"The Ski Troops" By Hal Burton is a good book about the history of the 10th Mountain Division.

Hal goes through the history of skiing from Europe to America and highlights key people who made skiing possible in America. From training in the Rockies and fighting in WW2, the book has history on it all. It displays the conflict of many people trying to keep skiing out of America and its army. Hal and the members of his troop are strong and confident people who bring skiing history together.

I liked that he developed the idea of skiing in America slowly and didn't leave out any detail. And his imagery of war made the story feel alive. Although, it became very disorganized and jumped around in the last half of the book. Lastly, some areas of the book lost my attention.
