After slaying a Lord-class monster, Jordan earns massive rewards—and paints a target on his back. The System responds with a global in six days, the entire world levels up. Every monster, every faction, every alien species gets stronger.
Jordan doesn’t have time to celebrate. His kingdom is small, his army still growing, and his enemies are advancing fast. Ruthless alien factions are expanding their territory. Hidden species make their move. And forces watching from beyond the planet are ready to interfere.
The clock is ticking. Jordan must push his class, his summons, and his drone army to the limit to survive what comes next. But nothing—nothing—can prepare them for what the countdown really means.
Because the System isn’t done testing them. And it’s about to raise the difficulty. Again.

starts strong, grabbing attention with a promising opening. But after the first few chapters, the story stalls. Little happens— the single fight with drones dispatched from afar lacks buildup, feeling flat. Crafting is underwhelming, with only a slightly better land drone. The cliffhanger ending reinforces the sense of an incomplete book.
First off I am not a fan of where the book ended. The next thing that I’m not into are negative anxiety riddled characters that stress about things outside of their control. Let it go. Do all that you can but negative thoughts over what might be are not productive. I was also left wanting much more from the short stories of the minor characters. The mc’s choice to upgrade something he hadn’t used yet was also frustrating.
I waited for this book, the drones, the cool concepts. Then when it arrived all that happened was thinking and planning. Like 1/6th of the book was actual progress. The rest was talking and thinking about plans. I think I'm done with this series.
Big cliff ending so that’s not fun. This book had less action than the first and despite the potential for kingdom building, and even POV switches, it ended up being a lot of crunchiness about the MC. Definitely an interesting world but in this book I did a lot of skimming.
This book is essentially filler. Very little happens that drives forward the storyline even down time in any meaningful way. Felt like reading half a book .
This is a fun story. The pacing is better than the first book and the self introspection has greatly improved. The MC is OP but yet not. It’s an interesting ride.
