When the love of your life is taken, in a very brutal way? What’s next? Nail them on the outhouse!
It had been a very rough winter for Quint Reagan and his beautiful wife; Consuelo. They had lost half of their herd, but the best news was that Consuelo was going to have a baby. To make ends meet and prepare for future expenses, Quint was forced to take a job as Sheriff of Big Horn, a small town about 4 miles downriver from their ranch. Leaving his wife home alone was something that bothered Quint, but he felt a little better because he knew his cow dog Ranger would alert her of anyone approaching or other danger.
He had worked a little late that fateful night but when he got home, he found her tied to their bed, naked and dead. He knew that life would never be the same for him again, but one thing he knew for sure. The six men that had done this would pay. He would hunt down every one of them and make sure that they knew what he felt before he killed them.
After the funeral, he turned in his badge, he would not ride under that guise. He rode back to the ranch for the last time, to pick up Ranger and his guns. He was packing a Smith and Wesson Russian, two Colt’s, a Winchester, and a coach gun that he would use to hunt down these owlhoots, and he knew just where to find them and the man that sent that deadly message.

What did I like? Wow, talk about an emotional read, I cried more alligator tears than ever before. I raged and felt the pain of loss with Quint, and certainly wanted to join him on his trail to hunt down these scoundrels. I don’t even want to call them “men” because real men would never do that to a woman. I can tell you one thing for sure; I was standing next to Quint each time he fired his gun!!!!
What will you like? Gunplay, heartbreak, emotional, and revenge!!! The details and descriptions will have you right in the middle of everything. Larry knows his way around western life and shows us with every word that he puts to paper. It takes an excellent writer to make a reader hurt as bad as his character does when they feel the loss. Larry can transfer that pain, and those emotions directly into your heart. I know that he is working on making this book into a movie. I wish him luck in getting it all put together and look forward to the results. You can be sure that I will be the first person in line at the box office. Another excellent read from the man with the golden fingers!!!

GREED, REVENGE, & ROMANCE
5 STARS for this Historical Old West Era Drama that occurs after the Civil War the over the top greed that some of hard men brought with them to Montana; along with evil men to do whatever acts to propel the rich man to greater riches. What a spectacular difference our Quint, who served as a Sheriff besides their ranch; so good & kind to all the people in the town & surrounding area even Indians. Swearing Revenge was the only thing he could do when he found her, his pregnant wife the way those 7 men from the Triple R had left her! Guns, shooting privates off in this action packed thriller drama I recommend. Western & probably one life many men lived.

Good Book
I have enjoyed reading this book. I liked how Quint went after the killers of his wife, even though he was a gentle man. And he met a nice lady at the end.
