The Outgunned Adventure core rulebook contains all the basic rules needed to play pulp adventures using the acclaimed Director’s Cut rules engine used in Outgunned.

I liked it. The tone’s bang on—punchy, pacey, perfect for high-action pulp and two-fisted cinematic chaos. But the mechanics lean so far toward “you got this” that the danger feels more like decoration than threat. There’s style and atmosphere, but I’m left wondering where the bite is when success feels like the default state. The business of grit and the Death Roulette feel tagged on. Great at what it does, just not what I’m looking for.

Fantastic spin on the TTRPG genre. This mashes up Indiana Jones, Dungeons & Dragons, and Yahtzee and spits out memorable stories. Not perfect, but close enough.
