Nicole Parker has done it again and by "it," I mean made me laugh out loud in public like an unhinged goblin with zero regrets. Bucket of Fun is exactly what the title promises: pure chaos, charm, and comedy, all neatly tied up in a ridiculously entertaining story that I absolutely devoured.
I honestly believe Nicole is genetically incapable of writing a bad book. Science should study her. This book had me giggling, snorting, and muttering “omg stop” every five minutes and by stop, I obviously mean don’t ever stop. The characters are iconic, the dialogue is gold, and the quotes? Chef’s kiss. I’ll be sharing some of my faves in another post because they deserve their own spotlight.
If you're looking for a serotonin boost in book form, Bucket of Fun is it. 10/10 recommend if you like laughter, joy, and being slightly obsessed with fictional people.

What a fun start to the Treasure Trove series! Of course we had some fun with Kyle but overall this one was amazing. I am so excited to see where Nicole takes us next.

This book is exactly what the title promises—an absolute bucket of fun. Because of course the bucket’s name is “Master Pail.” Sure, Nicole, just casually tossing in a little D/s dynamic with your sentient plastic. No notes. From the very beginning, this story leans all the way into the absurd, and I was fully on board. It’s spicy, chaotic, unhinged in the best way, and somehow still packed with heart.
But here’s the kicker: beneath the toy shop shenanigans and the brain-melting MMF scenes (seriously, so hot!!!), there’s actual emotional depth here. The characters are colorful, distinct, and impossible to ignore—Kyle was there bringing all the heat and turning the dial to eleven on the sexy chaos scale. I don’t know how you manage to write a story about a dominant sentient bucket and sexually liberated characters that somehow still feels grounded in real connection. But this is one!
As the first book in a new series, this sets the tone perfectly. I have no idea what’s coming next, but I know I’ll be there for every second of it.

Garrett’s return after Faulty was everything I hoped for. His toy shop/sentient sex club is somehow absurd and believable all at once. Chloe’s curiosity and the chemistry between them pulled me right in. And when Master Pail entered the scene? Let’s just say I was not prepared. And of course, Kyle pops in with his signature chaotic charm and somehow manages to make the whole thing feel even more grounded.
This was short, filthy, and genuinely delightful. I wanted this to be 5 times longer so we could see more of what goes on in the Treasure Trove. I can’t wait to see what the Treasure Trove offers next. Thank you to Nicole Parker for an ARC copy to review!

As much as I love the Kyleverse, I'm really looking forward to the Treasure Trove series! I love the glimpses of Garrett that we've gotten in the Kyleverse, and I'm so excited to be able to explore more with him and Chloe!
Seeing Kyle being the wrecked one in the scene was a treat, too. Usually, he's so suave and in control with the sentient objects, and it was really fun to see the shoe be on the other foot for a change. I liked the introduction to the club and am excited to learn about the new characters that sneakily slipped in.
Am I the only one who desperately needs to know what Garrett tastes like??? Kyle out here doing the Lord's work, but my dude, SHARE WITH THE CLASS 😂 thank God for Chloe and her curiosity

I have no words and so many words all at once for how much I loved this book! I always have such a fun time when I read a Nicole Parker masterpiece. Bucket of Fun is part of the treasure trove series which is a spin off of the Kyleverse so you get some more backstory to the characters you’re seeing during the Kyleverse and I cannot say much without spoiling it all so I won’t.
I can however tell you how this book will make you feel… with emojis 🤭😝🪣😱🤯👀👁️🫠🙃😏💦👋🏻🤙🏻🙌🏻
I will not even explain what that means it’s an inside joke between me and the book. Bucket of Fun is being released June 13th as I always say if you want a good time GO READ THESE BOOKS and as Liza Minnelli once said, “sometimes your best friend isn’t a person, sometimes your best friend is an inanimate object” 😘

When I say that I absolutely adore this series… I mean it.
Did I think that I needed a sentient object smex club in my life… nope.
Will I ever look at said childhood toy the same ever again… also nope.
My thoughts:
-Once again Author Nicole Parker has outdone herself… I mean seriously her brain sounds like a super fun place lol
-I was super excited to read more about some familiar characters.
-Another childhood toy has fallen victim and I ain’t even mad about it
-Despite all the spice there’s still a sweet little love story worked in there
-The flavors always seem to surprise me… and I actually always get super excited to see what this author comes up with for it!
-And Kyle… oh Kyle… we all could use a friend like him.

Why was this so fun?! I feel like I've entered the multiverse, not just the Kyleverse!
When I read Faulty I really hoped to see Garrett again! Boy am I glad he reappeared, with his sentient toy mastermind, consider me FED!
Above all he seems really genuinely kind and I must say, all of Nicoles MMC's, whether they are objects, devils, humans or otherwise are all committed to practising their kinky fun in the safest and most considerate of ways, and thats the kind of writing I am here for.
I think I keep coming back for Nicoles writing style, I was literally squealing and kicking my feet upon being introduced to Master Pail, I do enjoy the smutty fun, but it's Nicole who truly keeps drawing me in.
Bonus points for Keggie 👀

Bucket of Fun by Nicole Parker brought back characters from her book Faulty, which was really nice because it explained a lot about how Flurbo was sentient. It also gave us an insider look into Garrett’s top secret work in progress, that happens to be in the basement of the toy store!
Nicole did another great job at writing such a hilariously unhinged sentient object romance. I honestly really liked how this one gave us a look at Garrett’s side of things and his magic. It was super cool to have that piece of the puzzle!
I 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves sentient object romances. I would highly recommend reading Faulty first. But at the same time you don’t really HAVE to. It just adds more to the story! Either way, I definitely recommend!

How could I give this anything less than 5 stars?!
This was a goddamn masterpiece
Not just another one in the Kyelverse where Kyle was SERVING Kylergy and him having a praise kink and being called a GOOD BOY!! Yeah that was the shit I needed him being a total simp for master Pail.
This is a whole ass freaking multiverse and I am here for it.
The happy scream I screamed when I saw Garrett re entering the kyleverse was unmatched.
After Faulty I desperately needed more and HE DID NOT disappoint.
Let me tell you I can’t wait to find out was else she has in store for us.
Because with the toy sex dungeon we got just introduced to I am patiently awaiting more.

I absolutely loved this extended version of the story from the Strange Love Anthology. Garret’s dream of opening a s3x club featuring sentient toys gets an exciting test run with Kyle and Chloe. The concept of Mr. Bucket as a dom with self-lubricating, interlocking balls was wildly creative and led to some seriously spicy fun for this trio. Loved the cameos of characters from other Kyleverse stories and looked forward to more from the Treasure Trove!

This story truly was a "bucket of fun"! It was so cute to get to see Chloe and Garrett come together after everything with Flurbo! And then starting things off with a new sentient pail definitely spiced things up for the duo and Kyle!
I loved getting to know more about Garrett and his ideas for the kinky and fun residents of the town! A sentient toy shop with literal rooms for fun sounds like a great time and I can't wait to see what fun is had there in the future!

If I tried to explain to you why I have feelings about a sentient object sex club you simply wouldn’t get it. It seems silly but I hold this whole series so near and dear to my heart. Yes it’s silly but it’s also so engaging and I can’t wait to see what Nicole comes up with next. We still, as always, stan Kyle and we also stan Garrett. The queen of sentient object romance has done it again! Nicole Parker pulled off making a Pail sound like a really good time. As Chloe is introduced to Garrett’s Treasure Trove, she has the experience of a lifetime involving Ben Wa balls. This read was colorful and exciting, and Kyle had his own fun as always! The Kyleverse is magical, lighthearted, and it’s such a good escape. I absolutely loved Bucket of Fun and would highly recommend!

Ate this book up!! I love the Kyleverse series and this little spin-off is just as good. Spicy af with their Master Pail, Garret, Kyle, and Chloe had a fun time. I’m interested to see what Bex has in store for her in the future with her new “side effects”

As I told Nicole when I slide into her DM's like a creep, I just want to walk around in her brain and see everything.
This was a great read. I am thoroughly loving how this entire series is unfolding and each book I just become more and more invested.
Also at the end of this I feel like I need a Kyle, tell-all, memoir, cause his life is absolutely WILD.

Chloe & Garretts' first unconventional date takes a spicy turn, and of course, Kyle is there to chaperone. We get to meet Master Pail, a bossy bucket that you'll definitely want to be good for. AND Bex pops in to give Garrett a piece of her mind, which has O-mazing results.
