About the author

Abu Taher Misbah (Bengali: আবু তাহের মিসবাহ/মিছবাহ), also known as Adib Hujur, is a prominent Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, educator, and writer born on March 6, 1956. His father's name is Misbahul Haque. Despite his ancestral roots in Cumilla, Misbah grew up in Dhaka and completed his Islamic education, culminating in a Master's degree from Al-Jamia Al-Islamia Patiya in 1977.

Misbah's career in education began at Jamia Islamia Darul Ulum Madania and included a 25-year tenure at Jamia Nuria Islamia. During this time, he initiated an educational reform movement through a handwritten Arabic magazine called "Iqra" and developed the influential Madani curriculum. In 1992, he founded Madrasatul Madina under the supervision of Abdul Hai Paharpuri.

His most significant contributions include authoring "Esho Arabi Shikhi," a primary textbook for Arabic learning in Bangladesh, and numerous other educational materials. Misbah's work has had a lasting impact on Islamic education and Arabic language instruction in Bangladesh, establishing him as a respected figure in both religious scholarship and Bengali literature.
