Bitter. That was how I felt when I found out my husband of seven years had been lying to me. Not just lying, but out here creating life with another bitch half my age. Making whole damn kids while I was at home injecting hormones and crying into pregnancy tests that never turned pink. That shit didn’t just break me. It rewired me. I wouldn’t never be the same. One crash out, a fucked-up apartment, a stab wound that wasn’t even mine, and a weekend in jail later, the change was solid. I came out a new woman. Not the soft kind, because that bitch died inside me somewhere. More like the kind that don’t take shit no more. Especially not from my soon-to-be ex-husband, Zamir. At 38, I realized time was no longer something I could afford to waste on heartbreak disguised as love and potential. It was time to let go, stop playing shit safe and reclaim every piece of me that he tried to bury under all his lies and betrayal. But sometimes you can move on too fast. Especially when you’re unhealed and still chasing a dream while watching your internal clock. I wanted something new. I prayed to the Universe for it. I even cried over it. Then right on time, I met him. And baby, the Universe must’ve had the darkest sense of humor because what I found wasn’t just new. That shit felt dangerous, addictive, and unholy. With a past even darker than mine...
“Jawn” means anything it needs to mean at any time. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s get to it. Nycole B is an independent Author from Philadelphia. Making her way onto the Urban Fiction scene she released a compelling short series titled Legacy of a Good Girl Gone Bad. As a writer she thrives to tell thrilling stories while teaching valuable lessons. She hopes you join her on this epic journey she is embracing as a writer. Her only question is, have you read a Nycole B Jawn yet?
This story is told from multiple perspectives, providing readers with insight into the messy lives of various characters. I enjoyed the story. However, I discovered the book categorized under mystery, thriller, and suspense, because that’s what I was in the mood for, yet those elements weren’t present in the book. It reads like urban fiction; therefore, I recommend it to anyone who enjoys urban fiction with chaotic characters.
A slow burn this book is not. HomeWrecked is savage from the jump. Infidelity, murder, social media chaos, tricking, stripping, fighting, and so many secrets. I thought I was diving into a story about a marriage gone wrong with a little drama on the side, but babyyyy, it feels like every character has caught a body or got some serious skeletons in their closet. It’s told from multiple points of view, and let me say, Zamir’s childish ass works my nerves, his side piece Tanielle is a whole clown, Egypt was always deeper than he looked, Shamar too old for the games, and Danesha? UGH! Move better, baby. I need part 2 ASAP!
This book is good the cover got my attention, it was so much going on in the story. The husband need to get his shit together because he fucking up all around the board. I can’t wait for books 2 to come out. So we can find out what happens to everybody in the book. I definitely recommend this to my friends and family is definitely a must read ,I enjoyed the short store🤗
I found this book on FB. I was watching a TikTok done by another reader. Sis did not lie when she said read this book. Warning: a cliffhanger will meet you at the end of this exhilarating read. So let’s talk about the players we have. Denesha, married to Zamir for about 7 years, finds out her lowdown, dirty husband not only cheated but made a baby. And get this, the baby is 4 years old. So what are her options? I’ll take crash out on that ninja for 3000, Alex.
Next, we got Zamir, the lowdown husband. The man is every bit a gaslighter. I mean, the audacity he exuded was absolutely ridiculous. Like, how you think you’re going to convince your wife to raise your side child? Oh, and that little secret he has with Jabril, the BF of Denesha, ’cuz Shamar is diabolical.
OK, let’s talk about player number three Taneille, aka the hoe that is Zamir’s baby mom. There were some aspects where I could empathize with her character, ’cause clearly she’s been through a lot. But other times, I be like, little girl, go sit yourself down, the grown folks are talking.
Last but definitely not least, we have what I like to say is the “Upgrade”, Egypt aka Zane. He may come off calm, but baby, that calm is coming for you.
I really enjoyed getting the different POVs from each player. I called that cliffhanger drop midway into reading, however, reading it was still impactful. Can’t wait for part 2.
So like my good sis said on TikTok—READ THIS BOOK.
Why do I gotta feeling Danesha isn't going to end up with Egypt? I mean, do we even wanna end up with him knowing he's the father of her estranged husband? Uuh, YUCK! Egypt is not book bae, though. it's something about him that was never sitting right with me since he walked onto the scene. His mysterious persona screamed red flag to me, but Danesha was in so much distress that she didn't notice. and ended up"falling in love " with the man. Where they do that at? Anyways, can't wait until part 2.
This book made me want to scroll through this author's entire catalog. HOMEWRECKED, had me on a rollercoaster of emotion. There was a particular chapter that had my mind spiraling from all the action, fear, chaos... And then it came with the Bonnie and Clyde ride. I was thinking, “What?!” I’d never had a story evoke these many emotions out of me within one chapter. It was like a literary climax! This entire book had my undivided attention. Every single chapter was engaging, messy, heart-pounding, eye-popping or brow-furrowing. Excellent! I’m ready for PART 2!
Chile there so much to say and so many emotions . I cant wait for book 2. Im stuck on jabril and Shamar though ugh. i hope Shamar okay like seriously. I could kick Jabril behind right now with his shady crap he been doing. Okay now i have a lot to say but ill leave some out but …. Zamir being Egypt son while also being D ex husband . You can't be leaving me hanging like that sis. Like for real, I was ready to punch some heads through the phone! I need part two like ASAP! This was a twisted, crazy ass story and I loved every second of it. Whew. Read it, you won't be disappointed apart from wanting more!

I can’t wait for books 2 to come out. So we can find out what happens to everybody in the book. This book was so vivid and good!!! I couldn't put it down! I was so invested in this book from beginning to end! I was so hoping there was a part 2 behind it! I can't wait until the next book! This was my first time reading a book by this author, and she has a fan forever! 😀
I NEED A PART 2 BY TOMORROW!!!! I can’t even believe what I just read. My mouth has dropped. The way all of this is intertwined came by surprise to me. This is my second novel by Nycole, I enjoy how she writes her stories. Her plot twist come waaay out of left field. I’m stressed OUWTTT!!
This book was so good and the plot twist at the end was everything! I can’t wait for part II to come out! Oh and s/o to Shamar! Male or female, everyone needs a friend/family like that!
Great read! Bring on part 2. I need to know who’s doing the killing of the women, is Tanielle still alive, will Danesha find out who is Egypt to her husband Zamir and finally where is Shamar! Can’t wait!
This book started out good, it kept you wanted to see how it ended . But at the end it was disappointing! How is it gonna end like that? I mean is it a part 2? So many missing pieces, not enough information! I give this a 3 star
First read for 2026, and out the gate, this was a jaw-dropping banger. With all the twists and turns, I was totally satisfied. Nycole B is a new to me, and I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and dived into this masterpiece.
When I say this book sucked you in from page one it did just that and did not stop until the last page!! Whew the drama surrounding these people is a lot but I cant wait to see how it all plays out!!! Nycole B did that again!!!
This book had me drawn in from page one! The plot just continued to thicken and the ending blew my mind. What’s done in the dark will come to the light, eventually.
The book was messy and all over the place. It took me a while to get into it and just when if sucked me in it ends on a cliffhanger. Guess I’ll wait for part 2.
