Rate this book
The scandal didn’t break them. But this retreat might.

Hallie Brighton thought the worst was behind them.

After surviving a PR scandal and rebuilding trust, Hallie and Barrick take on their next big launching a luxury wellness retreat designed to shape Barrick's public brand and his personal story. But the desert isn’t the only thing heating up. With shared rooms, long days, and mounting pressure from every angle, their off-limits attraction turns into something neither of them can ignore.

Just as Hallie starts to believe in a future where love and strategy can coexist, everything they've built is put at risk when a private piece of Barrick's past is leaked. The media swarms, the retreat flounders, and Barrick vanishes without warning—leaving Hallie to pick up the pieces alone.

This time, it's not just about saving his brand. It's about figuring out if the truth can survive the spotlight.

If you crave forced proximity, high-stakes passion, and heartache that simmers into something real, Keep Spinning will keep you up all night. Perfect for fans of quiet intensity, emotional wreckage, and the slow rebuild after everything falls apart.

As much as I appreciated getting to know Barrick more in book 2 than we did in #1, I dont necessarily believe we needed it split in 2 books, versus all in one. Especially because of the page count and that the big stressor here almost mirrors that of book ones. Regardless of the sense of Deja Vu, author has paragraphs written beautifully and with such emotion about the PTSD Barrick lives with, and how it affects all relationships in your life not just your own life, if gone untreated. Therapy, yay! It works and thankfully author supports this ave of treatments. Losing a star for dividing into 2 books.

Keep Spinning is the continuation of Hallie and Barrick story from Spin This. They survived the scandal and now they have to find a way to work together that won’t affect their relationship. A wonderful story where love shines!

L.C. Reagan’s Keep Spinning is a beautifully layered retreat romance that blends emotional intimacy, career ambition, and quiet self-discovery with a refreshing tenderness. At its heart is Hallie Brighton, a sharp, overachieving PR strategist whose carefully curated life begins to unravel—and transform—when she falls for Barrick Wassweiler, a former military man turned wellness instructor. What begins as a romance set in a high-powered New York City backdrop becomes something far deeper: a meditation on healing, trust, and building something real, together.

The narrative unspools gently, grounding readers in Hallie and Barrick’s shared life—one full of quiet mornings, professional ambitions, and emotionally loaded decisions. When Barrick receives a life-changing offer to turn his story into a book and retreat series, the couple must navigate not only the logistics of branding a personal journey, but also the emotional vulnerability that comes with turning lived trauma into public narrative.

Reagan’s writing shines in its restraint. Every moment—whether it's a meaningful silence between the couple or a high-stakes pitch meeting—feels intentional. The romance between Hallie and Barrick is slow-burn but deeply satisfying. Their chemistry is palpable, not just in their physical intimacy but in the way they show up for each other emotionally. Hallie’s sharp wit and Barrick’s quiet steadiness are a perfect match, and Reagan does an excellent job of showing two people learning to trust not only each other but themselves.

The professional backdrop—complete with brand strategy meetings, influencer culture, and internal politics—feels authentic and never overshadows the romance. Instead, it enhances it, adding weight to every choice they make. The scenes involving Hallie’s PR work and Barrick’s retreat planning are among the most compelling, showcasing how love and ambition can coexist when handled with care.

Keep Spinning is a compelling, grown-up romance that explores what it means to build a future with someone—not despite your baggage, but with full acknowledgment of it. With richly drawn characters, crackling dialogue, and moments of real emotional depth, this is a love story you’ll want to sit with, savor, and maybe even return to. It’s not just about falling in love—it's about choosing each other, over and over, even when it’s hard.

When I started this book want sure where it would leave off with Barrick and Hallie. But now they are still in each other lives and there is discussion of a retreat based on barrick and his brand and back story, but before barrick pulls the trigger he wants more information, he doesn’t want to share more than he is willing to especially since he still keeps parts hidden. After several discussion with the company that came up with this deal he decides to take it. He is finally opening up to Hallie but not before he opens up to Merlin who is a ghost writer through the same company that gave the idea for the retreat. Hallie has certain type of feelings how he is going about this and lets him know how she is feeling but the way she expresses herself ultimately pushed the progress they made together backwards. There is tension but finally they come back together and move past this. BUT then the journaling from this retreat is leaked to the media and barrick is all over this and he is terrified for others to see such sacred pieces of him.

He does the only thing he is good at and retreats, finally when Hallie believes someone will stay her whole world tumbles down and she is so broken. But have no fear, barrick comes to his senses and finally shares the book that has been in the making and lets Hallie know that he is still here, she makes him come home and things are explained as to why the actions were the way it happened and barrick is working on communicating and going to therapy to work on his past traumas, and Hallie is grateful to him for explaining and sharing at that he did with her. Now they are ready to move past this and start the partnership they have always had, but now with Lucy is toe who is barricks daughter.

Keep Spinning: A Steamy Retreat Romance by L.C. Reagan is the second book in The Off-Limits Series, and I really liked that it continues the story of the same couple—Barrick & Hallie 💕. Most romance series I’ve read usually switch to a new couple, so it felt refreshing to stick with them and watch their relationship grow.

In this one, Barrick gets the opportunity to run his own wellness retreat 🌿. Of course, things don’t go exactly as planned, and the retreat ends up testing their relationship all over again 😅.

What stood out to me most was the character growth—not just for Barrick, but for Hallie too. One of my favorite quotes was when someone told Hallie: “But you have to be clear on whether you’re protecting him—or your own version of him.” That line really hit me because it’s so true in real relationships—we often project who we think someone should be instead of supporting who they truly are. 💭❤️

This was an easy and enjoyable read 📖✨. Personally, I would have liked a little more spice 🔥, but overall it was still a really good story and I definitely recommend it. Can’t wait to see where the series goes next!

I wasn’t sure how to feel about this at the start. After reading spin this I couldn’t help but be a little scared of what this book had to bring. Where’s their happy ever after? Anyway. I’ll admit I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first book, it was a bit repetitive for me but had a great message. I felt Hallie’s arc was slow but meaningful and Barrick also made his own strides. I was a bit confused about what was actually happening for half the book, like were they actually dating or no? Did Barrick agree to the book? I also would have liked some more of Barrick’s backstory as that was a big part of the story and it was harder to empathise with him without this. I got the gist but it would have been nice to have something tangible. Regardless, I think this was a good sequel and provided both our mcs with satisfying endings. Likely a hard read for those with past traumas and struggles, but also freeing.

This was complex, and very hard to read knowing that someone would be in pain…

Barrick, to me wasn’t likeable in this one. He was shutting her out, and treated her pretty badly. Then daring to shut down on her when she tried to help. It felt manipulative to me, and she was being gaslight into blaming herself for all of the problems.

I wish this was more of a romance cementing their relationship, becuase about 90% of the book was about tearing it down with her folding under his non-existent grovel.

Still, it was an engrossing read, I just didn’t like the direction that the characters went.

This one was passable as the second book. It didn't wow me as much as the first book , but I am sure there will be others out there that will enjoy it more than me.
