Pembroke Hills #3

More than Friends

Rate this book
Jude Kensington is the playboy of Pembroke Hills Country Club and the last person I expected to be living with this summer.

Charming flirt. Billionaire bachelor. And my friend who once kissed me during a night neither of us can remember—or forget. But before things could get complicated, a surprise showed up on his doorstep.

A baby. His baby.

With no clue how to care for an infant and me in search of a place to live, we strike a deal: I’ll help him survive fatherhood, and he’ll give me a place to stay. Temporary. Convenient. Totally platonic.

Except nothing about this arrangement feels simple. Not when I’m rocking his daughter to sleep. Not when I catch him watching me like I’m something he can’t have. And definitely not when I remember exactly how it felt to kiss him.

Falling for Jude was never part of the deal. But the longer we play house, the harder it is to pretend I don’t want to be more than friends…

This was hands down one of the easiest 5 star ratings that I could ever give out! I knew I was going to love Pembroke’s resident flirt. The way that I was foaming at the mouth for Jude and Charlotte's book from book one. And let me tell you something, this book delivered everything I wanted and so much more. But at the same time it was also nothing that I expected. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but this one over exceeded my expectations.

Jude Kensington is such a flirt and we love him for that. He has such a fun, flirtatious and youthful personality. And while you do get that in this book, we also see a very different side of Jude as well. A more vulnerable side. And I have to say, I love his vulnerable side the most. The way that this man captivated my heart with his vulnerability with Charlotte. And the way that Charlotte handled his vulnerability with such care. Can we also talk about how Jude is a legit daddy. And he delivers all of those delicious daddy vibes with his grey sweatpants and slutty little glasses. Dear lord. Someone come pick me up off the floor but I'm a damn puddle.

Honestly, I absolutely adore Kat Singleton and this one is delivering everything that we love about her. We had a fantastic billionaire who is gone for that one woman who steals his heart. We have several chapters that will make you sweat, although this one will make you work for it. With this being a friends to lovers, Jude and Charlotte will fight their attraction and battle with whether or not it is worth ruining the friendship for. But baby, these two do in fact RUIN THE FRIENDSHIP and when I tell you, the scene when they finally cross that line has be bound and gagged on the floor. The way that I was a blushing, giggling school girl kicking my feet the whole time I was reading. Ugh just thinking about it is making me blush. But yeah, this one is THE perfect example for ruining the friendship and becoming MORE THAN (just) FRIENDS! 🫠

Kat, I love you so much. Thank you for delivering another perfect 5 star banger! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

You should most definitely read this book if you like:
- Billionaire Romance
- Friends to Lovers
- Single Daddy
- Forced Proximity
- Roommates to Lovers
- Age Gap

* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Kat Singleton and her team for allowing me the absolute pleasure to read More Than Friends as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.

3.25 ⭐️🎧

So we have: a baby, forced proximity, unresolved feelings…and him in those glasses.

Of course I was going to be entertained.
Was I fully convinced? Not quite.

What Worked For Me
(aka: why I kept pressing play)

This is one of those cases where the audio genuinely elevated the entire experience. The duet narration added so much intimacy to the dialogue and emotional moments, and it kept me engaged even when the story itself started to drift a little.

Jude Kensington’s reformed playboy to soft dad pipeline scratched an itch I didn't know I had. This man really went from “I don’t do commitment” to “I need you… I choose you… I love you” and I was fully here for it.

His growth felt believable in the sense that it was driven by responsibility, fear and finally emotional honesty. And when he finally stopped pretending and stood on his feelings? Yes. Correct. About time.

The domestic intimacy was also doing its job. Living together, taking care of Ava, late nights and quiet moments - this is where the book shines. The “playing house but it feels real” vibe was strong and those small everyday interactions built a cozy, intimate atmosphere that I really enjoyed.

And the chemistry? It was THERE.
Mutual attraction? Loud.
Tension? Present.
Payoff? Delivered.

And finally, I would like to personally thank the slutty glasses arc for its contribution to my reading experience.

What Didn’t Work For Me
(aka: where the delusion stopped working)

The friendship foundation felt underdeveloped.

We’re told they’ve been best friends for a year, but we don’t feel that depth. There aren’t enough shared memories or meaningful moments to really sell why they’re so important to each other.

So when the book leans heavily on “we can’t ruin the friendship”.
I was like: I’m gonna need more evidence of this friendship first.

Because of that, the pining and emotional tension didn’t hit as hard as it should have.

The middle lacked momentum.

They spend about a month mostly isolated, settling into life with Ava and while that builds intimacy, it also limits momentum.

There’s not a lot of external friction or pressure driving the story forward, so things start to feel a little…repetitive.

Which is probably why when conflict does show up, it hits hard…but resolves VERY quickly.

The “playing house” conflict showed up and left just as fast.

When the outside voices finally question whether this is real or just situational, I was like:YES. THIS. LET’S TALK ABOUT IT.

And then it was resolved in what felt like five business minutes.

Like yes, communication is great.
But also…we suffered for 50 chapters just for it to be solved that fast??

The spice? Good…but slightly overextended.

I didn’t mind it but some scenes felt a bit long especially when the emotional foundation underneath wasn’t fully carrying the weight.

Ava (my sweet baby angel) deserved more.

She’s adorable. She adds warmth. She drives the plot.

But she lowkey felt like a plot device with a pacifier

I wanted more moments with her as a presence, not just what she represented for the romance.

Final Thoughts

This was a fun, cozy, emotionally engaging read that had strong audio, great chemistry and a satisfying (if rushed) romantic payoff.

But it didn’t fully deliver on the emotional depth I needed for a higher rating.

I enjoyed the journey. I liked the characters. I believed in the ending.
I just didn’t feel as deeply invested as I wanted to be.

Final Verdict

3.25 ⭐️ - the vibes were there, the audio carried but the emotional core didn’t fully convince me.

Tropes and Vibes:
• friends to lovers
• forced proximity / roommates
• accidental single dad
• “we’re just friends” (liars, all of them)
• mutual pining + denial era
• domestic intimacy / playing house
• found family vibes
• reformed playboy MMC
• emotional suppression to emotional confession
• glasses kink representation

Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️/5

This book just kind of… frustrated me a little.

Not in a “this is terrible” way, but in a way where it really highlighted all the things I personally don’t love in a friends-to-lovers romance.

That said… I did enjoy it. It just ended up being the weakest of the Pembroke Hills books for me.
I don’t just want to play family with you. I want to be your family. I want you and Ava to be mine. I want to figure out life together, and I can’t imagine ever going back to pretending we’re just friends. I want to be more than friends forever with you.”
𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
Jude and Charlotte have been friends for a while, mostly because their best friends (Cal and Lucy - In Good Company) are together, so they’ve always been in the same spaces and naturally grew close. Underneath that friendship though… they’ve both been harbouring feelings. But neither of them wants to risk ruining what they have, especially because avoiding each other isn’t really an option. So they make the very sensible decision to just… stay friends. Until one drunken night changes things... And right as they’re about to deal with the aftermath of that, Jude’s life flips upside down when he finds out he has a baby… and the mother wants nothing to do with it. At the same time, Charlotte needs a place to stay. So they strike a deal. She moves in, helps him navigate fatherhood, and they keep things strictly platonic… obviously.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
This book is basically a snapshot of two people suddenly raising or having a baby together, without the pregnancy journey, and just diving straight into that early stage of figuring things out. And I’ll be honest… right now, given I am trying to have a baby personally, I found that really sweet. But I also know that if I had read this a year ago, when babies were not on my radar, I probably wouldn’t have connected with it nearly as much. So I do think your enjoyment of this book depends a lot on how you feel about baby-centric storylines. On that note though, a lot of the baby plot is all the good parts - there is one or two "she wont stop crying/won't sleep" moments but the rest is just the cute happy "kiss the baby toes" stuff...

Now… onto my biggest issue. This book is exactly why I struggle with friends-to-lovers. Because for me, it never actually feels like friends to lovers… it feels like two people who have already been in love for ages and just refuse to talk about it like actual adults. And that’s exactly what happens here. They both have feelings. ARE SERIOUSLY ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER... They both know something is there. But instead of just having one honest conversation, they tiptoe around it, avoid it, and kind of just… lie to themselves, the people around them and each other. And I get it. Feelings are scary. Ruining a friendship is scary. Especially when your lives are so intertwined. But at some point I was just like… please. just. talk.

That being said, I did like them together. There is something very soft and comforting about their dynamic, especially once the baby comes into the picture. Watching them fall into this almost domestic rhythm, figuring things out together, building this little unit… it was really sweet.

Charlotte is a sweet FMC. She handles Jude’s vulnerability beautifully. She’s gentle, supportive, and fits so naturally into Jude and Ava’s life that it just works. Watching them slowly fall into this little found family dynamic was genuinely one of the sweetest parts of the book.

Jude, however, is the man DADDY of the show. HE is such a flirt and the Banter between him and Char is TO DIE FOR... BUT THEN, seeing him step into fatherhood, navigating the uncertainty of it all and trying to make the best of this situation to give his girls the best life was basically the perfect setup to make you fall head over heels for him. I WAS GONE... grey sweatpants and slutty little glasses... I have no means to resist this combo...

is all the good vibes, loaded with swoony and heated moments you want in a friends to lovers romance. Nobody writes a spicy billionaire romance like Kat. I have been waiting for Jude’s story ever since we met him in In Good Company last year and it did not disappoint. The banter and shameless flirting had me giggling and the tension filled slow burn was maddening! Jude and Charlotte met when Lucy and Cal started dating a year ago, with Jude’s easy flirting Charlotte immediately put him in the friendzone. They became closer in the off season when everyone else was back in the city. After a tough day Charlotte shows up at Jude’s with wine. One bottle turns into three leading to an almost kiss and very heated stares. But, the next day everything changes when a woman shows up with a four month old baby, Jude’s baby. He wants nothing more than to be a good father but feels like he’s already failing when he can’t get her back to sleep the first night. Charlotte and Jude are finding it harder and harder not to be more than friends. They tell themselves that now Jude has Ava, they can’t pursue anything, but that doesn’t last long. Especially when Jude starts wearing his glasses and walking around in grey sweatpants. Their chemistry during the sweet moments will have you swooning and the spicy moment will have you blushing. The balance between the sweet and spicy moments is perfection.

this freaking book was so fucking PERFECT.

Jude and Charlotte’s story is the sort you read in one sitting, because it’s so good that, honestly, you don’t want to put it down.

What can I say about them? They were perfect. They were born to be together. Jude, it’s so OBVIOUS, my love, you, me, Kat, we ALL know you’re head over heels in love with Charlotte; you’re the only one who doesn’t want to see the obvious.
And Charlotte, my darling, let yourself be loved by that perfect man with that perfect, beautiful baby. You deserve it; you deserve all the love you give.

Thank you for writing this story Kat; I can’t wait for the next one.

This was a sweet Friends to Roommates to Lovers. I think it made so much sense that they became friends because of their friends being in a relationship. That happens to many of us in life. And it made sense that even when feelings were growing they might not want risk anything blowing up. Charlotte and Jude care about one another and they are attracted to each other, but it's supposed to end there.

However, as it often happens, who better to become your partner than someone you already know so well and care about deeply? Then when Charlotte needs to move in with Jude when she loses her rented space, things heat up quickly. They try to keep it in the friend zone but that zone is shrinking fast.

But then, a sweet baby girl gets dropped into the mix. Jude discovers he has a daughter, just as his baby mama drops the child off with little explanation. Now there are even higher stakes to the situation.

I LOVE a surprise child trope. Especially when it isn't the heroine who kept the kid a secret. So this was a delight.

I did get a bit exhausted with how much doubting Charlotte did, but overall, this was a very sweet romance.

Narrated by Jason Clarke and Megan Wicks in the duet style. They made this book so fun.

Kat Singleton has done it again! From the very first page, I was hooked.

Charlotte and Jude were made for each other. When Jude started referring to Charlotte and Ava as “his girls”…. Oh my. YES PLEASE! And I’m for sure a sucker for a guy in slutty little glasses. These two were meant to be together and live happily ever after.

The narrators were absolutely perfect for this book! They were so good and made this story even better somehow.

friends x lovers
single dad (surprise baby)

Idk how I feel about this at all.

Jude and Charlotte became friends when she started working at a country club he’s a member of. Of course they finally make a forward step into more the night before Jude gets a baby dropped off on his doorstep. A woman he slept with a year ago (right before meeting Charlotte) got pregnant and had the baby, never telling anyone but when Ava is 4 months old she decides she doesn’t want to try to be a mother any longer since it was never something she wanted.

Jude and Charlotte jump right into playing house. They both internally decide nothing can happen between them cause of Ava. Jude wants to give his all to his daughter and Charlotte doesn’t want anything to mess up the relationship she could have with the baby. She’s living with them since her apartment was rented out for the summer and I will give Jude credit because he tells her multiple times that Ava isn’t her responsibility, he wants her there regardless not just bc she helps with Ava, etc..

I think the timing is what threw me off. The book spans within a month. So he gets a baby and baby gets a new mommy immediately it just was kinda icky. I would have liked it better had there not been that forced proximity and Charlotte didn’t live with them.

Also I wanted to know for sure when the last time he slept with someone was. As we know he’s a manwhore and slept with the baby’s mom a little over a year ago and in one of his pov’s it says it’s been “months and months” but HOW MANY I WANNA KNOW

#Review: *More Than Friends* - Kat Singleton - ARC/ALC [18+]
4.8/5✨
3.5/5🌶️

Charlotte and Jude Kensington have been friends for quite some time. He was the playboy billionaire for whom Charlotte had a huge crush, but kept it well hidden. They never expected to become roommates and it never crossed in their minds that a secret baby might appear in Jude's life. Because of this unique situation and because Charlotte needed a new place to stay, she accepted to live with Jude for a while and give him some help with his newfound baby. But there was a huge tension between them, one which would make them question themselves if it's worth it to blur the lines and not to think anymore about the cute friendship they were having.

I had such a wonderful time with Jude and Charlotte!! I cannot forget about little Ava, Jude's baby, who was extra sweet. They all had so many cute moments together and I loved how panicked Jude was over Ava in the beginning, not knowing too well what to do with a baby. I adoored this side, but I also loved what he and Charlotte had something which they both tried to hide. There was an insane attraction between them, not being able to ignore it too much time, especially because of their close proximity. It was something raw, full of desire and maybe love? It was so nice to see them discover each other and to see how things started to shift between them.

I loooved that I had the chance to also listen to this book, because Jason Clarke and Megan Wicks have done such an incredible job with bringing these characters to life!! I simply adoored everything about them, being super sweet, fun and also really hot! It definitely made me enjoy this book so much more, liking the way they made me feel while I was listening to this story.

Thank youu so much Kat and team for allowing me to read and listen to this early copy of "More Than Friends"!! I looved it so much, becoming one of my favorite stories by Kat.

Of course it was going to be my favorite of the three, along with a surprise baby, a friends to lovers romance (I don't care what everyone says, I'll always prefer them to enemies), and two absolutely adorable sunshine characters. I really needed this book 🥹

Jude has been my favorite character since the first book and his story didn't disappoint. He's that blond golden retriever man, that present friend who loves to flirt and receive compliments. But his life is turned upside down when he learns he has a little girl, Ava and becomes her only parent. I was very touched to see him take this new role to heart, without hesitation. He has so much love to give. Jude is undeniably made for this, even if he sometimes feels incompetent or overwhelmed. But he always tries his best, sometimes making mistakes but you don't become a dad overnight. (And Jude shirtless, with glasses and gray sweatpants is indeed very hot. I don't know how Charlotte resisted for so long.)

But that was without counting on Charlotte's arrival at his place, as she needed a roof over her head for the summer. Charlotte is simply an extraordinary woman: devoted, thoughtful and brilliant. Even though she sometimes feels behind everyone in life, Charlotte is always the first to help others. I love seeing her take care of Ava as if she were her own daughter, with consideration and tenderness. I loved how she always had the right words to reassure Jude and support him at any hour of the day or night. He was always caring and supportive to Charlotte, always prioritizing her well-being.

My heart filled with love while reading this story. I fell in love with little Ava, who allowed them to realize that their feelings were mutual. I was dying of cuteness every time she smiled my baby 😭

I didn't always understand the warnings from their loved ones about their relationship, I felt they should have trusted them. I really appreciated how Jude's friends supported him in this new fatherhood.

Be still my heart Kat Singleton, what are you doing to me?!? 🥹 Have you found the new book boyfriend trifecta?

Shirtless, grey sweatpants and slutty glasses.....🥵

I was lucky enough to be able to immersive read More Than Friends after receiving both the arc and alc and for me, it is the best in the series so far!

Playboy Jude offers up his home to bestie Charlotte for the summer after she loses her home to the summer crowd visiting the Hamptons. Whilst Charlotte doesn't think it's a great idea, Jude is insistent and they spend so much time together anyway, what's the problem?

But when Jude finds a suprise bundle waiting for him at the front door, he needs all the help he gets and Charlotte is more than happy to be there for her bestie in his hour of need. Working as a team seems to come naturally to the pair, wrapped in their own little bubble, life doesn't get much better than this!

Before they know it, they're in real trouble. The close proximity, moments that feel way more intimate than they should, and as I said above, Jude.....shirtless, grey sweatpants and slutty glasses. Poor Charlotte never stood a chance 😅

How much are they willing to risk to see if their current situation is real or all make believe? It feels real, they both want it to be real, but the prospect of it all being make believe is heartbreaking for both of them.

The audio for this read was outstanding. The picture Kat painted of Jude, and then you add Jason Clarke's voice into the mix and.....yep, I'm done! I'll be over in the corner ready to be mapped up when you're ready 😂 I think I've also developed a girl crush on Meghan Wicks, or at least her voice, because it has the sexiest rasp to it. It's unlike any other female narrator I've heard and she was absolutely amazing throughout.

More Than Friends can absolutely be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the whole series to get the full effect of the characters. Whether you read or listen, this was fantastic book and I loved it from start to finish!

First and foremost, thank you to Kat Singleton and Valentine PR for the Advanced Reading Copy of this book! It's been a joy working with you both.

More Than Friends is a friends-to-lovers story, complicated by a 4-month-old child being dropped off at Jude's doorway. I somehow forgot the synopsis when I was reading so I was certainly surprised when Ava popped up! However, you can see the connection that was already there between Jude and Charlotte and having Ava created some forced proximity situations that allowed them to feel closer and more comfortable sharing their feelings!
Again, for some reason I was having trouble being engaged with the story until around the 50% mark, I'm not the biggest fan of the surprise baby/pregnancy trope so maybe that's all it was. However, I was motivated to keep reading and I did end up enjoying the book!

All in all, I'd say this was a cute friends-to-lovers book!

quick review of my arc: took me forever to finish bc it's def a SLOW SNAIL burn, but also I love the story and the characters!!

4.25 ⭐️

Thank you to Kat and her team for the early copy and this AMAZING PR🫶🏼 I am so incredibly thankful.

Oh daddy Jude how long I've waited for you!

The love these two have for each other as friends AND as more was everything. The chemistry was always there and they were the only ones who never saw it. And the second that his sweet little girl Ava enters the picture, the chemistry never ends.

The forced proximity made their attraction to each other undeniable. Charlotte stepping in to help Jude with Ava was so special because she knew how scared he was to do it alone.

Getting to see Jude's vulnerable side was also such an amazing piece of the story. We have always seen him as the flirty playboy, but he had so many levels to him.

The only reason it isn't 5 stars is I noticed some repetitive phrasing but I loved them too much regardless LOL

Tropes:
- billionaire romance
- friends to lovers
- single dad

Another billionaire in the Hamptons bites the dust.
And to one of our favorite Pembroke employees.

Jude & Charlotte 💕
Oh they’re just friends…
Friends to lovers on crack
Single dad: surprise
Forced proximity
Mutual pining
Cute baby

Jude our flirty and charming perpetual bachelor billionaire
Kat singleton is the only one I read billionaires for because she makes them more on a relatable level.

Charlotte, the cart girl with bigger dreams
Little age gap

I think this one for me was a tad predictable.
Also so much inner dialogue of the same thoughts.

This is the third book in the Pembroke Hills series, but could be read as a standalone if preferred. (Highly recommend reading the first two as well though because they are great ;) )

I am not at all surprised, but I loved this one so much. JUDE MF KENSINGTON Y’ALL! 🥰😍 He was everything I expected and so much more! Jude and Charlotte might just have my favorite relationship out of all of the couples so far. I am such a sucker for a single dad romance and it was so refreshing for it to be a single dad romance without it being a single dad/nanny dynamic. Cannot wait for the next book!

“I love being your friend, but I want to be more too. So much more.”

Listen y’all, Kat Singleton just blew my mind with how freaking SWEET this besties to lovers story was! Andddd the audio!! OMG! Megan Wicks & Jason Clarke were phenomenal in this duet style narration.

Jude Kensington is a man who PINED for ages over his best friend. Like seriously, he was so wildly head over golf clubs in love with Charlotte. He loved her so much he didn’t want to ruin their friendship by trying for more. When he suddenly becomes a father and he sees the possibility of a true little family with Charlotte he starts to think that maybe their love is worth the risk.

“Now that I’ve had her, it’ll never be enough.”

Prepare yourself, friends! Jude Kensington holding a baby, shirtless, WEARING GLASSES… I mean come on! Kat was looking to wreck some hearts (and ovaries) with that image, and she definitely succeeded!

“Of course I’ll miss you. With you two is where I always want to be.”

Every single little moment between Jude & Charlotte perfectly captured how sometimes, it’s worth ruining the friendship to try your shot at true love!

“My secret is that I’m considering hiding your toy from you so next time you get dirty thoughts about me, you just come to me instead.”

This was a slow burn that left me ACHING, but the spice. THE SPICE. Ohmylanta, it literally exploded. 🥵❤️‍🔥

“Say please. Beg for me, sweetheart.”

If you are looking for a sweet & spicy friends to lovers story, LOOK NO FURTHER! Jude & Charlotte are waiting for you!!

Now, I know I say this every time but this might be my new fav by Kat Singleton!!!

I don't know what Kat Singleton does, but every single book keeps getting better and better.

More Than Friends is such an amazing continuation to the Pembroke Hills series!! I'm think I might be obsessed with this book. Everything was perfectly made. I couldn't stop reading it!! As always, Kat's writing is amazing and really pulls you into the story.

This book is a fast paced romance book with all the spice and banter Kat got us used to. But most importantly, loved how tender and beautiful it is!!

You know I’m a sucker for a good friends to lovers romance book and Kat Singleton completely nailed with this one!!!

Jude and Charlotte are both amazing characters and I just couldn't help but be rotting for them!!!

I loved how their relationship evolved from friends to more. And Jude being a single dad!!! Obsessed!!! Their story felt very real and heartfelt. You could really see how their friendship was an amazing ground for their relationship.

In this book, like in any Kat's books, you can count with lots of spice, but also lots of emotional moments. As always Kat Singleton made me cry, laugh and swoon with this book.

Now I just can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!

Thank you Kat Singleton and team for the ARC!!!

A friends to lovers story with a billionaire single dad who wears glasses — what’s not to love?! 🤩

This was easily one of the cutest single dad romances I’ve read in a long time! Jude immediately stepping into the role of a devoted parent to his surprise daughter and trying to navigate fatherhood were truly some of my favorite and sweetest moments in the book 🥹 And seeing Charlotte fit so easily into that fold was so precious to witness. The tension is high between these two from the beginning of the book, so I kept waiting for when they’d give in and blur the lines between love and friendship, and I loved seeing them get their happy ending!

All in all, this was a very sweet (and, of course, steamy!) book from Kat 💜 I always love her obsessed billionaires, and being back in Pembroke Hills with Jude and Charlotte was such a treat. Already looking forward to coming back!

Thank you so much to Kat Singleton & her team for an ARC of this book! 💌

Honestly, not surprised that this was yet another five star read within the series. Kat NEVER misses!

DADDY JUDE!!!! they have only been a few times where a man has truly impressed me and this is one of them the way that he stepped up as not only a father figure but also as a friend when Charlotte needed him most I have no words truly men that are fictional will forever keep my standards high.

The friendship between Jude and Charlotte truly made my heart sing. I love a friend to lovers trope, and this one was the icing on the cake. Even though they have fun, flirtatious banter, seeing them flourish into a relationship was so seamless including parenthood.

Don’t even get me started on the cameos all throughout this book. I am never in withdrawals with how inclusive these characters are throughout multiple series and their acceptance of these two truly just goes to show how elite this friend group is.

Hoping Tyson is booked for because this man has me pining and can’t wait to figure out who this mysterious blonde lady is 👀

Thoughts:
Okay this worked so well for me! Definitely my favorite in the series so far and especially on audio with top tier duo Jason Clarke and Megan Wicks! So good!!

I didn't really look up any tropes or anything going in aside from knowing Charlotte and Jude were friends and I'm so glad I went in blind because the surprise baby, single dad aspects were so fun! I loved how we got the initial scenes with Jude and Charlotte maybe starting something more than friends. The tension and chemistry between them was off the charts!! And then of course we have the surprise baby that changes everything but seeing Jude become a dad was so sweet and I loved how Charlotte was there for him and was exactly what he needed. They were the cutest little fam together and I loved!!

Also Jude in glasses and the mouth on him! I loved how once he went there with Charlotte he was completely gone for her. Understandably they were both a bit hesitant to put their friendship in jeopardy, but I liked that there wasn't toooo much back and forth. They were so cute together and I adored them both.

While I truly had a great time listening, I don't know that it will be one that leaves a lasting impression so just not that full 5 star feel for me. Nothing wrong with it though and I definitely would recommend! Especially if you are looking for a summer read with Hamptons vibes. Was a great time!

Thank you so much to Kat Singleton and team for the advanced audio!
