Devon McCormack grew up in the Georgia suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting worlds and characters that allow him to live out whatever fantasy he chooses. Devon is an out and proud queer man living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Devon's body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.

4.5 Winged Hearts

 photo 20140825_149831408970333_zpsjelvnni2.jpg

First things first, I think I have a wing kink. I knew I liked hot wings, though I'm not a huge bird enthusiast, clearly if I'm digging the hot wings, but these particular wings had an... odd effect on me. Any time the fluffy wings stretched I found myself growling or groaning a little. S'hot, right?

As for the second installment in The Clipped Saga, it's another adventure of breakneck proportions. From the start McCormack set a punishing pace that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Have your Gatorade ready and maybe some carbs to keep your strength.

It picks up shortly after the end of Clipped with Treycore searching for a portal into hell to find Kid and Kinzer and Maggie searching for her child, the Christ. Treycore goes hat in hand to his first love, Eilee, to ask for help. Eilee is still pining for Trey and is not exactly stable, but I really liked her. She's kind of shallow and exceedingly vain but also a bad ass angel who will kick your ass then fix her hair and probably change her dress just because. They have many run ins with tentacle-y things who are most inappropriate, some downright rude even with their tentacles. Trey withstands his journey through hell in a Princess Bride like adventure to save his love from evil Vera.

Kinzer's efforts to find Janka and Veylo are no less arduous or violent, though decidedly less tentacle-y. Kinzer and Hayde's story is classic enemies to lovers done exceptionally well. Having both of their perspectives provided a front row seat to the second guessing and angst and, let's not forget the most important thing, HATE FUCKING!!! Really it was more angry sex, but hate fucking packs more of a punch, doesn't it?

There was a very yin-yang between the two storylines with Trey's being more romantic enduring hardships to reunite with and hopefully save Kid while Kinzer's tale is darker. Kinzer having suffered loss and betrayal thinking he'll never find love again and if he does will he be able to trust or believe it. Bound is very much a story of love, loss, redemption, forgiveness and sacrifice all all rolled up into a juicy, messy Chipotle worthy burrito of adventure, monster cock angel sex and stunning visuals. My only quibble is it sometimes became overly explanatory with regard to emotions or motivations.

The last 40% I was pretty much talking to my kindle as though it were the author saying things like, "no no nononononono... don't YOU do it!... you're not doing this to me again, are you? ohhhhh shiiit... you've done it to me again. DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!" like I do. There are losses, new characters, copious bloodshed, torture, some feels, tons of swords and daggers and a whole heap of thrills with some skin crawling creatures. Annnnnddd a cliffhanger. Or, at least, it better be a cliffhanger because I will cut someone otherwise.

I'm proud to say #TeamPain continues to maintain a solid lead. Gotta love that Kid. He's like my closer! #TeamLube, see you in round three.

REVIEWED FOR SINFULLY GAY ROMANCE BOOK REVIEWS

OMG! I love, love, LOVE this series. The sort of HUGE cock, no lube, irreverent love that actually makes my heart do a bit of a pitter pat just thinking about starting each new episode in this epic, back to front saga of Good V Evil. Why? Because I think Devon McCormack is a wicked, genius storyteller and because each time I've dipped into his totally fucked up world of Higherlings and fallen Angels, warring because of a stupid lovers spat between The Almighty and Satan, I've come away thinking, "THIS is why I read and THIS is what I read for!"

Both books in the series have excited and thrilled me in ways I remember experiencing when I first discovered the joys and magic of books as a kid. I always leant more to the fantastical and outlandish than 'real life' and loved the feeling of visiting out of this world places where I could be out of this world too. Imagination is an amazing tool and for me books are the best place to exercise it. Engaging every emotion when you totally connect, and ultimately escaping the mundanity of everyday life for a few precious hours.

Through books I've got to fly, do magic, fight epic battles, travel to the stars, go to countries I'll probably never have the chance to visit and been swept of my feet by the sort of guys I'd normally only ever get to drool over in my dreams. The list is endless. Now with Devon, I get to join the battle to save humanity whilst wielding a dong the size and width of a python on steroids... and all without a single drop of the slippy stuff! How cool is that?!? Hahaha...

But seriously, even though this might not be everyone's cup of tea (for reasons I'm now sure most people will have concluded) it's become one of my most favourite reads in this genre since I first discovered it. Taking away the controversial religious aspect, over the top sexual shenanigans and larger than life physical attributes of its protagonists; for me, this vibrant, visual, gripping, edge of the seat, inventive journey into contemporary urban fantasy is just a great pacy, action-adventure tale that ticks all my boxes and then some!

Dark, exciting, gory, innovative, violent and at times shocking in more ways than one, there’s a slightly different feel to this instalment. It’s still over the top, sometimes caricaturish in its full on, graphic, pull no punches portrayal of these supernatural, kick ass beings; and butt clenching in it's hellfire hot sexual encounters, that have you wincing and pondering the dynamics of how humongous instrument A can slot in much smaller orifice B without causing major internal damage and a trip to emergency! But this time, even though the relationships and love stories are still a major aspect of the books driving force, there’s also a strong focus on what’s brewing in the background. The action is hotting up and it’s gripping stuff.

Once again nothing is what it seems, not everybody is who you think they are and the word preconception doesn't get a look in, because you just can't have any in this! You think you know how the tide is turning and which direction it's moving, but oooh noooo. Mr McCormack laughs in the face of assumption and gives it the finger. Talk about being kept on the edge of your seat!!!!

Separated for most of the book, each character gets his/her own alternating chapter, or slightly longer section, each ending in its own little WTF! cliffhanger. Leaving you waiting anxiously to see how they survive their crises; eagerly anticipating what comes next! It's unputdownable, sneaky storytelling at its best that keeps you totally enthralled. Clever Devon!

Bound follows on pretty much where Clipped left off—give or take a few months or so—and without going into realms of blah, blah blurby stuff; each one of our intrepid anti heroes ends up once again going through a fuck load of hell–literally in some cases *shivers*—as the über bad guys continue their nasty ass plot to bring the apocalypse down on the human world. Treycore, Kinzer, Maggie and Kid all have personal demons to face up to in this, of both the solid (Grrrr...VERA!!!) and mental kind, and emotionally there were moments that got me in the gut to the point where I felt really moved. Then a new character Hayde, another breed of lesser Angel or 'Flit', is brought into the mix and the book turns yet another corner, taking on even more dimension, direction and depth. I could wax on forever about him and Kinzer, but all I'm going to say is I LOVED Hayde, and THEN that OMG!!! ending again! Damn! I need book three...like yesterday!

Review at
 photo Potential-OTDU-Banner-9-Smaller2_zpsf0878d67.png

Bound is slightly more action, slightly less sex than Clipped. Not much different, but a slightly different ratio. Oh, it's still there, and team pain is winning that fight. It's most definitely erotica but the fantasy elements have ramped up somewhat. There's a lot of action, a lot of different beings, all within the Almighty's social/hierarchical structure. It progresses the story and characters from Clipped with characters such as Maggie shining through, and the romance aspect of Treycore and Kid is ramped up. New characters are introduced, I did love Hayde. This is a fantasy/paranormal read with an OTT action movie-esque quality throughout... with a touch of The Seventh Sign.

Bound's subtext does cover vanity, social structures, our flawed attitudes towards ourselves and others - judgement, self-doubt, that paradise is not always what it's cracked up to be, that physical beauty can be overrated. And, of course, there's a look at religion from the flipped-Clipped angle. Let's not forget the sword fights, tentacles in places they shouldn't be, slimers, violence, powerful (and crazy) women, big dicks, notions of love - in various forms - and betrayal. Who the freaking heck can you trust? Will a couple of characters get over themselves? Please! It all adds up to another rollicking fun and kinky Clipped series read - with some added depth. Bring on book #3.

I thoroughly enjoy this series but, like Clipped, Bound won't be for everyone

4.5 stars, rounded up.

This review contains a few things that might be considered spoilerish. Keep that in mind before reading.

I've been waiting on this book since I read Clipped. I wasn't disappointed. I will say this to the author - we need book #3 - like now. Just sayin'.

Bound starts off shortly after Clipped ended. I'm not going to rehash my review of that book (you can find it here), but I will say you're able to jump right into the story without a problem.

Before I get to my review -

There is a warning at the top of the blurb for a reason. Take note of it. This book has bloody sword play, breath play, a brief scene involving tentacles, graphic violence, religious themes that may offend, possible rape triggers, man on man sex without lube, and the list goes on and on. Don't read this if you're offended by any of these things. Really. Don't.

All of the players from Clipped are back in all their glory, including Maggie, Kinzer, Treycore, (my fave) Kid, and all the bad guys from before (Veylo, Vera, among others... even Jerry makes an appearance). New characters are also introduced who are integral to the story. One of those new characters is Hayde. Hayde is a flit.

Flits were the second generation of higherlings....

They were simple creations. Poor creations. Pitied creations.

I fell in love with Hayde. He gave me dozens of reasons to hate him, but I couldn't. Others might not feel the same, but he's a new fave for me.

I'll come back to Hayde.

There are several stories going on at once in Bound. If you read the first book in the series you won't be confused. If you haven't, you might be.

We have Treycore, who is looking for the mortal he has fallen in love with, Kid. This has him hooking up (not that way) with his former lover, a former Council member named Eilee. Eilee is... odd, to say the least. She didn't take too kindly way back when when Treycore dumped her for the bitchy (and psychotic) Vera. While I suppose that Vera wasn't always this way (the author explains her past well), this is the Vera we all know and hate. Vera has taken Kid to Hell and Treycore knows that he can't get there without Eilee's help, as she's been there before and knows the way.

Can you imagine how that initial meeting goes down? When Treycore is asking his former lover to take him to the woman he left her for to - wait for it - rescue the man she's holding hostage who he's now in love with? It was priceless. I assure you that it does, in fact, make sense when you read the book. Eilee grudgingly agrees to help him and together they embark on a journey to rescue Kid. Of course Eilee has her own agenda (and Treycore suspects this going in), but Treycore will do anything in his power to rescue the man he loves.

 photo Bound 2nd Quote Angel_zpsx68kero1.jpg

Then we have Kinzer and Maggie. Kinzer is still devastated by the betrayal of who he had thought was his one true love. Maggie gave birth to a very special baby in Clipped and that baby has been taken. Kinzer and Maggie become close friends as they search for the baby. While on the search, there's another disappearance and this is where good old Hayde comes in. Hayde is a mystery. One minute he comes across as this horrible bad guy and the next, he's showing a softer side. There's not a lot of trust (if any) between Kinzer and Hayde (their kinds are considered enemies, after all), but damn, that doesn't keep them from tearing it up in the bedroom, on the heater, against the wall... the list goes on. *grin*

photo Bound 1st Quote Kinzer and Hayde Kissing_zpsfvico3in.gif

The reader will wonder where Hayde's loyalties lie from the minute he's introduced.

On top of everything else going on (painful sex, a meeting with, um, tentacles that go where no tentacles should be going, crazy violence that will make you cringe... etc.), there is the impending war between Heaven and Hell. While Treycore is battling beings in Hell to find his love, and Kinzer is searching for the baby (who is not just any baby), and Maggie is battling her own demons, there are others who are working to try to destroy the world as we know it.

There's a hell of a lot more to the story than that, but my review is long enough and I don't want to give anything away.

It's no secret that I'm a fan of this author and the characters in this series. While reading this I added a lot of sappy and sweet quotes from Treycore on here. While his and Kid's story will make you go "Aww..." more than once, don't take that to mean that this is a sappy romance. The romance is there (and it is sweet), but I probably touched on that more than I should have in my updates with everything else going on in the story. There is a lot of graphic violence in this book. Not necessarily gratuitous violence, but violence just the same. Throw in the painful sexual situations without lube and this book is one hell of a ride.

Once again Devon McCormack has written a great story. Just when you think things are starting to settle a bit, the author throws you for another loop. That makes for a good book in my opinion.

I ended this eager to jump into #3 in the series *sends author the evil eye*. You may think you'll know how this is going to end, but I assure you that you'll be wrong.

Great book and highly recommended if you are looking for something outside of the norm. I promise you that Bound would never be considered part of the norm. Of course I mean that in the best kind of way. ;)

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

This book is another mad ride between Heaven and Hell that had more ups and downs than I knew what to do with and then left me teetering on the edge at the end waiting for the next instalment.

Almost everything you know is the wrong way round in this story. If you are looking for dark with a HEA and not too much violence you are definitely in the wrong place. I’m not one that squirms easily but the whole nose scene with Hayde….OMG!

This picks up not too far on from Clipped and Treycore is going out of his mind looking for Kid. As a last resort he seeks out an old lover Eilee and this female angel is how I like my women to be written. She may still be in love with Treycore but she wouldn’t think twice about hacking his balls off if it was to her benefit. After an uncomfortable reunion they set off into Hell to face Vera and save Kid but it’s no easy task and their trip involves tentacles.

Kinzer is on his own mission to find Veylo and Janka two men who still leave his heart sore. His mission alongside Maggie is to find the Christ and destroy him. This is where we are introduced to Hayde, a Flit, whose intentions and actions change the most throughout the book and who I grew to have a big soft spot for. Welcome back to the violent sex, in fact with Kinzer and Hayde welcome back to the violent everything! They do not have a healthy relationship but they do have a very strong connection to each other.

This book races. It races towards the end and with all the violence and pain you just know the answers are not going to be there for you. We almost go full circle and when I figured out what Hayde was about to do I wanted to slam on the imaginary brakes. Will these guys ever get a break?

Now to wait………

Not as packed with sex as Clipped, but with a higher quota of action, Bound is still the Devon McCormack we all learned to love.

In this second installment, two storylines collide: We’ve got a devastated Kinzer who doesn’t believe he’ll ever find love again, and the mortal Maggie. They team up on the hunt for the Christ and meet the questionable Hayde. Kinzer discovers that maybe all hope is not lost.

Also, Treycore is on his quest to save Kid who, as we remember, was kidnapped and sent to the bowels of hell, courtesy of Vera, Trey’s ex-girlfriend. He finds an unusual ally, Eilee, a beautiful angel and yet another one of Treycore’s exes. Together, they descend into hell and battle God’s earlier creations to get to Kid and save him from Vera’s clutches.

Before I start, I will clarify that I’m already pressuring Mr. McCormack to publish the third installment. Sooner than as soon as possible.

“Love isn’t about forcing someone to be with you. It’s about being with them because you want to be, because it’s the only way you can keep on.”

Phew…what a roller coaster ride this one was. I cannot wait to see how this all comes to closure and will continue to hound our dear Devon until I get my hands on a copy.

While the moments with Kid tore at my heart, it was once again our dear Trey that emotionally tore me up.

“I don’t think it’s something I can explain. I just… from the moment I first met you… from our first encounter… there was something about you. At first, it made me furious… it made me hate you, because it was so strong. But in the brief interaction we shared, I saw something in you—something that was the reason I came to defend humanity to begin with. Something mystical. Something I’ve never seen in any creature before.”

Gaaaahhh…so love him.

And then there is Kinzer…he will continue to just break my heart, I am certain of it.

What horrible curse made this always happen to him? Was he so trusting that he let in these twisted, most heinous of characters?

But honestly it was some of the other characters that made this book even better for me…

Eilee…such a fascinating character and brought forth quite a different dynamic with Trey than we have seen before. I loved seeing a bit of their history while also seeing the love that Trey holds for Kid.

Maggie…I grew to love that crazy ass woman more with every page. Her moments were not only disturbing but rather gut wrenching as well.

Vera…still the biggest bitch in the land, there is no doubt.

But no one topped Hayde. I WANT HIM!!!! HE’S MINE. MINE. MINE.

I will say the only thing that kept this from being a 5 star book for me was the number of fight scenes…my heavens…I think even Jason Bourne would have been exhausted.

While we got some emotional moments and tender *giggles* lubeless sex, I needed more of these moments. I eagerly await the conclusion as this is one series that will remain at the top of the stack for me.

Pretty much the same feelings as the first book.

Weird. Twisted... Original... Wanted to DNF more than once at the beginning but couldn't put the book down...

description

I felt there were a lot more feelings in this one though.
A lot more talk about love instead of just plain fucking and wild lust!

But I thought it was the last book of the series and given this book has been released since 2015, I wonder if Devon McCormack plan on releasing book 3 and if so when??

Anyway... Always love to be surprise and it certainly did the trick so....

I got a phone call from a friend I had recommended Clipped to. She was all excited and did I hear Bound was coming out and you are going to read it right?! I told her of course i was going to if nothing else to find out if the located any lube (Inside joke). But seriously, I couldn't wait to step back into this world to see what the heck was going to happen next. Oh my! Quite a lot!

Kinzer have hooked up together (No not that way!) and are on the search for the Christ. Still seems weird to think of that entity that way. I eventually ended up singing another tune. Zips lips! On their way to gather more info Veylo snatches Maggie and now Kinzer is trying to find Maggie and the Christ before the world is destroyed. Along the way Kinzer encounters Hayde which gives us some of the biggest mind f**ks as well as the hottest sex moments. It also showed sides off Kinzer that both had my heart hurting as well as gagging. Yikes!

In the other half of the story, Treycore's on the hunt for Kid who's been kidnapped by Treycore's sadistic ex, Vera. Along the way he gets help from another ex, Eilee, who not only is a wee bit (UNDERSTATEMENT!) narcissistic but seems to also be a bit off her rocker. Hmmm...two ex-girlfriends for Treycore and here I thought he batted for just the other side. The journey Treycore and Eilee take has this strange LSD trippy feeling as they travel through hell. Don't even get me started on how freaky the inappropriate tentacle thingy was. I will never look at a octopus the same way again. GAH!

As twisted as Bound was, I freaking LOVED IT! This time around there is less sex and more intense mind games. Now don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of sex, some of it being non-con (Consider yourself warned!). HOWEVER, there's less dropping trough random acts of lubeless sex and more meaningful moments. As for the lubelessness that drove me bonkers, and had me cringing, there is still plenty of it except for maybe one brief moment of thinking ahead.* Zips lips again and smiles evilly* As for those intense mind games, most are brought on by Hayde and Veylo. Those two kept me guessing the whole way though until the very end that is until once again I notice I’m at 95%, and there's still a lot that needs to happen. And I have a craptastic moment when I realize unless a miracle happens there is going to need to be another book. Great, just great. More waiting…

Devon McCormack has done it again with Bound. He has sucked me in to this rabbit hole story that spins all my good/bad theories on its axes. A word of warning: Bound is not a book that can be read out of order nor as a stand-alone. There is too much that has already occurred and without knowing Kinzer, Treycore, Kid and Maggie before, then most of what they are going through will not make sense. Am I cheering for the good side or bad I no longer know. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter anymore because I am thoroughly vested and am feening for the next book

I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

OH MY GOD.....I don't even know where to start with this review....Devon never stops amazing me with his books...with where his words take us.....Bound is book two and I think it's even better than Clipped...How on earth can it be better when Clipped was amazing......Kinzer and Maggie searching for Veylo and The Christ, they get a new addition Hayde.....I couldn't decide if I loved or hated Hayde......I think i'll err on the side of love although he was annoying sometimes and wasn't completely good....Treycore oh sweet Trey.....He sets off to find Kid and has the help of an old lover Eilee who I loved....She was pretty cool.....The way Devon describes his world is stunningly amazing.....You can actually follow everything and picture everything quite easily....Even in the ouchy moments....Dare I say Tentacles/swords/no lube/gory/oh and fingers....can't forget fingers...ouch.....Devon is the master of hardcore books.....He takes you deep into his mind and oh boy what a mind.....I have loved catching up with all these characters and can't wait for the third book....I certainly think this series will be in my top five books of this year x

When I read a romance, a story filled with love and happiness - I write my review the second I finish it so I can capture my emotions within that review. A book like this? Needs time to process, time to digest, time to think. I need to choose my words wisely because I don’t want to scare anyone away. This book was good, really good, filled with with so many moving and inter-changing parts that at times you feel breathless, like you’re the one wielding that heavy sword, you’re the one fighting for your life, you’re the one with everything on the line. My advice? Take a deep breath, challenge yourself. Push yourself farther than you ever thought you could. When you reach that end, that last page, it’ll all be worth it.

Entertaining read. Lots of betrayal and violence. Lots of sex and violence. The story seems a little all over the place, and there's a lot of back and forth between storylines. But the premise is interesting.

Maggie is by leaps and bounds my favorite character in these books.

And the saga continues. Man. Some screwed up immortals with too high opinions of themselves as they try to one up each other to be the best. The plot is getting very interesting as betrayals come out of the woodwork. No one knows who can be trusted anymore. And each side races to complete their tasks.

The crazy adventure continues in Clipped Saga book II and its better than ever!
If I need to describe this book it will be a blend of parody, hardcore porn, sadism, fantasy and deep symbolism. It’s a strange mix, I'll tell you that, but an addicting one that will keep you on your toes. The sex is insane and graphic, the action bloody and intense, but the emotions are the true stars in this bizarre fantastical world Devon created.
I was anxiously waiting for Kid and Treycorne's story to continue and the new characters that plot line introduced were interesting and unique. The world expands and is so detailed and coherent even though it might seem like this book have not rhyme and reason, Devon hss constructed a functioning believable fantasy realms, creatures and monsters. Kinzer is a great character, flawed in an appealing way, human in spite of his un-human origins. Hayde was also a great edition to the cast and I am looking for book three for the final showdown!

What I really liked about this book, as a continuation of the first, is the plot line of Maggie and the Christ, it reminded me of Polansky's "Rosemary's baby" with its religious symbolism and the conflict on motherhood, when a mother is aware her child is evil but cannot help but love him regardless.
“Love isn’t about forcing someone to be with you. It’s about being with them because you want to be, because it’s the only way you can keep on.” That was a real moment in the midst of all the crazy angels, magical high inducing babies and slimy disgusting sexually deviant monsters it touched my heart. This book has hidden depths, if you are brave enough to survive the madness.

So much action! So many characters getting KO'd. But the ending? So effed up! I did learn a lot during the adventures of our heroes tho. Do not trust ANYTHING with tentacles or vines growing out of it. Babies are even scarier than I thought they were before I read this, btw, this is my new go to description when anyone asks why my husband and I don't plan on procreating. Everything is so messed up and I'm going crazy to find out what's gonna happen! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this and talked to a few nurses and techs about it while painkillers were deposited throughout my body so hopefully I did it justice and they'll pick it up! Or I scared them and they hope to never see the crazy chick from room ten again.

Bound (The Clipped Saga #2) by Devon McCormack
4 stars
M/M Paranormal
Triggers: Extreme sex (blood involved), tentacles, breath play, sadistic sword sex (just a little) and it's fairly violent.
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

This second installment has more action involved - more mystery and the characters seem to be more involved with the plot of finding the secret weapon - trying to defend the world. While it's not that much different than the first book, there is still hot, winged, forceful sex, but the characters seem to develop more of a relationship - you get to see their reasons behind their actions.

The characters think more in this story - it's more dialogue and more figuring out how to save the world. I will admit that despite my reservations from the first story, this one did keep my attention a little more because there seems to be many more story lines going on. Finding a love, developing relationship, searching for a child, hiding from the enemy - all of these intermingle throughout and create this almost epic story.

Overall, I enjoyed this story a little more than the first and it definitely left me wanting to know what happens next, but I was also disappointed too - and still, at certain points of the story was trying to figure out who was who, their past relationships and how everything and everyone fit together.

This serie just keeps getting better and better. I would still classify it as a dark erotic read. But I have to say that I am really loving the series.

There is so many twist and turns that you do not know what is coming from one paragraph to the next. Then there are more and mor surprises every time you turn around. Devon McCormack definitely knows how to bring mystery, intrigue, and suspense to his books

This book in particular has ex's that are out for revenge, evil beings turning against there bosses, enemies becoming lovers, friends that fight a good fight but do not survive, those that we thought could not possibly make it out alive being rescued by the one they love, and those that should never become allies becoming so much more.

With each page you think you finally have it figured out only to be thrown for another loop and discover that things are not what they seem to be and neither are the people.

Such a fascinating read that I could not put it down and I cannot wait for the next book in series. So please hurry with the next book Devon cause I am curious to see what happens next and what you come up with.

“Clipped: Bound” is the second entry in Devon McCormack’s “The Clipped Saga.” While the book had some interesting moments, this reviewer felt lost much of the time. This is not due to McCormack’s writing, but the reviewer’s lack of knowledge regarding the first book. This is a series where one cannot just jump in, and that is ok.

This series flips traditional Christian mythology on its head. There is no benevolent God/Creator in this world; instead, God is intent on destroying is creation after being spurned by his former lover. The book is not for the squeamish. There is violent, brutal sex. Some of it was beyond gruesome.

To be fair to the book, the reviewer is rating is as a Goodreads 3 – I liked it. The reviewer will go back after reading other books for review to read the first book in this series. Hopefully, with the knowledge of the first book, the rating for this book can be more accurately conveyed.

Kindly provided with an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review......

The Sequel to clipped. It follow's the story of Kinzer & his new beau Hayde and Treycore & his lover Kid. Plus some female hotties thrown in to help ;0) . Still a great take on Angel's and Demon's.

It still not for the faint hearted !!!. I can truly say that this book has it ALL going on !!! Vengeful ex's, enslaving, still LOTS of HOT M/M romance. You are on the edge of your seat for this ride !!!

Again a HUGE well done Devon for another first class read !!. Many thanks for this opportunity xx

Later peeps xx

ARC received from NetGalley for an honest review.

I received this book and I hadn't read the first book in the series/saga. I started reading it and felt compelled to start with book 1. Both were FANTASTIC!

But let me keep this review on this book. It was one of the best books I have read in a while. I stayed up all night reading it after I read the first book throughout the day. I can only reiterate what everyone else is saying. It is hot, it is a must read, it is a one-click book. This will go on my favorites shelf! READ IT!

There is so much stuff going on in this read. So much good stuff!! Kinzer is so sweet even in his pursuit for what is right. I just don't understand how Janka can think he's right in all of his thinking. Maggie tries to help where able. Treycore is madly in love with Kid! So much good drama..what is next in this world? There has to be some downtime for good things to happen...right? I mean a little sense of both normalcy and really good times.

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review.
