Homer Alaska has always been home to Raelyn. It's always been the perfect, quiet, small town she's lived in her entire life with her grandma Gigi since the death of her parents when she was ten. Living above and running the local bookshop, The Book Vault has always been her dream and everything she's ever wanted. Well almost everything. If only Warren, one of her best friends since she was twelve, would realize how much he loves her and profess said love, everything would be perfect. Unfortunately, it's been Warren's dream to leave Homer as soon as possible, and now that his boat is complete that time looms in the near future.
Preparing for his long-awaited departure from the tiny town he loathes, Warren is finally ready to leave Homer. What he doesn't plan for is his best friend (and the object of his suppressed inner desires and star of his unattainable fantasies) to confess her love for him with a body hardening kiss, followed by nights filled with secret rendezvous. Even after giving into his buried feelings for her, he can't let a few nights of lust stop him from leaving the town filled with so many bad memories.
But months after leaving the girl of his dreams he discovers he may have left more in Homer than just his heart. Returning to claim what is his, he must prove himself the reliable man she'll need to help care for the unexpected bundle of joy they created. Can pure determination alone help him move beyond his past and look to the future? Or will it push him away like it did before?

This was such a cute romance story. I am nearly obsessed. I’ve been wanting to try out this author’s books because I love the covers and decided to try to get an ARC, I was lucky enough to get one!

Warren has been dreaming of the day till he can leave his hometown Homer, Alaska since he was a teenager. He worked hard to buy a boat, worked on it for years, and is about to set sail and never look back.

Raelyn loves her home. Loves her life. And loves her best friends. She has always secretly wanted Warren, but New that he wanted to leave Alaska for good so she never took the chance to make a move until the week that he was supposed to set sale. She decided to shoot her shot with her best friend.. and it worked.

Nicknamed Bambi by Warren, Raelyn finally got to know what it’s like to be with Warren and spent his last few days in Alaska together. But he still decided to set sail and leave.

This story was so good. Just enough angst to make the storyline meaningful and beautiful. As someone who is also pregnant, I can so relate with Bambi even though I’m on my fifth pregnancy. Lol Her cravings were absolutely hilarious.

Warren is a sexy, witty, loyal book-boyfriend. I absolutely adored him and his love for his Bambi.

ARC Review: Thank you to Rebecca Rennick for sending me a copy to read and review

Don’t let the cute cover fool you, this book was SPICY! Warren is the town bad boy who wants nothing more than to leave Homer, Alaska, in the dust. Warren enjoys rope play, and there aren’t many people in his small town he feels comfortable exploring that kink with. That is, until his best friend Raelyn kisses him the week he’s set to leave, and they spend the week tied up together. Warren is so swoon-worthy. He was obsessed with Raelyn before, but he’s even more obsessed with her while she’s pregnant.

Raelyn is the town good girl. She runs the local bookstore. She has always been in love with Warren. She confesses his feelings for him because she knows she won’t be able to live with herself if he leaves without knowing how she feels. A surprise pregnancy brings Warren back to Homer, and he’s doing everything he can to prove to Raelyn that he came back for the right reasons and that he’s back for good. This book was sweet, heartwarming, and everything you want in a surprise pregnancy romance.

Spice:🌶️🌶️

If you’re looking for a small town, bad boy X good girl, friends to lovers, accidental pregnancy, filled with spice, interesting characters, and a found family you’ll love than Tied Up in Knots is definitely a book that should go on your must buy list!

Raelyn and Warren have been best friends for years… best friends who have always longed for more but been to afraid to act. Except now Warren is finally making his dream of leaving their small town behind for good, and Raelyn refuses to regret never telling Warren just exactly how she feels! Only to realize they’ve both been ridiculously dancing around one another and now it might just be too late… except fate has a funny way of finding a way for things to work out. And fate may have found a way to show Raelyn just how strong she is and Warren exactly what he truly needs.

Thanks so much for an ARC! The perfect combination for a sweet and spicy romance book! I love how the author balances traumas and trials and the added hope of what can come after. Trope spoilers: I was a little nervous with suprise accidental pregnancy trope because it’s one of my least favorite but it wasn’t too bad merged with the second chance romance and friends to lovers trope. My biggest annoyance with that trope is usually it’s the main reason the relationship continued but the author did a great job of having the second chance begin mentally for the characters before the pregnancy was known!

I’m beyond thrilled to share my thoughts on Tied Up in Knots by Rebecca Rennick. As a first time reader of this author, I’ve always wanted to dive into her books, but never had the chance until now. What a way to start my journey with her writing! I'm so grateful to have been selected as an ARC reader for this one, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was everything I didn’t know I needed!

I’ll admit, friends to lovers isn’t always my go to trope, but this book may have just changed that for me. The slow burn between Raelyn and Warren was so captivating, and the emotional tension built up in such a satisfying way. I loved seeing their dynamic evolve, and the sweet nickname Warren gives Raelyn, Bambi, just melted my heart. There’s something special about their connection that made me root for them even more. Especially when Warren realizes his true feelings for Raelyn.

What really made this story stand out to me was how Warren’s priorities shift throughout the book. When he leaves Homer, he believes it’s the only way to find happiness, but he soon realizes that what truly makes him happy is Raelyn and the life they could build together. He makes sacrifices to ensure he can provide a better future for them, proving that love is about more than just feelings it’s about action and commitment.

I also couldn’t stop smiling at Raelyn’s pregnancy cravings! A bacon cheeseburger with maple syrup, peanuts, and pickles on the side? While I didn’t have any weird cravings when I was pregnant (kind of disappointing, honestly!), reading about hers made me laugh and added such a fun and relatable touch to the story.

Another element of the story that really resonated with me was the shibari, a type of Japanese rope bondage, woven into their intimate moments. I’ve always been intrigued by it, and I was impressed with how respectfully and carefully it was portrayed. It added an extra layer to their physical connection, making the romance feel even more intense and nuanced.

The journey these characters take is emotional and raw, with moments of frustration, passion, and ultimate redemption. Warren’s character growth, in particular, felt so real. It’s one of those stories where you can’t help but root for the characters, even when they make mistakes or push each other away. It’s about healing from the past, taking responsibility, and finding a future together despite the obstacles.

Rebecca Rennick’s writing has definitely earned a spot on my must read list from now on. I can’t wait to dive into more of her work. If you’re a fan of small town romance, friends to lovers, and a slow burn with an emotional payoff, this one is definitely for you!

Raelyn has secretly been in love with her best friend Warren for years. When Warren plans to leave their hometown with no plans of coming back, Raelyn takes a chance and expresses her feelings for him. When both admit their long-time feelings, they give in and spend a few nights together, knowing Warren still intends to leave. Things get a bit complicated when Raelyn’s pregnancy test comes back positive five weeks after Warren left…

I’m don’t usually reach for books with the accidental pregnancy trope, but I knew I would love it because Rebecca Rennick wrote it - and I was 100% right. She never fails to make me fall in love with her books and characters.

Rae was a book-loving girlie after my own heart. She’s so kind and considerate of others, even when being so could seriously impact her and her life. Also her pregnancy cravings were hilarious - I just have to know how on earth these combos came to mind. 😂

Warren was such a sweetheart. Everything he does for Rae had me absolutely melting. Don’t even get me started on his response to finding out Rae was pregnant. Ugh my heart. This man was the perfect book boyfriend.

I swear, Rebecca Rennick has some of the best side characters out there. I absolutely adore Izzy, Grandma Gigi, and Owen. Even just the tiniest snippets of them had me grinning. I loved their unwavering support of Rae and Warren, both together and separately.

If you need any more reason to pick up this book, just know Izzy’s first reaction to Rae asking for help, no questions asked was, “does it require a tarp?”

Thank you so much to Rebecca Rennick for the opportunity to ARC read this book. All thoughts are my own. 🩵

I loved this book so much! I have read every book in this series of stand alones (not interconnected) and while this isn't my favorite book of the series I still had a really good time reading it! Rebecca has an amazing way with words that can even take a trope I normally don't love and make me fall in love. Raelyn and Warren were everything to me. They had this amazing chemistry. I normally don't like friends to lovers stories but this book is an exception. This is a style of friends to lovers where both have been pining after each other but they both know that they have different goals in life so it will never work out.

Raelyn loves her small town of Homer, Alaska and is happy there. Warren on the other hand has a lot of trauma associated with the town and has lived his life with the sole purpose of getting out of the small town. The week before he leaves forever, his best friend Raelyn, decides she has to finally shoot her shot with the man she has been in love with since she was young. Warren has always wanted this to happen, but he still needs to leave. Together they realize a week together before Warren leaves is better than nothing. What isn't planned is Raelyn finding out she is pregnant after Warren leaves.

This book was like a warm hug of healing. It was wonderfully written and I couldn't put this book down. It was messy and real and I just fell in love with these characters and this small town.

Thank you to Rebecca Rennick for the advanced reader copy!

Tied up in Knots is the latest edition in the Gummy Bear Orgy series and the way Rebecca was able to get me to read the pregnancy trope is unfair. The tension between them while they longed for each other was so good. If you're looking for a best friends to lovers story this is definitely one to check out.

Warren has had a troubled past, suffering from an abusive home *check your trigger warnings* He has longed to get away from Homer, Alaska and never look back, he works hard, bought a boat and has been fixing it up to go on a lifetime sailing adventure. On the opposite side, his best friend Raelyn loves Homer, she loves her life and all her best friends. But secretly, she's been in love with and always wanted Warren. The week of his leaving has come, and thinking he was about to go and never come back she finally is willing to shoot her shot. So on a leap of faith after his going away party, she took it, and it worked. Raelyn (Bambi to Warren) has finally learned what it's like to be with Warren but it all gets burned when he begs her to leave with him and she refuses. Little did either of them know that, that adventure was only the beginning, a baby is on the way and Raelyn is set to go it alone.

The way Warren was so head over heels for Raelyn the entire time was the sweetest thing ever. He's loyal, he's witty, he's sexy, he knows Shibari, and the way he cares for Raelyn while she's pregnant fighting for her to realize he's always, and I mean always, LOVED her.

Rebecca easily writes sweet, heart warming, romance novels in pretty much any genre at this point with characters you will always root for, spiciness that is top tier and just enough angst. Not to mention the side characters. You won't just love the leading couple, she has the most hilarious and lovely supporting characters in all her books.

I can't recommend this book or Rebecca enough, you can pick up any of her books and not be disappointed. I always need more from her.

Thank you so much Rebecca Rennick for the e-ARC! All opinions are my own.

I don’t even know where to start with this book. It was so good and this is coming from someone that normally doesn’t like to read books where there is a “surprise” pregnancy in them, but this one was done so well that I wasn’t even mad. I think it helps that it wasn’t really a surprise pregnancy and it was marketed as having one.

With that being said this was definitely one of Rebecca’s more spicy books with her books I’m use to them being slow burns and I guess you can say this one is technically a slow burn because our main characters Rae and Warren have both had feelings for each other since they were 14/15 and they are now 26/27. But when the spice hit I was here for it because it was hot 🥵

I loved the character development in this book and all the support Rae got from the side characters. Rebecca does a really amazing job of making you love not only her main characters but all the side characters that hang around them.

I don’t like giving too much away in my reviews so go read this book it’s definitely worth every penny and time you will spend reading it!

This was sweet, I do enjoy a friends to lovers arc, and I relate to Warren’s need to leave his small town to see the world. I think people were too hard on him for making that choice especially when the man clearly hadn’t had therapy to understand why he needed that.

I don’t love a pregnancy plot, though if it’s done well it can be really sweet. This was fine, but I feel like all the tension and angst was gone very quickly and the story just became boring to me by about 70%.

I have to note though - is bondage and Shibari considered that kinky? It is a bit, but not to the degree of Warren saying people, including Rae, would be disgusted by him. It was a weird thing to say, especially when it never came back again because it was not a conflict at all.

I’m also really disappointed that this was filled with spelling and grammar mistakes. Having just read Just My Luck where I noticed the same I’m not sure how much proofreading or editing Rebecca is doing and that’s such a shame as it really undercuts her work.

This one isn’t my favourite but it might really work for someone else.

I was super excited to jump back into the Gummy Bear Orgy series - this one veers away from the previous books in that the two characters have grown up together but neither has admitted their true feelings about each other until the week before Warren is set to leave their hometown of Homer, Alaska to sail the world. Raelyn figures it's now or never and doesn't want to wonder "what-if" for the rest of her life. Fortunately after a few months, Warren realizes his home is meant to be where Raelyn is and gets a bonus surprise when he returns. Now he has to prove to Raelyn that he's home for good not just for the baby but for her.

It was a super cute M/F romance and I loved all the little things that Warren did to prove to Raelyn that he pays attention and that this isn't just a pit stop before he takes off again. I thought it was well-written and the story flowed really well. I loved that Raelyn had a strong support system and was prepared to do this without a dad in the picture.

Thank you to the author for the advanced readers copy!

Book 4 of Gummy Bear Orgy Series

⚓️Small Town
📚Best Friends to lovers
⚓️Second Chance
📚Surprise Pregnancy
⚓️Shibari

This was an incredibly sweet and cozy romantic comedy. Raelyn, also known as Bambi, and Warren have secretly been obsessed with each other for years. However, Warren yearns to leave his hometown of Homer, Alaska, unable to escape the stigma of his past mistakes and the justified tension with his parents.

Bambi feels frustrated by Warren’s desire for the open sea, believing she is not enough to make him stay. Realizing she cannot live with the uncertainty any longer, she decides to take a chance and kisses her best friend. This leads to some spicy and knotty situations, but Warren can’t abandon his plans despite finally succumbing to his buried feelings for her.

The transition from friends to lovers was heartwarming, and the characters were fantastic. I loved ride-or-die Izzy, goofy Owen, and the tough, all-knowing Gigi! This series is a personal favorite whenever I need a feel-good book or a refreshing change after diving into darker romances.

Let’s be honest—this book had us tied up, tangled, and texting our besties in all caps.

Raelyn and Warren? Two emotionally constipated marshmallows pining for each other across a small town like it’s a slow-burn Olympic sport. We screamed. We squealed. We sobbed into our gummy bears.

And the tension? Babe. You could shibari it.

This is peak friends-to-lovers with a twist of maple-syrup-meets-pickles pregnancy cravings, some spicy rope action done right, and the kind of softboi hero you pretend not to like while naming your future dog after him.

Add in:
✔️ Late-night longing looks
✔️ Vibes that scream "it’s always been you"
✔️ A man who leaves town to "find himself" and realises what he really needed was her
✔️ And one (1) burger order so cursed it deserves its own fan club

Raelyn is the queen of patience, Warren is a delicious hot mess, and together? They're proof that love can be soft, sweaty, and occasionally tied in knots. (Literally.)

Rebecca Rennick, you beautiful menace—you've hooked us. Again.

I loved this book. 🩵🤍⛵️⚓️

I loved Rae and Warren, I loved their support system. And how they came to realize they had loved each other all along.

A friends to lovers, with “the bad boy trope.” Which I don’t quantify Warren by. He did some stuff as a teenager (egging a house, and got in trouble with one particular police officer a lot you’ll see why though)but I don’t think that’s who he really is. He’s a complete dedicated companion to Rae.

Also, as someone who sails I loved that Warren is a sailor and finds peace on the ocean. Rebecca did a wonderful job of researching his boat “Knotty Boy”. Which is important aspect at least to me, that if you’re going to introduce a sailor/ fisherman that you know your stuff. (For me this is important in all books, and I’m glad she did this well).

This book also was a “quick” read for me. I say quick because I couldn’t put it down except when I had to.

I’d definitely recommend this to anyone.

Loved this story at first I wasn’t sure because it’s rocky start but it really turned around! Tied Up in Knots follows best friends Raelyn and Warren. This is a best friends to lovers with an accidental pregnancy thrown in to really get the angst and mutual longing going. I’m beyond here for it!! Warren leaves on a boat adventure after his best fiend tells him that she loves him (definitely wanted to slap a fictional character).. It wasn’t until months later he hears that Raelyn is pregnant, does he rush back. This book had me going through the gauntlet of emotions from me saying give me more to screaming no and smiling harder then I ever thought possible! I loved the characters personalities and how they compliment, each other as a couple. Rebecca always seems to have the best side characters as well I absolutely adore Izzy, Grandma Gigi, and Owen. I’ll be waiting with bated breath for the next book in the series..

This was just.. not it.
Firstly, so many errors and weird uses of underscore _like this_ in a sentence. Not sure if that is intentional or a mistake but surely something that would be picked up by an editor.. right?

The overall plot was okay. I enjoyed the childhood best friends to lovers, Rae taking a chance and being the one to make the first move was great!

Character wise, both the FMC and MMC just fell flat for me. I wish we got to see more interactions with them and some side characters, like their friendship with Izzy and Owen.

I also felt like there are somethings that were mentioned that were never brought up again/resolved. It was mentioned a few times near the beginning that Warren had exchanged sex for money, and I was kinda waiting for this to come out and be a plotpoint but it wasn’t?
This was a disappointing addition to the gummy bear orgy series IMO.

🪢 Tied Up In Knots by @rebeccarennickauthor 🪢

Tied Up In Knots is another installment in the Gummy Bear Orgy series by Rebecca Rennick. I have absolutely loved every single book in this series so I was over the freaking moon that I was gifted this arc!!

'Mine to protect, mine to love, mine to keep.'

I was hooked, no fishing pun intended 😂, from the first page to the last. I literally finished this in less than a day. It hit my kindle and I did not stop reading it!

Let's start with the characters. I adored every single one of them. From Gigi to Izzy but honestly Raelyn and Warren are one of my newest favourite couples, she's also a bookworm! I don't always like the surprise pregnancy trope but this was written so well that I actually enjoyed it so much!!

“You’ve always been enough, Bambi. I was the one who wasn’t worthy."

This book was giving me everything and more. The storyline was well paced and kept me hooked, the character development was interesting and you really routed for them and the spice!! 🔥

Short, sweet and spicy, just how I love my books!! 10000% recommend this so go pre-order right now! Out the 1st of July!

Thank you to the author for the free e-ARC! This is my honest review.

Tied Up in Knots follows best friends Raelyn and Warren. Warren, tired of the small town decided to leave on a boat, but beforehand Raelyn finally tells him how much she loves him... however he still leaves on his boating adventure. It isn't until months later he hears word that Raelyn is pregnant, so he rushes back to the place he never thought he'd stay to be with the girl he's always loved.

I really enjoyed both characters and thought this was a very heartwarming story! I typically don't read accidental pregnancy trope books but I have loved the prior Gummy Bear books and knew I wouldn't be disappointed! Just like prior books, this one gives humor and heart!

If you enjoy second chance romance and best friends to lovers you'll enjoy this story!

This is the second book I have read by Rebecca Rennick, and I was so lucky to be able to receive an arc for this book. This book was such a comforting read for me.

This book follows Rae and Warren's story. They have been friends for years, and both have feelings for the other, but neither one will admit it to the other. Warren is set to leave Alaska to travel and settle down somewhere else, so Rae decides to go all in and put her feelings out there.

This book is a small town romance with best friends. I can't say enough good things about their story. Rae is one of those girls that a lot of people can relate to with her being an introvert and really into books. Warren is the bad guy who turns good mainly from his friends, helping him throughout the years. You really can't go wrong with reading about Warren and Rae. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.

Thank you to Rebecca Rennick for an early copy of Tied up in Knots!

Tied Up in Knots by Rebecca Rennick is the fourth book in the Gummy Bear Orgy series. We meet Raelyn, a quirky bookstore owner, and her best friend Warren, a grumpy fisherman who dreams of leaving their small home town of Homer, Alaska.

Warren is getting ready to leave the small town and all of his trauma behind when the worst thing happens, Raelyn decides to confess her feelings. After a few days of passion, Warren leaves town and Raelyn. Except he leaves Raelyn with a little something extra.

From friends to secret lovers to oops I’m pregnant, this story is full of emotional twists, hilarious moments, and cozy, small-town vibe. Raelyn and Warren’s chemistry is undeniable as they move from friends to “it was always you”.

If you love friends to lovers, found family vibes, and characters who feel like your own friends, this one’s for you. It’s heartfelt, a little chaotic, and totally adorable.

This was such a quick read, under 300 pages! Childhood best friends who have mutually pined for each other, who indulge in a one night stand right before he’s about to leave their small Alaskan town forever. But they don’t expect a very special surprise to come out of their night together.

I loved the nautical connections in this book, all the thoughts about the sea and freedom.

This one was pretty steamy! There are open door scenes within the first few chapters, and once he comes back to town it’s nearly immediate.

Bonus: shibari play 😍💙

“You’re always so good and sweet Bambi. I don’t know why you want me when I’m so broken, but I’ll take any bit of you I can get. Because not having you might very well kill me.”

I am such a fan of Rebecca's Gummy Bear Orgy series and this is another added to the list of loves! Love how Rebecca writes such cute romance stories.

If you love: small town, best friends to lovers, second chance, surprise pregnancy, bad boy mmc x good girl fmc, and shibari then I would recommend this book.

I rate this book 4.5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️

Little synposis-
Tied up in Knots wastes no time diving into the story between Raelyn and Warren- with Warren leaving their small town- vowing never to come back Raelyn takes the plunge and confesses her long time crush for him right before he leaves. Turns out that Warren also had feelings for Raelyn and things heat up between them but when Warren asks for Raelyn to go with him she refuses -not wanting to leave her small town. Warren leaves and Raelyn finds out she is pregnant.

What I love: Warren is top tier MMC- he is caring and so attentive to Raelyn- I could not get enough. He clearly showed how much he cared about her and his baby and took the time and effort to prove himself (definition of: he wanted to he would).

Raelyn was so cute and such a good girl that when she stood up for her man (near the end) I was so proud of her.

Loved Owen, Izzy and Gigi- they were great supports of Raelyn and Warren.

I can't wait for more from Rebecca and I adore her Gummy Bear Orgy Series.

Rebecca does it again!! I could’ve finished this book in a day, I did not want to put this book down. If you’re a fan of a HEA and pregnancy trope with spice this book is for you!!

A small town Alaska romance, filled with lots of character growth, strong friendships, wanderlust, and real lust. The chemistry between Warren and Raelyn is off the charts. A little slow burn effect but for other reasons… and the ending had me kicking my feet and swooning

She gets a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for the on page spice

Tropes:
⚓️surprise pregnancy
⚓️bookish girl x bad boy
⚓️friends to lovers
⚓️bondage & shibari kink 🪢
⚓️second chance(y)
⚓️strong female relationships

Thank you again for allowing me to ARC read this incredible book 💕

You can’t go wrong with a Rebecca Rennick book.

This one was no exception.

I loved all the little subtle hints about the characters and their pasts. How things were going to knot up and then unravel. It was a fun journey through their lives.

They were all close and loved each other Warren and Raelyn the most. These two were meant to be and when they loved they loved hard. It was fun to see them come together and learn not only the few remaining secrets about each other but things about themselves too.

I can’t speak highly enough about this series. If you haven’t given it a read do so you won’t be disappointed!!!!
