspense that helps keep you wrapped up in the story. Not a lot of spice, but enough to enhance the story. I thought the character development was pretty well done and the overall storyline was good. There were a few times I thought the timeline felt a little off but it didn’t really detract from the overall enjoyment of the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a sweet billionaire romance with a boss/employee connection, great chemistry and some forbidden love. Sarah and Ryan work so well together, and it was great seeing Sarah come to the rescue and help her boss with all the work drama going on. There is touches of mystery too with someone trying to sabotage the company, and trying to work out why things keep going wrong.
✨"Beneath that shy exterior she's intelligent and passionate. She's standing up to me, which takes guts"
✨"And there it is again - that spark between us. That magnetic pull despite our best efforts to resist. We're both walking a tightrope here, trying to maintain our professionalism"
✨"He's the person I most look forward to seeing every day. As my strength returns, so does my realisation - I'm completely and hopelessly in love with him"
✨"I don't know how to begin or end the day without you"
Fans of the billionaire / forbidden workplace trope will enjoy this book especially with the additional suspense elements of corporate espionage.
Ryan and Sarah’s meet cute at a charity costume gala provides an opportunity to explore their attraction. Without the masks, they would have resisted their connection due to corporate policy.
Sarah’s loyalty and dedication is questioned when estranged relationships are revealed. The source of the espionage is surprising.
This author makes her characters relatable and the reader easily develops an emotional bond with them. Looking forward to more titles from her.
