You know when you stumble upon a book that you've never heard of the author before and you just want to have something to read over the weekend after a busy week, that's what happened I picked this up and wow can you believe this is this authors first Romance book as she usually writes paranormal, well done Cat honestly I read this in one day... ONE DAY!!!

Anxiety through the roof and before I go on I just want to advise this may not be everyone's cup of tea as this is a anxious read I was in the mood for it but I'm warning you up front here, it is gut wrenching painful heart-breaking but that's LOVE and to get from A to B some relationships need to go through the pain to get to the happy right?

So what's it about?
Grace needs structure and balance in her life she works damn hard to get what she wants, she's studying business and everything is in the numbers as long as the numbers work then so does her life, she's driven and goal minded and that's the way she roles. Jack is studying Graphic design he's creative in every sense of the world, and he's also a player but he swings both sides he's bi-sexual. Jack and Grace bump into one another at university, they have chemistry and one thing leads to another one night stand occurs this is not what Grace does, she's a one man woman doesn't share never will. Jack doesn't want to settle down he doesn't want to close all his cards in one basket and in that here is where everything gets confused.

Jack is upfront with Grace from that night forward and yes I completely get that they only just met yes I understand that but it doesn't make it any easier for her, I suppose when you fall you fall hard, she has to watch Jack 'fool' about with men mainly and that was tough on her heart, ok and that's how this book roles this is one big clusterFuck I cried quite a lot throughout this book and although you would like to see Jack as an 'ASS' he is that and has that asshole role but there is something you just can't help but love about him as every time Jack and Grace crossed paths there Chemistry is nothing but 'delicious' beautiful, sexy and you can't help but love him, I really did feel drawn to his character not only that but was pulled towards his spirit and drawn to his personality there's something very special about Jack and not all in the asshole kind of way but loving kind of way.

This book has a very clear message and LOVE isn't all that easy sometimes but you know what it makes you a stronger person, I come back to getting from A to B and having that HEA there's a few stumbling blocks to cross but really that makes this relationship the more special and worthwhile to feel the way they both did.

Grace you may have said 'WAKE UP' butttt in all honesty love is blind and it all comes back to you can't help who you fall in love with I would explain Grace as lovable, strong willed, driven, and sexy but above all she is NORMAL and REAL and yes I fell for Jack too.

Cat's writing was just a breeze to read it just flowed easily Cat is a great storyteller and I really just loved the events that occurred and how they went on, the extra characters I'm not going to explain them all cause as a reader you need to enjoy them as I did. I couldn't breathe till I finished, It did hurt but there were lots of happy times too this IS NOT a depressing book it's just a anxious read that will quench your thirst if that's what your wanting as it did me. All in all this was a real enjoyable fast paced love isn't simple read.

So will I recommend this- yes just be ready for the anxiety

Will I read it again- yes sometime in the future esp that epilogue I was sooo thrilled with the ending

And will I read anything Cat writes in the future?- Yes if its in this genre

THAT IS ALL

More like Stalking Jack. Or Obsessed with Jack. Or why won't Jack love me. And from Jacks pov, more like who am I? What do I want? Guys or girls? These characters were incredibly indecisive which became overwhelmingly annoying. Push and pull. On or off. And then the ending was just... Really?? after all that shit that's how it ends. Loving Jack was not very loving at all.

If your a fan of angst, then this is definitely for you. While the characters could be frustrating, there's something about the story line that draws you in. It's unconventional. It's sexy. It's emotional. The transition from last chapter to the epilogue is abrupt but it worked.

Honestly, this is a book I shouldn't have liked. It has just about every trope I hate. Clueless self absorbed alpha male. Cheating. Love triangle though in this instance it was like a love quad-angle. A bitchy ex. A heroine who can't seem to catch a break. And LOADS OF EMO DRAMA. LOADS.

Yet, I did like it. Yes, it frustrated me. It made me angry. It hurt my heart and made my slappy hand twitchy. I may have even teared up a little though I will vehemently deny it if you ask.

Cat Miller's Loving Jack is a complicated love story about a boy and girl who fall in love but the boy is bi sexual and not ready to settle down. He's also not ready to let the girl go. You can't fault the boy to much because he is honest but his mixed signals hurt the girl and the reader by default. The girl tries...oh how she tries...but she too is honest in he feelings for him while he struggles to find himself.

It's an emotional read that addresses relationships, sexuality, compromise, and having the ability to be true to oneself. Even at the expense of the person you love. I admired Miller for her ending. Sometimes what we want isn't necessarily what we need and in the end, we are all stronger for our journey.

Loving Jack is quite unlike some of the other books in its genre, mainly because the love story isn't simple. Yes, I know, love is never simple, but what Cat Miller does is clever and so raw, it literally feels like you are going through the motion of events with Grace.
Poor Grace had my heart from the get go. Not because she was this in your face ass kicking female lead, but more because she was real. She was normal. She had clear goals and knew where she wanted to go in life, but the way Jack whisked her off her feet, did that thing on the bonnet of his car - yes, I would have fallen hook, line and sinker too.

Cat Miller does an amazing job bringing to life the strife and pain that comes with even considering a relationship that comes with strings, and by strings, I mean compromise, but not the kind people are often faced with in a normal "run of the mill" monogamous relationship.

Jack is honest from the start, and I found that endearing. He was a loveable character, but terribly conflicted. The attraction between Jack and Grace was sexy, sensual and believable, but so was the heartache. I cried when Grace cried. I cried when she consoled Jack and I cried when she stood up to the horrid Victor.

This truly was a beautiful, well written novel and one that I will read over and over again, because the ending...that ending just left my jaw on the floor, and I LOVED every minute of it.

**Review from my "A Sky Full of Stars Blog".

I finished reading this story over a month & a half ago & it is still one I cannot get out of my head. I had a hard time with the ending at first & wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first. I wanted the happy ending for all the characters involved (other than a few bad ones), but I feel that the ending, although happy, wasn’t MY version of the happy ending I had envisioned. With that being said, having had time to think about this book the past week, I must say it is well done & I wouldn’t change how it ended. The book has great character development, a epic love story & twists I never saw coming. It is an emotional roller coaster I don't think I'll ever get over. I had emotional highs & lows, and still haven't landed back on the ground over a week later. I won't give too much away, but I would love to share with everyone how great of a story this is & how well written this was. Great job, I love the book & can’t wait to see what you write next Cat Miller!

**Update** I am still thinking back to Jack & Grace & their story & ending at least a few times a week. It's a storyline that I was having an internal battle with after I finished it. I loved their story & was just torn on their ending. Now after I have had more time to process, and speak with the Author Cat Miller more about it, it really wouldn't have been a better ending had everything turned out how I MYSELF wanted it to end. Cat did a FANTASTIC job wrapping the story up and jumping ahead for the readers to see how everything is later on. It's not your traditional story where it's all, "they lived happily ever after". You get a sneak at what's next for all the characters involved & I enjoyed that. I can't wait to sit down & read their story again! Great job again, Cat Miller!!!

Pass me the tissues! What a story, just wow. I always find Cats writing so eloquent, it flows so lovely it's almost poetic. I never find a lull. It's all relevant and perfectly paced. The story had such deaths, so full of feeling and emotions. It's all about the subtle looks, the atmosphere. I just love that. The characters are extraordinary...I can't believe how it ended. Perfect, but unexpected. It explores the insecurities we have ans totally exposes them. The feeling of inadequacy, rejection, inability to compete...it just gets you thinking. I just adored loving Jack, even with tears...such an addictive read. What a complete change of genre, but completely shows the talent Cat has.

This is not your typical love story. Heartbreak, romance, unrequited love, steamy sex, hurt and in the end HEA. Great read!!!
