Thanks for the buddy read, Adam.
We just did a quick read to see if this book deserves such a low overall rating.

I'm tempted to say it isn't bad, but a plot that should probably be a full novel with lots of character development is shortened to a meeting, sex and I love yous at the end, which had me cringe a bit.

Technically, the writing is pretty good. It should be much longer, though, and give room for things to unfold instead of a HUGE instalove concept that is just an excuse for a sex scene involving a ten inch penis :-))

Oh, the plot. Slave Theo shall bring a gladiator to his master. He goes to find the gladiator and has sex with him instead.
Yeah.

[Buddy read with Martin]

The book wasn't as bad as I expected it to be based on the ratings. The writing was actually decent, the problem lies with the actual story. It's redolent of all the horrible porn plots you've always heard about. If you just read it as plain erotica, it won't be so bad, which was what I did.

Certain parts amused me, like Theo . I actually liked the erotica, despite it being very unrealistic.

I would rate the erotica solely four stars. Storywise, I would give it a 1-2 stars. However, the writing was good enough to keep me reading and the quality of the story only plummeted just before the erotica. By then on, I could just finish the story from there. Overall, I would give this
