Like water shaping the land, Chonlada Kunanon flows into enemy territory, slipping into Wathin Group to dismantle its power from within. Her target? Apo Wathinwanit—the cold, calculating businesswoman who has crushed her family’s ambitions.
But the deeper Chonlada dives, the stronger the currents pull her under. Apo is nothing like she expected—strong, unyielding, and dangerously captivating. What begins as a mission of sabotage turns into a struggle against the tide of her own emotions.
Can Chonlada stay afloat in this treacherous game, or will she let the water consume her completely?
I didn’t have high expectations going into this book since the premise looked quite simple. But then, Water turned out to be such a fun read. Honestly felt like watching a good old classic romance from the 90s-2000s.
Chapter 9 is prolly my favorite part. This is where I also fell for P’Apo.
And I’m just going to say it: reading a queer romance where the main leads aren’t creepy, manipulative, walking red flags feels like therapy for my gay heart (traumatized by straight romance I’ve seen or read in the past).
The book was a really easy read. Nothing truly deep going on but it was still interesting at all times for me. The plot twist was a good addition. I really like that we see the cousins more in this book than the previous one. Overall it was a good read uhmm but I still feel like it reads more like a fanfiction than a serious book which is not bad as I say it was an easy read. However depending on how you wish to compare it to other books is when ranking it becomes tricky. I liked it more than the previous one. I would give it like a 3.8-4⭐️? Something like that.. not sure completely I will keep think about it
I read it obviously because the series is coming up soon. I believe the casting were excellent choices. Specially Charlotte as Lada. I can totally see her portraying that character. It was fun to read and imagine the actresses playing their roles.
Me gustó...
THE SEA PHRASES MADE BY APO TO REFER TO LADA WERE JUST LOVELY OMG.
I'm grateful that the drama wasn't focus on homophobia. And also I was expecting a little bit of more rivalry, however the drama the book already had was enough. I love Chonlada and Apo so much, they were so beautiful. 💗
