Focus 10: Mind Awake/Body Asleep

Rate this book
Based on the work of the renowned out-of-body explorer Robert Monroe, this short guide (approx. 25 pages) provides a detailed description of the Focus 10 state, including methods and techniques on how to reach this state, otherwise known as Mind Awake/Body Asleep. The techniques can be used in conjunction with Hemi-Sync Technology and the Gateway Experience from the Monroe Institute in order to more easily achieve the Focus 10 state – a state that is conducive to having out-of-body experiences, but many other altered states and perceptions as well. A follow-up guide on Focus 12 is forthcoming this year.

Good basic summary of Focus 10

I have been practicing Robert Monroes methods ffor a time and lately I have been wondering how to recognize focus 10. Since nobody in my close circle practice the techniques it is difficult to compare. This essay help me to have a perspective from someone who is experienced in the subject and I really appreciated.

Very detailed and interesting book. Provides a lot of insight on a Focus that is normally considered almost automatic. Usually people interested in OBE skip the details of this entrance gate which if mastered, can provide a solid background for further deepening into more advanced levels.

Great explanation of the “Focus 10” state of consciousness (a.k.a., mind awake / body asleep) coined by Robert Monroe in his Hemi-Sync program.

If you have read the books and tried

this modern and personal perspective will guide you to where you almost got on your own. Familiarity with Monroe story and methodology required.

Very concise and clear to follow. The process, and that's what it seems entail as opposed to happenstance,is broken down into

descreit steps that seem doable. It's the least mystical, most level headed approach to the subject I have ever come across.

Well done focus 10 reference. This is a great starter for meditation and lucid dreaming as well. I wish I had this as a reference years ago.

This is a very short "book" but it helped me with some blocks I was having regarding OBE's. I would recommend it if you're a neophyte in that area but want to explore more.
