Kissin' Hell: A That Old Black Magic Story

Rate this book
There are two certainties in life soul collector and hellhound Jericho Stryker knows too well—Death never takes a holiday, and women are typically more trouble than they’re worth. That goes double for his personal nemesis and regular pain in his backside, Lola McKenna. Sure, the luscious little hellcat gets his blood boiling in more ways than one, but some scratches are best left un-itched. That determination is strained to the max when a botched soul acquisition job lands him on the same case as Lola.

Fetching a stubborn soul from a haunted bordello should be a piece of cake. Unfortunately for Lola, she has to deal with Jericho horning in on her bounty. Attempting to keep her cool and her wits around her sinfully sexy adversary? Easier said than done. Especially when she finds herself locked overnight with Jericho. Not strangling him before sunrise? A faint possibility. Ignoring the lusty, depraved sexual fantasies he awakens in her? A snowball’s chance in hell of happening. But worst of all is the very real possibility that he could steal the one thing she most fears losing to him—her heart.

This Halloween, something sinfully wicked is coming your way. Give yourself a Red Hot Treat this fall with ten spine-tingling stories sure to warm up your night. Scary just got sexy with Kissin' Hell, part of the Red Hot Treats multi-author series (stands alone for reading enjoyment).

At the ripe age of seven, I penned my first epic, complete with stick figure illustrations. Sadly, my drawing skills haven't improved much, but my love of creating fantasy worlds is still going strong.
Yep, I still love writing about fairies, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures, only my stories pack a little more heat these days.

I currently reside in Michigan with my husband and overgrown lapdog. I'm a member of Romance Writers of America and Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America.

When I'm not writing or working the day job, I'm usually tinkering in the garden (weather permitting) or drooling over those smokin' hot Winchester Brothers from Supernatural. Strictly for research purposes, of course.

I'll be the first to stand up and announce (loudly) that Jodi Redford's That Old Black Magic series makes me grin like a loon. It should go without saying I'm smitten with her writing. And this book? Hit the spot. My only complaint is that I would have loved to spend more time with the growly hellhound and his hissing hellcat lady friend.

BUT I'LL TAKE WHAT I CAN GET!

(But let me go on record as saying I want MOAR, Redford. MOAR! You know what shapeshifting sexy men do to me!)

Right. So. Jericho and Lola. They sure like needling one another. Evoking passionate responses is such a fun past time, isn't it? It's even better when the passionate responses involve kissing. And touching. And sexy times in a haunted bordello. Niiiiiice!

Being such a hardcore sucker for sassy leading ladies and surly heroes, I adored being back in this world. Soul collectors and snark. There's nothing better!

The thing that I love about the books that I have read by Jodi so far is that they are quick and to the point. I like it when a book doesn't drag on and makes me wonder what's going to happen especially in a short story. This was a book that had me laughing at the witty comebacks and cheering for the bad guy and the girl. This was a completely different story from most of what I read and that made this more enjoyable. I look forward to reading the other books in this series to see what all happens and how they all play out.

I really liked Jericho and Lola, this is a funny kinky story, i had never read erotic supernatural stories before, probably they are not my cup of tea but I have to admit that i truly like Jody Redford’s style. This is the kind of short story that is perfect for a rainy afternoon at home :)

Kissin Hell

Funny, sexy and an easy quick read. This author's books always make you smile. Crazy how a hellhound and a hellcat manage to work together, although reluctantly. Loved it!!

This was a quick but funny read with lots of sexual innuendo and hilarious characters. I really enjoyed it and will have to look for more by this author. It was NOTHING like what I expected which made it even more entertaining.

Jericho Stryker, a hell dog, and Lola McKenna, a hell cat, prove that opposites attract. These two have been fighting their attraction for one another since they met and when they are forced to work together, they just may be forced to admit their powerful attractions.

This book is a quick read that is full of sexual tension, that when it finally happens, you're filled with joy. Jericho and Lola share witty banter and their blatant antagonism helps build the anticipation for what every romance reader knows is coming.

Jericho is a hellhound and Lola is a hellcat, both soul collectors, they are arch enemies but the chemistry between them is drawing them together.
A botched job, losing a soul which may have very serious consequences means they are put on an assignment together, will they give in to their desires ?
This book took me a little while to understand their world, a fairly short steamy book with two very hot characters an enjoyable read.

Ghost Hunters Fighting Love and True Mate

Jericho and Lola go head to head capturing spirits or ghosts. They also fight their electric chemistry that spark from just holding hands. Really a different story line....one I have never read before and that made this very interesting! Not sure how Ms. Redford came up with it but it works! Great short read with some thrown in steamy sex scenes! I would love to have a man like Jericho!

Short...

Short, but sweet. Or okay sweet may be the wrong word... hot is probably more accurate. I'd have given another star or two if it had taken longer than an hour to read
