Mabelle Lawson had been managing her dead sister’s ranch without help for three months. The last thing she needs is a band of outlaws showing up and pushing her around. A great little historical read taking place during the homestead account in American history... with a bit of some naughty punishment to keep a disobedient fiancee i line!!!

Sam is wanted for murder. He joins up with a gang when they all take shelter in the same cave. The men in the gang are bad news but Sam isn't a bad guy. They stumble upon Mabelle's ranch and Sam protects her from the gang but disciplines her when she talks back. She acts up a lot and requires a lot of spankings and whippings.
This is a consensual romance with a hot H and feisty h.

What I love about Renee Rose's books is for the most part the spanking is not down for made up or trivial things and the scenes flow organically from the plot. I read this as part of the collection and I highly recommend. Series can be read pretty much in any order- at least so far. The collection has this second and there's actually a first book that's not listed here on Goodreads.

Mabelle Lawson is living at the farm in Wyoming of her late brother-in-law who was killed by Indians and sister who died of Consumption. She is barely managing day to day. Sam Pride was a rancher in Colorado that had a run in with four men sent by a neighboring rancher who wanted his land and water for his cattle. Sam is considered a wanted man for what was self defense. He ends up with the Curly James gang by accident when they were both seeking shelter from the rain. Forced to be there during a stage robbery, he actually saves the people from death. They are riding and need shelter and find Mabelle's farm. Sam knows how ruthless these other three men are, and being a decent man, he protects Mabelle when Curly goes to slap her in the face and said that is not how you handle women, you spank their bottom, which he does. Things start to get out of hand when Curly decides he is going to take Mabelle in hand and a shoot out takes place, killing the three wanted gang members. Sam loads their bodies into the wagon and tells Mabelle to take them to Cheyenne for the reward but ends up having to go with her. Along the way he ends up having to blister he bottom repeatedly.

I was so happy to see that Renee Rose wrote one of the stories in this set. All the books I’ve read by her are so good. She gives lots of details and her spankings are hot! This is the story of Sam and Mabelle. Mabelle came out to Wyoming to help nurse her sister who had consumption. Once there, her brother-in-law Frank was killed by Indians. Her sister gave up and died several weeks later. Mabelle was left alone to run the ranch. Sam was being forced to ride with a gang. He was wanted for killing four men in Colorado Terrritory. They came to the ranch for shelter and, sparks began to fly! Eventually, the gang is killed and Mabelle and Sam take their bodies to Cheyenne. There they meet the Pinkerton man who delivers the letter about Sam’s father dying. They decide to travel there together as they have fallen in love and they have a plan to get the bounty off of Sam’s head.
This book is really good. I stayed up reading way later than I should! There is a great story and very hot spankings. Mabelle seems to always be in trouble. But, the making up after is pretty hot too. I highly recommend this story! 5 stars!

This is the first book out of The Sons of Johnny Hastings that I have read and I am highly impressed. Mabelle Lawson has been getting by for three months on her own. Her sister and brother in-law are dead and she's alone.
That is until the Curly James Gang takes refuge in her home. Full of sass Mabelle just doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut which earns her a spanking over Sam Pride's knee. One spanking is all takes for Mabelle to secretly want more.
Sam is looking to leave the Curly James Gang and clear his name. Falsely accused, he has been on the run trying to escape. Mabelle stirs up a need within him and he knows he won't leave Mabelle.
The Outlaw's Bride sucks you in from page one and makes you hold on until the end. I loved Mabelle heavy set attitude. She isn't afraid to speak up and Sam learns that it will take time for her submission to show through. That won't stop him from putting her over his knee. The story line was strong and the character development was beautiful.

This is one of the books from the multi-author box set “The Sons of Johnny Hastings”. Set in the Wild West, it features the blossoming relationship between feisty ranch owner Mabelle and Sam Pride, a good man forced by a bad situation to be on the run from the law.
Renee Rose does a fantastic job once again at giving us a hero who manages to be a stern alpha male and a charming romantic at the same time. He doesn’t hesitate to give Mabelle orders and put her over his knee for her own good but he shows a sweet vulnerability as he begins to entertain the idea that he might have a future with Mabelle despite his less than promising circumstances.
This is a pretty action-packed story which finds the heroes thrown from one dangerous situation to another. It works beautifully as the danger – and Sam’s sexy, sexy discipline – pushes the heroes closer together.
Fun, exciting and sexy – this book was an absolute joy from beginning to end.

Fantastic story from the Sons of Johnny Hastings book set!
Set in the old west, the story is about a young woman (Mabelle) trying hard to keep her deceased sister and brother in law's ranch going.
Unfortunately, a group of bad guys (The Curly James gang) drops in for a visit, threatening both Mabelle, and her ranch.
Sam Pride is an outlaw, (a good guy, being forced to run because of a bad incident) who happens to be in the right place at the right time.
He protects the feisty Mabelle from Curly's wrath by taking her over his knee, and the sparks fly from there!
I loved the chemistry between Sam and Mabelle. He teaches her to draw and shoot properly; and he teaches her about love.
This was a fast paced, fun read, with lots of great spankings, hot sex, and a great story line!

Renee never lets me down. This book may be my favorite of hers yet!
Sam is a good-hearted man in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mabelle is a woman of courage willing to do what she has to to take care of the people she loves. Together the two make the perfect couple. It's the perfect storyline-I couldn't stop reading. Laughter, tears, spanking and down-right sinfully delicious coupling, I couldn't get enough! My only complaint-the same with every one of her books-I want more!!!

The Outlaw's Bride by Renee Rose(The Sons Of John Hastings Box Set)
This was an entertaining book. In it we meet Mabelle Lawson and Sam Pride. These characters are well thought out and a joy to get to know. I liked that Mabelle was feisty yet not prissy and that Sam while definitely a mans man wasn't arrogant and over the top. The story flowed seamlessly from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the entire series.
