After watching one of her mates disappear before her very eyes, Alora has no choice but to flee the golden palace. Her other mate desperately drags her north to safety…
But nowhere is safe.
Fate has its claws deep in her, but Alora is ready to face it head on, no matter what sacrifices lie along the way. Her mates would survive, even if she had to take down the god himself to make it so.
She must fight through stone and fire to thwart her long lost mother’s plans before the solstice; the night Trinity intends to unleash Chaos from the realm of the gods. She means to control and rule an empire stained in blood, even if it means sacrificing her own daughter’s life.
Can she save the realm before it’s too late? Or will the fire inside her burn everything she holds dear to the ground?
Follow Alora’s final battle in Queen of Stars and Wrath, the epic conclusion to the Araceli’s Blade trilogy. If you love dark fantasy romances where destiny and desire clash in a dangerous game of love, betrayal, and redemption, then this series is for you.
Ember Johnson writes tales steeped in starlight and shadows. Her books will take you to new realms filled with whimsical settings, strong heroines, wicked banter, and book boyfriends that bite.
You’ll often find her curled up on her couch with a hot cup of tea writing an unhinged plotline for the lore or reading her new favorite fantasy romance. There’s an 80% chance it’s a reverse harem/why choose, fantasy romance in a dark academic setting.
Ember cohabitates with her husband who has still to this day not finished reading her debut. His qualm is that she “killed him” as his favorite character died. Unfortunately, no characters are safe in any series. Together they survive the daily chaotic antics of their two children, dog, and cat.

This was a great finale to this addicting series! We started the book with one of our main crew captured and Alora trying to plan how to save them and save the rest of the realm! The stakes are high and so are the emotions. OH the emotions! I was so glad to see some reunions and how the end of the epic conflict turned out! This is out soon so future readers won't have to suffer with the cliffhanger in book 2! I'm excited to see what Ember writes next!
Thank you thank you thank you Torch Lit Ink and Ember for the amazing opportunity to receive this book as an ARC in return for an honest review The 3rd and final instalment is honestly a TOP TIER book for anyone who loves Romantasy/fantasy/romance whatever you want to call it. QoSaW has the perfect blend of incredible plot (adventures, story, some history, explanations of the world) as well as relationships (smut as well as character development). If I could give this a 6 star I would! It's giving ACOTAR meets Artefacts of Ouranos meets War of Lost Hearts, but it is a series and world and adventure of its own with a clear originality that I have been CRAVING!! I have eaten this book up like my favourite meal, and have stayed up late and woken up early to read more. I feel like I've witnessed Ember's advancement and growth as an author; comparing her writing from this book to the first demonstrates so much growth. The plot just made so much sense and flowed really well. I think the only thing I could complain about is not having any details on Luella and her 'powers', and how they kind of came out of nowhere. (not really a spoiler as this is all fae/fae cross/human characters :) ) Or the meaning of Araceli and the blade. Seriously well done, and I look forward to reading any more series you may write. I hope this series can reach the heights of other books in the genre as this is so good and original! Also thank you for feeding my multi-men era as I really think sometimes women could do with double the dicks, double the orgasms!!
Queen of Stars and Wrath was a near-perfect ending to this series, the perfect ending being that there is no ending and the series continues. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. The world is filled with interesting and meaningful locations that the characters take us to throughout their journey. The descriptions make it easy to imagine the scene without overcomplicating and overwhelming the reader’s senses. The characters show obvious growth throughout the series as individuals, as well as growth in their relationships with each other. The plot was interesting, evenly paced, loose ends were tied up nicely, and I was pleasantly surprised by all the plot twists.
I have to give this book 5 stars because not only was the story paced so well and flowed seamlessly between each book, but the character growth was very realistic, and the plot was just so interesting that when this book ended, I wanted more of it so badly that I wanted to write again. A story that makes you wish it continued and inspires you to continue it yourself or even write something new is worth more than 5 stars. This is what a story is meant to do: inspire its readers, and Ember has done that with this series, and I couldn’t be more proud of her! Well done, you!
Queen of Stars and Wrath is the final book in the Araceli's Blade trilogy, and I can't get enough of it. This is Alora's story of revenge, fated mates, and an epic dark fantasy romance with spice. Their story had me on a roller coaster of emotions, and the tension in trying to find her loved ones, while also trying to save the realm. I love the growth of Lor and how she gets reunited with friends and familiar faces, who help her in her journey. I also love the understanding of the world and the prophecy it reveals; it really made things come to light and the intentions of the Gods. Their story is a perfect ending to the trilogy and makes me want to read more. I really enjoyed their story and can't wait to read more by Ember.
I voluntarily leave an honest review of this gifted advance reader copy.
Thank you Ember and torch lit for letting me have an ARC version of this book in return for my review!!
I read the first two books not too long ago and absolutely loved them and this one is no different! Embers writing is always so detailed and can really explain things easily. The characters are very well written and so is the plot!
I will say the ghost’s was something i was not expecting and that’s wonderful to say.
My only real complaint is that i wish we were able to learn a bit more about Luella and her new powers, but that’s all i can really complain about.
This whole series was absolutely amazing, a great trilogy with wonderful characters and so much depth.
I can’t wait to read more books written by Ember!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Will she accept her fate or let the world she knows die?
Queen of Stars and Wrath is the final piece of Alora’s journey and is one you don’t want to miss.
Johnson takes us back to her expertly crafted world of intrigue, magic, and betrayal as Alora, her mates, and their friends battle to save their world and each other.
This final stage is just as exciting and captivating as the rest of the series. Heartache, longing, love, and heat all intertwine with sweet and funny moments that bring the found family closer together. This story made me cry, fist pump, and smile in equal measure.
Come finish out Alora’s journey and see what it means to be the Queen of Stars and Wrath.
So much better than the 1st 2 books. I am very glad I stuck with this series. This book did not jump around time lines and had a very smooth flow. The characters are much improved. The world builing is still a bit lack luster but MUCH improved over the 1st two books. I am glad we got to the end of the sotry and excited to have a prequil. Would maybe even love to see a 5 year jump into the future, just to give it a nice wrap up. Would love to know where the name Araceli came from... that ending just seemed pulled out of thin air. Who is Araceli and why is the kingdom named after her?
I can't believe this is the end. I loved this series so much! So many twists and turns. I dont want to give away any spoilers so im just going to say read it! I cant tell yall enough to check this series out. You have to read them in order and they are not standalones! Book 1: Daughter of Shadows and Ash is available now on digital and Paperback (audio coming soon) Book 2 : Princess of Flames and Fate is available now on digital and Paperback I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
What a PERFECT ending to an epic trilogy! Johnson starts this book off with a bang (after ripping your heart out at the end of book 2). Lor truly can’t catch a break and we are right alongside her as she flees with her one remaining mate.
The worldbuilding in this book is phenomenal - so many things clicked into place. I loved learning what the gods were truly up to and how they intended to wield others to do their bidding.
Lor grew so much in this book and I was emotional seeing everything she endured to meet the final boss, her own mother. The romance was top notch and I soaked up the intimacy in the quieter moments. She is one of my all time favorite FMCs and this story really delivered on what I was craving.
You need to pick up this trilogy, it is now one of my all time favorites!
Book 3 of Araceli's Blade is the perfect ending for all three MC's. It is a book full of character growth and twists and turns. I am so sad it ended. I hope that we have a novella that shows the growth and how relationships grow since the ending.
Thank you to Ember Johnson and Torch Lit for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.
WHAT a perfect ending to this trilogy. Ember has done it again. She has given me all the best besties, the best heroine. A great love story. The entire series is so well written, so beautifully put together. Also—- I still am Rashers #1 fan lol if you know you know. So happy. Thank you Ember!!
