Such stark beauty amongst many of these poems. This collection has become an old favourite. And one of my favourite writers just happens to be a local Melbourne man.
There's immediacy and 'surface' to his work; then there are workings going on beneath them: like reality and dream overlaying and complimenting one another. Finger-printless and effortless. Beautiful work.
