This was my first read by this author. At first I started not to read it because it was very short. I figured everything was going to be too rushed and therefore not believable, I was wrong. Because it was short I don't want to give away too much of the story.

The heroine (Tanisha) is a Nurse Practitioner on the Cancer ward of a hospital. She's very caring and protective of her patients, who tend to be young. Along comes a volunteer; the hero (Zach). At Zach and Tanisha's first meeting, Tanisha is very snippy with Zach, because she doesn't quite trust his motives.

Zach is a new volunteer at the hospital. He has his reasons for volunteering and is not forthcoming with that information, and he also has a secret. He is a little rough around the edges, but as time goes by Tanisha and Zach seem to work things out.

As I stated above this is a very short story, but I found myself caught up into the story; even shedding a couple of tears, and wanting to know more about Zach and Tanisha. I wanted to know their backstories. Although we're given a happy ending, I would not consider it a complete HEA. I wish the author would have made this story longer, because Zach and Tanisha's story was a beautiful one.

Loving a nurse

This was a real heartwarming short story about how love finds us when we least expect it to. I definitely recommend this to be read.
