Although there is one she can't save.
Book 3: Things pick up straight from book 2. Angel has left the compound, devastated over loosing Aunt Gracie and Luke. Book 4: Now at Gage's ranch, things are at a normal pace for Angel and Luke. They get to live a relatively regular life. Richo, who has gone to the ranch with them, gets a chance to heal his leg. Of course, that's not Dreygon's plans, so they need to head back home to Reno for answers and Luke is called back to work. He is playing mind games with Luke and his DEA job, and has Cash beaten for being a "rat". Luke knows that Dreygon is loosing his mind and needs to step up his hunch of one of his dad's cold cases.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. I have basically read one book a day, as I couldn't put them down. I was lucky to have had them in this box set so I didn't have to wait for the next instalment. Tess has written a perfect balance of romance, mystery and keeping it realistic. You wont be disappointed with this series.
I received a copy from the author for an honest review. Review for JoandIsaLoveBooks Blog.
PART 1: Not many notes because well to me this book was too short, but I understand it's a series of five books so yes I waited until I had all five of them in my greedy little hands until I start the series. I'm glad I waited although the cliffhanger in this one wasn't much of a cliffhanger I know they may get worse. Angel that girl likes to tempt the devil himself, "she wriggled her hips purposely, and the movement caused my c*** to harden, something that didn't escape her notice. She laughed. "I think you're well on your way to recuperation. Now if we can just figure out who the heck you are." I'm so excited to be starting the next one.
PART 2: This book starts where book one left off and I was so glad that I could quickly start up book two, Luke he's a typical guy and he well gets easily sidetracked, "huh?" My eyes drifted shut at the intoxicating feel of her touch. "I can't feel anything except those long, sweet fingers of yours wrapped around my c***." Luke he's not one to leave his woman behind and he's willing to move hell to get back to her, "yeah, she's there." I gazed out the window and watched as a more familiar world rolled by, a world that existed outside of Dreydon's compound, a world that Angel belonged in. 'And I'm going back for her." On to the next one I go.
PART 3: As your noticing my reviews for this series keeps getting shorter and that's because I got all the books and have read them all in one day and every time I kept finishing one I instantly moved on to the next because I needed to know what happened. Luke he is the most caring bada** that I know the way he cares for his girl is unreal, "shh, baby, I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere." I pulled her hand from my c*** and kissed her palm. "Relax." I want a man like Luke he'll seriously risk everything for his girl.
PART 4: Luke he has no qualms for his actions over his woman, I mean he does give her reasoning, "I'm sorry, Angel. I don't mean to be so obsessive, but I-I can't stand the thought of ever losing you. Being with you has made me crazy with greed. I don't want to share you with anyone. I don't want to share you with the world. I want you all to myself." Now some of us may think 'cautionary sign for a psycho right there' but if you've read all the other books in this series then you know that's actual pretty hot and sweet for Luke to say. Luke he doesn't mind doing some girly things as long as his woman is involved and perhaps naked, "I stepped into the bath and giggled as tufts of bubbles floated up like soapy clouds. "I might have overdone the bubble bath." He sat behind me and pulled me between his legs." This one was my favorite out of the series (yes I've already read book five and this one holds the honor of being my fave.)
PART 5: Alright I was sad to see this series end but I have a feeling it's not the end of seeing Angel and Luke I mean Luke does have some brothers and I hear they will be getting their own books, so I'm thinking we'll see these two again. Luke the more you read this series the more you see the boy be a romantic: We walked beneath the opening, and i lifted my face to the warmth. "Now this is perfect in nature." "I'll say." Luke was gazing at me as he answered. There is one thing for certain about Luke he doesn't like sharing or being away from his girl too long, "I've been sharing you with your new family and relatives, the police, the press and in an hour I have to share you with a hundred people coming to celebrate your return. Please, baby, I need to have you all to myself for an hour. I'm going effing nuts without you." I can't wait to see if these two pop up in Gage's book.
Rain Shadow, The Barringer Brothers is a great series. I was hooked from Book 1 and truly enjoyed the adventure.
"Reno" Luke Barringer is near death in the desert when an Angel, Evangeline Sharpe, finds him and saves his life...or does she just draw him into something that is even worse than death.
Luke "Reno" is drawn deeper into the seedy underbelly of Dreygon Sharpe's warped mind and is kept on his toes trying to keep up with Dreygon's ever changing mind sets.
Luke and Angel fall deeper in love with each other and she knows he is hiding something. He is tortured daily with wanting to tell her everything but at what risk.
As Dreygon falls deeper into his cruelty, Angel doesn't know if she will ever escape her grandfather and the life she now can't stand to lead.
Luke "Reno" is willing to sacrifice anything to keep Angel safe. Angel is torn between her old life and an unknown life that is anxious to experience.
I don't want to give away the big "aha" moment so I won't say much more, but this is a must read for any MC book enthusiast.
I am a lover of all things MC and this series definitely delivers.
Absolutely LOVED this box set!!! When I started it I hadn't read the blurb, mainly because I love anything Tess Oliver writes. I had gotten the free sample and before I got to the end of the first chapter I had one-clicked it on Amazon lol
The story starts with the lead man, waking up with no recollection of what had happened to him. He's beaten up in a real bad way and pretty much resigns himself to not seeing another day through....that is until a gorgeous saving Angel arrives on her horse and just can't help taking him under wings.
Luke is thrust into a dangerous world of Bedlam MC and the women he falls for, who saved him, Angel, is the granddaughter of the clubs leader.
This story had me glued to my kindle every chance I could get and if you love MC Romamce books, tough alpha males, hot strong and challenging women and a lot of sauciness then this is the read for you!!!
A very long story of Luke and Angel....Luke is a DEA agent left for dead in the desert when an undercover op goes south. Angel is the young woman who finds him and nurses him back to health. The problem is Luke has amnesia and Angel lives in her grandfather's desert compound. He is the president of the Bedlam Motorcycle Club. And things live up to the Bedlam name. After a couple predicable events Luke and Angel are together. We meet all the men who star in the future books provided by Tess Oliver. It was a good book. As one would expect from a motorcycle club there is quite a bit of violence, sex and rough language.
Story has it all, but it's not for the faint of heart. Raw, gritty, sexy and romantic. Luke "Reno" Barringer is almost dead when Angel finds him. Their relationship is hard and I wasn't really happy with the ending. It's almost happy just not what I wanted. Throughout the story you are introduced to scary characters who are none the less loveable. They have their own stories and I hope they catch me up on what is happening with Luke and Angel.
I read this series after the Barringer brothers series, but still enjoyed it very much, maybe even more than the "Brothers" as a whole. I read them as a single novel in this "box set". The story of Angel and Luke/Reno is complicated, fraught with stressful and dangerous situations and I thought it would never end, but, of course, it does:-). If you read this first, then you can move on to the stories of the brothers and Angel's brothers in correct order.
Absolutely loved this collection. Brilliant series to read - read on a very rainy day in one fell swoop. Loved the tone of Angel and Luke's relationship. The past and future blended well without too many distractions. I guessed the ending but it was well written. Good pace, believable goodies and baddies throughout. I'm off to read more about the stronger brothers - am hoping it'll be as good as this series on Luke.
There aren't words for how incredibly good this series was!!! I started with Gage's story and came back and got Luke's story to get myself back in line with the characters and the storyline. I couldn't put it down. Tess Oliver is a fantastic author and I can't wait to read Seth's story.
Great start to a series. I really liked all the characters in the story. I only wish Dexter hadn't died and it was someone else. He was described as someone interesting. I was sad for Luke when it all came together. Angel was special. I liked her along with the other men involved with this story, even the evil guys played a good bad guy role.
I'm not sure how I would label this series. Yes,there was romance. But I would call it more of an action/mystery. While reading it, I had the mystery figured out by at least book 2. It was still nice to read everything leading up to the HEA. I am excited to read about Gage, Cash,Jericho and Seth.
This was my first read by this author. This wasn't bad but there were a lot of times I was hoping it would finish. I felt there was a lot of times the books just dragged. The story was good, but I was able to figure out what was going to happen in the end.
I was glad that I was able to read the entire series all in a row as I would have been biting at the bit for the next book. I liked the story of Angel and Luke. I also liked the glimpses of the other brothers and MC family.
I read gage first then picked up the box set and was not disappointed as you did a very good job keeping me reading every character was well played out, thanks for a very good read
I love when you can get the box sets and don't have to wait. I read Gage and Cash first not realizing they were characters from Rain Shadow. Very good read and have the other brothers on my wish list.
This series is the bomb. I think anyone would love it. Its full of twists and turns. But most of all there is an awesome love story. No eye rolling. Just a superb read
What a brilliant series I was hooked from start to finish. The books seem to really flow and are real page turners. I loved Angel and Luke. I cannot wait to read the next book.
Loved this series; I little intrigue, a little insta-love; amnesia, MC guys, crazy grandpa, sexy leading lady who is also super smart and self-reliant in a man's world, I mean what's not to love?
What a story, there's something for everyone in this story, there's so much to this story it's hard to describe, but great writing form this author, never a dull moment.
The story was very good. It held your interest, the main characters believable. What bothered me was the packaging of the books. This could have been sold as one book for $4.99. As a 5 book set it only had 600 or so pages. Not really worth the price. I felt tricked into the sale. Why can't anyone just write a complete book anymore???
