Take Me Out #2

Don't Forget To Love Me

Rate this book
In a stadium of over thirty thousand people, somehow it feels like it’s just me and her. Skylar thought showing up in a new city and surprising her boyfriend would be a good idea, until she caught him with his pants down—literally. In an attempt to flee, she ends up colliding with a taxi, landing on her back in the middle of the street. With no place to go and strangers crowding her space, she finds herself alone and overwhelmed.

On the verge of another World Series win, Connor swoops in to rescue a stranger on her worst day. He never imagined that getting a pretty girl out of the rain and into his guest room would turn both of their worlds upside down.

What was supposed to be a temporary place to stay turns into something much bigger than either of them could have expected. Suddenly, “Don’t forget to put the ice cream in the freezer this time” turns into “Don’t forget to love me.”

“Because you belong in my bed, in my clothes … you’re mine, Sky. So fucking mine.”

This book completely stole my heart from the very first page. But I'm struggling to rate this.

Don't Forget To Love Me by Caitlin Klassen was a very sweet, spicy romance.
The story begins with Skylar planning a surprise trip to visit her boyfriend, Trey at his new place in Kansas City, after he'd been nagging her to "come visit" every day. She's ready to take the next step by moving in and starting a job at the local library, where she has an interview lined up. But what was meant to be an exciting new chapter quickly takes a heartbreaking turn when she catches Trey with his pants down and deep in his secretary. Things go from bad to worse when she literally ends up face-down in the street, and from that moment, her world feels overwhelming and chaotic.

Enter Connor, a knight in shining armour, stepping in and saving her in the middle of the street/ What starts as a simple act of kindness turns into so much more.

I will say, it was a little insta-lusty but a slow burn? The pacing was a little strange to me; it was really fast-paced yet so smooth. I absolutely loved the way their relationship unfolded! Their romance, their chemistry, and dynamic. AND THE SMUTT... very spicy!!
Connor and Skylar's romance was full of sweetness, humor, and genuine warmth. I couldn't help but swoon over Connor!! His charm, attention to detail, and sincerity made him the perfect book boyfriend I instantly rooted for, while Skylar’s mix of vulnerability and strength made her incredibly relatable.

But I couldn't help but want more from the story.
→There was little to no conflict, especially with Skylar’s ex, Trey, and the fact that he , yet nothing really came of it.

→Another thing, I didn't realize the FMC's name was Skylar.. It's the name of my ex (yeah, his mom named him Skylar xD he's still a really good friend, and he's been friends with my bf since HS... I'll be honest was just a tad bit awkward reading the smutt😅)

→And lastly, there was a lot of book talk in this... which, if you've read my reviews in the past would know how much it always breaks the immersion for me😭😭 also.. the fact that it makes me cringe so much. I did try to put my feelings aside for that because I loved Connor and Sky's wholesome story.

Overall, besides having some mixed feelings, the vibes were definitely there! If you’re looking for a feel-good, super sweet romance with a happy ending, this was perfect. I finished this with a big smile and maybe a little craving for apple pie! And those recipes at the back; I'm going to have to try them!!

I can't wait for Daisy's book!!

“This isn’t what I expected for my first day in a new city. It feels like I’ve been thrown into some cliché romantic comedy or a tragic thriller.”

I loved Conner in book 1 “you used to love me”. And I was so excited for this man to get his own book!

Conner is the greenest of green flags! 😍 I was swooning the whole time!

The banter between Conner and Skylar was top tier 👌.

“Conner, has anyone ever told you how high you set the bar?”

Conner is definitely high on the book boyfriend list, right up there with Noah Riley!

They have a unconventional and unique love story and it was beautiful ❤️

In this book you’ll find strangers to lovers, roommates to lovers, forced proximity, disability representation and some found family.

4.5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️

Y’all already know I love Caitlin’s books, so we certainly won’t be surprised when I love another one 😂

Caitlin literally knocked it out of the park with this one! From the beginning of You Used to Love Me, everyone wanted a Connor story, and… IT 👏🏼 DELIVERED 👏🏼

Connor was just sweet as apple pie and is the literal definition of “if he wanted to, he would”. He’s just a walking green flag. Seeing him welcome Skylar into his life, and Skylar learning to let someone love her whole-heartily was so wholesome. If you’re a hopeless romantic, or just looking for a super sweet sports romance, this one is perfect for you!

This book releases on the 30th, but you can catch the first in the series, or any of Caitlin’s other books on KU!

My Review:

Well, this amazing story left me smitten and wanting to read more and desperately need Apple pie! Caitlin, you've blown my mind as per usual! I would have to say of all the books I've read of yours Connor is by far my favourite book boyfriend! Don't forget to love me is the 2nd book in the "Take me out" series.

Skylar is moving to the city and the moment she arrives she catches her boyfriend in bed with his secretary! She instantly runs out and into the street and ends up falling and hurting her shoulder, her fall caught the attention of a lot of people, but no one helped her until Connor🫶 When he finds out the reason that caused her to run out to the street in the first place and on top of it that she has nowhere to go now, he offered her to stay with him.

Their intentions were to just be temporary roommates and friends, but the lust between them was pretty much instant. The way Connor treats Sky is how every woman dreams about being treated! 🥰 Connor will completely leave you smitten, he's now within the top five of my favourite book boyfriends! Skylar, is the sweetest and most caring FMC you'll ever meet and loves her books. The two of them have an obsession for apples 🍎 🍏By the time I finish this book I desperately needed something with apples and at the end of this book, there was an apple pie recipe!!!! Which I would have to say I forgot to take pictures of that was absolutely delicious.

My favourite quote is "Because you belong in my bed, in my clothes...you're mine, Sky. So f*ck!ng mine."

I absolutely adore this book and the writing was mind blowing! I instantly had to order the special edition sprayed edges, cover to have my shelf trophy, which happened to actually arrive on release day which is TODAY!!!

Thank you SO much Caitlin for having me on your ARC team!!!

This was a delightful and sweet romance where the like is instant and the love is forever. It made me giggle and swoon and feel happy. It is a perfect pick me up or let me escape reality story.

Skylar is a speech-language pathologist from a super small town looking to move to the big city for a fresh start.

Connor is a star pitcher on a pro baseball team who lives in the big city and is getting ready to play in the world series.

They meet when she has a run in with a taxi after finding out her boyfriend (that she didn't really like all that much) was cheating. He offers her his guest room since she is visiting the city and now has no place to stay because of aforementioned boyfriend. She says yes. Things get very flirty and somewhat awkward and deliciously sweet.

Skylar & Connor are absolutely adorable and they are both so into each other that they can't help but jump almost immediately into a relationship. And I am here for it. I love that even though it is scary and they don't know it will turn out okay, Connor & Skylar go for it. All in, for however long they may get. Now, there are missteps along the way but that just adds to fun.

And I love their family/friends. They are so vibrant, loud and fun.

I really enjoy Caitlin's writing. My brain likes how the story flows and the happiness of each page. And that it is easy to keep track of people.

I received this as an ARC and am so grateful. The advance copy had zero impact on the content of my review, that is all based on the story itself.

This book hooked me right away. The short chapters made it so easy to keep going!! I kept saying “just one more,” and before I knew it, I was halfway through. The writing flows so smoothly that I finished it in under 24 hours!

Conner is genuinely everything. Thoughtful, charming, and just… wow. There’s a moment that completely melted my heart. The romance is sweet, emotional, and has just the right amount of steam without overdoing it.

There are also some deeper themes woven in, and they add just enough weight to keep things grounded without taking away from the overall feel. She even threw in a few surprise details that make the whole experience even more enjoyable 😍

It’s hard not to smile through so much of this book. I didn’t want it to end, and now I’m just sitting here waiting for more.

Overall, it’s full of heart with a great balance of fun, emotion, and heat. This series is definitely worth picking up!! ⚾️🧢

CUTE! As always my girl Caitlin came through for the win. Such an easy read and sweet as apple pie. Not once so far have I been disappointed with a book from Klassen. The happy ever after you need always comes through with an MMC that makes you smile like an idiot and an FMC you find yourself relating to on some level. This book was perfect, with all the warm fuzzies and giggles. When I finished reading this one I was smiling and felt happy and satisfied. Connor is cute as heck. Falls hard and fast. Skylar has sass. She throws herself into the situation, almost as if to say, ‘what’s the worst that can happen?’ Together they banter and share everything. It was perfect! Seriously if you want to have that warm fiery feeling after finishing a book…read this!

I cannot say enough good things about Caitlin’s writing! I had a perma-smile on my face all day falling in love with Connor and Skylar!
These two characters brought out the best sides of one another and show how great communication can make a relationship thrive. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how long you know someone - you can get to know them everyday moving forward. Connor’s golden retriever energy is absolutely perfect, and the ASL and dyslexia representation is beautifully blended into the story.
With no third act breakups and a good dose of spice, not to mention the banter between the characters - this was an easy five star for me! The best part, you get a full story without the fluff making her books easy reads, my personal fav!
Thank you to Caitlin for allowing me to be part of her ARC team. I’d be first in line to read your books regardless, but it was such a pleasant surprise to have this in my inbox earlier than expected!

Skylar and Conner had an unconventional start and it played out so well for them! I loved how different these characters stories began. Their meet cute was certainly not "cute" when she ran into a taxi trying to get away from her ex. But it worked so well for them and was exactly how their story was supposed to start. How many pro baseball players would take a gorl home after watching her flee a building and run into a taxi? Conner is just that good of a guy!

So many parts of this book that i want to mention but I don't want to give anything spoilers. Just know theres a bathtub moment (lol moment), theres the softness that Conner is and especially with Skylars dad (melts me), there is his sweetness, kind, caring, passion toward the girl he barley knows but knows she is his person!

So good! I loved their story and also loved getting to see the characters from book 1 again. I cant wait to read book 3 when it releases!

Caitlin Klassen hits a home run again with Don't Forget to Love Me.

Every single one of her books I've read thus far has succeeded in making me swoon, kick my feet, and giggle like there's no tomorrow. All of her MMCs are swoon-worthy and worthy of my time.

Connor is definitely no exception.

I absolutely loved Connor and his thoughtfulness and charm. Everything about this man is perfect - he even buys her books!?
His acceptance of her and her parents absolutely melted my heart and I love all of Caitlin's characters UGH.

I loved Skylar and Connor's relationship development and the respect they both have for each other.

Caitlin's books are always a feel-good time and I know if I need a cheer up and just a happy read; I can look to Caitlin to give me that.

Thank you, Caitlin, for the opportunity to read this eARC!

Connor Elliot Mendez, the MAN that you are.

Thanks to Caitlin Klassen for the ARC 🍎🍏

I loved this one waaaaaayyyyy better than the first one. This is a fluffy book, with 0 drama about two people falling in love. I can see why I can’t be for everyone, as this is a first-sight love, they fall almost immediately after meeting and it can feel a bit rushed but tbh, it’s perfect for a summer quick read that makes you feel amazing.

Also, Connor Mendez is a man after my heart, I love him so much. He is such a huge green flag. I would do anything for him. If he told me to jump from a bridge, I would ask him which one, at what time and what kind of jump he wants me to do. I am not joking.

I can’t wait for the third book, I really want to read Daisy’s story!

Are you ready to meet the greenest green flag if man ever?! That’s Connor, the MMC! He is literally the best- swoony, funny, caring, loyal, thoughtful, and will do anything for tjr people he cares about! I dare you to find one thing to complain about him!!

Skylar was so fun too- she had been dealt a dirty deal- walking in on her boyfriend cheating in her shirk she came to the big city to visit him…. Then running into a taxi and falling down…. Inly for Connor to pick her up and take her back to his place and make sure she’s okay… and the rest is history 🥰 Skylar is hesitant to jump into a new relationship and trusting a torte man with her heart. But Connor eventually wears her down and they have the kind of relationship people see in movies ❤️ Skylar is also dyslexic, and Connor is the first person to embrace her different ways of learning was too sweet. Connor also has his own trust issues with relationships and women only wanting him for his fame, money etc. He hasn’t been in a relationship in an awhile because of it. But a chance encounter and what seems like fate, have both Connor and Skylar falling hard and fast and learning to trust again.

I loved the whole found family/ team dynamic and how everyone is so supportive of each other! Seeing familiar faces again from the first book ( you used to love me) was the best!

If you love sports (baseball romance) and the greenest flags MMC, and amazing dyslexic rep, pick this book up!

Skylar and Connor were absolutely perfect. The spice was spicing, their banter was off the charts and their love for apples was perfectly put in the book. Skylar and Conner first meet when he arrives to her rescue as a knight in shining armor and their relationship builds from there. From Skylar needing a place to stay for the night to them slowly becoming more and more as time goes on I 100% recommend this quick read.

Don't Forget To Love Me is a cute strangers to lovers inta-love story between Connor and Skylar. She moves to Kansas City to surprise her boyfriends but finds him with her secretary in bed. She runs out of the apartment and into a taxi and then Connor's arms. Both are instantly attracted to the other and he offers her a place to stay. They grow closer as roommates and then more. They fit into each other's lives perfectly.

Solid 4 star. I had such a fun time reading this sports romance novel. I don't know if I've read a little insta-lusty but it's also a slow burn, but I enjoyed it. The pacing was a little strange to me, but probable because it was a fast-paced insta lust, yet slower burn- yet overall, it was smooth. I absolutely loved the way their relationship unfolded! Their romance, their chemistry, and dynamic and how he respected her! Also don't forget that this one felt a lot spicier than her previous books, but maybe because it's been a while since I've read a book by her.

Connor and Skylar's romance was full of sweetness, humor, and genuine warmth, and I quickly fell in love with their relationship. If you’re looking for a feel-good, super sweet romance with a happy ending, this was perfect. I cannot wait to keep reading this series!

I love Caitlin’s books and her writing. Her characters are amazing and after you read her books, you feel like you made a group of new friends. You, Connor Mendez, are my favorite. I really thought Noah was it, sorry Benson, Mr. Mendez came in and took over. If you read You Used to Love Me, then you met Connor as Audrey’s brother and Noah’s best friend. He was amazing as a side character, but he blew my expectations for him as a main character.

Skylar comes to a new city to surprise her boyfriend but she is the one that is surprised when she catches him in a compromising position. She runs away and doesn't know what she’s going to do since her plans have collapsed. In comes Connor when he scopes her up and brings her home. Literally scopes her up, because she was laying on the ground after she collapsed with a parked taxi.

“This isn’t what I expected for my first day in a new city. It feels like I’ve been thrown into some cliché romantic comedy or a tragic thriller.”

These two had chemistry from the beginning and their story took off fast. And I was here for it. It was beautiful to see how fast Connor fell. Connor was so thoughtful, caring, loving, understanding, and just a walking green flag. Skylar decided she was gonna give this arrangement a chance and lead with her heart. Connor surprised Skylar every step of the way. With how generous he was with her, with how accepting he was of her when she revealed some family secrets, and with just how amazing he was. Let’s not forget the ASL moments. Connor is the definition of “if he wanted to, he would” All of these moments made him top notch book boyfriend/husband material.

In a nutshell - apparently a big nutshell because I wrote too much lol - I loved Connor and Skylar’s story. The epilogue was beautiful, I love when we get a look into the future in epilogues. Don’t Forget to Love Me? Oh Connor Mendez, I never will. 🍏

Starting off with a big thank you to this author for sending me an arc. The book releases on the 30th of this month so be sure to check it out! This book follows Skylar and Conner who have a little meet-cute after Skylar collides with a taxi on her first day in a new city. Baseball star, Connor comes swooping in to rescue her, even giving her a place to stay after some unforeseen circumstances leave Skylar at a loss. What was meant to be a temporary stay ends up becoming much more as the pair fall in love (quite fast I must add).

This book was a quick read – easily doable in one sitting. If I’m being completely honest, I’m not sure if this book was for me. I’m not a big fan of the insta-love trope. I really loved Connor’s character, he had such a big golden retriever energy and he was so thoughtful and caring towards Skylar. Skylar on the other hand had me questioning some of her decisions – like who tf goes and sleeps in a stranger's bed?? While the book did have it’s cute awehh moments, I felt like it had too much packed in there to make it all fit the Booktok trend (small town girl x bigshot athlete, she moves in with him after knowing him for like ten minutes, she magically gets the job at the library, her dad who isn’t comfortable around anyone loves Connor, he builds her a library and buys her a ton of books, etc.). I also didn’t really understand the point of having Skylar’s ex make more appearances throughout the book – there was very very little conflict (him making offhanded comments) but nothing really came from it? If you like insta-love books, this would be a perfect fit for you. I have also read The Foundation series by this author and absolutely loved it so I would recommend checking that one out as well.

🍏 ⚾️ 📚 eARC Review 📚⚾️🍏
Release date: July 30 🗓️
Spice: 3

When Skylar’s surprise visit ends in heartbreak, she finds herself stranded and humiliated in a new city. Enter Connor, a star athlete with a heart, who offers her shelter in her moment of crisis. What begins as a temporary arrangement slowly transforms into a deeper connection neither of them saw coming. What was supposed to be a temporary place to stay turns into something much bigger than either of them could have expected. Suddenly, “Don’t forget to put the ice cream in the freezer this time” turns into “Don’t forget to love me.”

Where do I even begin! After reading You Used to Love Me, I couldn’t wait to get Connor’s story; and Caitlin did not disappoint. Connor might just be my new book boyfriend ✨🫶🏼 the way he and Skylar instantly connected drew me in, and the banter, romance & spice (ummm a moment for the bathtub pls 🛁🥵) just sealed the deal. I love the deeper themes that are portrayed during the book, and also getting to see previous characters again (hello Audrey & Noah 🫶🏼) was perfect (this is my favourite thing in series that aren’t directly connected).

I connected with Sky on her dyslexia and her love for books & the struggles to read. I also struggled with reading & pronunciation when I was younger (honestly sometimes I still do) and had to have help to read. It was hard, and embarrassing, and something I don’t share a lot. Because of this representation in the book, I feel now is the time to share that. 🥰

Thank you for the opportunity to have an eARC of your book, Caitlin 🫶🏼 I’m honoured!!

Now I’m off to make Skylar’s apple pie and peanut butter cookies!

After a streak of angsty romances, this book was the perfect palate cleanser! A fast-paced, one-sitting kind of read, this instalove romance gave me exactly the light, swoony break I needed.

Poor Skylar—she left her small town to be with her (now ex) boyfriend, only to walk in on him with his pants down. Literally. Down on her luck, fate intervenes and she ends up staying at a stranger’s house (don’t worry, not a murderer—she checked). Her unexpected savior? A local baseball star with charm to spare and the world’s best timing.

Connor is the definition of a perfectly written book boyfriend. Charm? Check. Pro athlete? Check. Swoony hero who steps in to save the day? Check. Golden retriever energy? Absolutely. He had me falling for him in no time—bonus points for those baseball pants!

One of my favorite parts? There’s no third-act breakup. Connor and Skylar are just so cute together. Their relationship is healthy, sweet, and full of honest communication. It was refreshing to read about a couple that worked with each other instead of being torn apart by miscommunication or unnecessary drama.

If I had one tiny critique, it’s that I actually wish the book had… less. (I know, I know—hear me out!) Because the story moves so quickly, it’s packed with tropes and jumps straight into instalove, which may not be for everyone. Personally, I would’ve loved a bit more time for the relationship to breathe.

This was my first book by Caitlyn, and definitely not my last. I’ll absolutely be recommending it to anyone looking for a sweet, fast, feel-good romance.

From the very first page, Caitlin’s writing welcomes you like a warm hug. Her storytelling is radiant—full of emotional depth, irresistible charm, and characters who feel like cherished friends. She makes you feel like you’re living inside the story.

Skylar and Connor’s journey lingers in your heart long after the final chapter. When Skylar’s world begins to unravel, Connor offers more than shelter—he gives her safety, compassion, and a quiet, enduring love that blossoms with breathtaking grace.

Connor is the book boyfriend of dreams—gentle yet strong, thoughtful yet irresistibly charming. He anchors the story with quiet steadiness, proving that sometimes, love finds us when we need it most. And Skylar, with her sassiness, vulnerability and strength, is radiant in her journey toward love and trust. Together, they share a bond that feels tender, real, and utterly enchanting.

Together, they build something extraordinary—soft and sturdy, messy and magical. This romance is stitched together with everyday sweetness and soul-deep connection.

Caitlin’s gift lies not only in her ability to write love stories, but in crafting stories that are like safe havens in written form. Her writing is stunning, her characters unforgettable, and her ability to make readers feel all the feels is downright magical. If you’re craving a story that’ll make you melt, laugh, and swoon all at once, then make sure to grab a copy!

Skylar is moving to a new city to follow her boyfriend and get out of her small town. Until she opens his door and finds him cheating on her when she is supposed to move in. As she’s running out of the apartment, she runs into a parked taxi and causes yet another scene. Until someone comes over and picks her up off the ground to make sure she is okay.

Connor Mendez has a lot going on at the moment, including that he is the pitcher for a team in the World Series coming up this week, but he couldn’t let this poor girl lay in the street anymore. He sees she is with her suitcases as well as has a panicked look on her face, so he invites her back to his place to get her bearings. One afternoon turns into her staying the night, and he invites her to stay with him until she gets her footing.

She has an interview coming up at a local library, since she was moving here to be with her ex, and since the taxi accident, Conner has been nothing but the perfect gentleman, almost like he was pulled directly out of a Hallmark movie. The two start spending more and more time together, after the World Series is over, and the spark is instant between the two.

I was so excited to get into Connor and Skylar’s book! I loved the first one in the series, and this one didn't disappoint either. I’m not always a fan of the instalove trope, but this book did it so right. Caitlin Klassen’s books are always the perfect romance palette cleanser!

Thank you to Caitlin for the ARC opportunity!

✨ ARC Review ✨

Thank you to Caitlin Klassen for the ARC, it is such a joy to read all of your stories, thank you for ALL of them!

YESSSSS! So happy that Connor got his own book! AND OMG! 💖 I am going to go straight to the point. LOVED IT!

Connor is the greenest of green flags, he is gentle, affectionate, protective... I am not well...because the beautiful ache that is to see how he also roots for Skylar, the way he sees her, shows up for her, uffff it is just everything really.

Skylar (literally) hits rock bottom, and falls right into Connor's orbit, and let me tell you, the banter gave me butterflies, I found their chemistry immediate, the payoff was so worth the wait, the apple theme was adorable and so thoughtfully woven into their story.

This story is soft, it's healing, it's about being seen, being loved, and finding joy in unexpected places. I smiled a lot, and honestly, I would read an entire series about Connor alphabetizing Skyler's bookshelf and making her snacks.

✨ Tropes & Themes:

🍏Strangers to lovers
🍎Forced proximity / roommates
🍏He falls first
🍎No third-act breakup 🙌
🍏Dual POV
🍎Soft hero energy
🍏Found family vibes
🍎Disability rep

Don’t Forget to Love Me was cozy, romantic, and left me smiling. Definitely recommend it, if you love a feel good romance story!

P.S: DAISY needs a book too! OMG! <3 haha :)

Reading is subjective. Thoughts are my own.

Once again, Caitlin did not disappoint. After reading the first book in the series, I knew I needed Connor's book ASAP. And, to be honest, he was everything I expected PLUS a few surprises. Everything about this book was such a feel good, easy, fun read that you literally couldn't help but just smile the whole time reading Connor and Skylar's dynamic. Everything about the two was so sweet (iykyk), and while I haven't read many books with the instant love attraction, I think this one was so well done!

IT'S A FUN, LIGHT HEARTED READ WHICH I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ!!

Anyway, while this book releases later on in July, I can't say too much without spoilers, but I will say this book will make you feel happy, swoony, and overall love the green flag of a man that Connor is. Also, Skylar's confidence??? Character growth??? I just love the way she interacts with everyone else in Connor's life that, once again, I am at a loss for words.

PLUS, I ate up all the scenes with some special cameos in the book ;)

Thank you to the author for this eARC! I can't wait for book 3, but just know I was truly savoring my moments with this book. If you can find everyone a Connor, please let the folks know and duplicate that man 100 times because he was *chefs kiss*. I love sharing my opinion with others, and if you read this book, I hope to read your thoughts as well!

“In a stadium of over thirty thousand people, somehow it feels like it’s just me and her.”

Synopsis✨
Skylar thought showing up in a new city and surprising her boyfriend would be a good idea, until she caught him with his pants down—literally. In an attempt to flee, she ends up colliding with a taxi, landing on her back in the middle of the street. With no place to go and strangers crowding her space, she finds herself alone and overwhelmed.
On the verge of another World Series win, Connor swoops in to rescue a stranger on her worst day. He never imagined that getting a pretty girl out of the rain and into his guest room would turn both of their worlds upside down.

Thoughts✨
After reading “You Used To Love Me” I knew I had to read Connor’s story! This book did not disappoint. Connor is a top tier book boyfriend and he gives all the green flags (and apples) Of course I also love our book girlie Skylar! Their chemistry and banter was great. Super sweet with some spice added in (bathtub scene, I’m looking at you!)

I also love to see the love and representation for dyslexia and autism! Overall, this was a fast and fantastic read. I’m looking forward to reading more from Caitlin! Thank you to the author for the arc!

What To Expect:
🩷He Falls First
🩷Sports Romance (Baseball!!)
🩷Strangers to Lovers

Connor and Skylar are just the cutest pair of sweethearts!
Five words to describe the adorableness: Apples, ASL, Books x31, Baseball, Taxi's

Caitlin has found a way to make a nearly instalove not feel cheesy, but feel so full of care and respect. Connor helps Skylar when she needs it most, but she does it right back in a way he's never felt before. They are both smitten, but are sure to not just live in the fantasy. Skylar looks for a job, and Connor ensures that Skylar truly has a place in his home and life, letting her have her quiet reading time, and building her a library.

The family aspect in this book is also beautiful, with supportive sassy parents all around, Connor and Skylar are surrounded with support. Connor was also very caring with Skylars dad, learning some ASL to meet him where he was comfortable.

Trey must of course be mentioned, Caitlin is great at writing hateable side characters, and Trey is definitely in the running for the "Caitlin Klassen villain Mount Rushmore". Skylar is a wonderful person, and he did not deserve her!

I am a big "what happens next" person, so these interconnected stories are great for me to see Audrey and Noah's next step, along with maybe a sneak peek of book 3? Can't wait for the final piece of the series!
