A debutante-turned-elite event planner, she built a life around breathtaking galas, whispered exclusives, and the kind of connections money can’t buy. But when her husband’s betrayal turns her into high society’s juiciest scandal, Ebony decides she’s done curating perfection for everyone but herself.
With a high-profile wedding to pull off, a social media following obsessed with her every move, and a no-nonsense life coach reminding her that the real glow-up starts from within, Ebony is ready to write her next chapter—on her own terms. The only thing standing in her way? Lincoln Bridges, the maddeningly meticulous architect overseeing the historic venue she needs to transform. He’s stubborn, insufferably charming, and worst of all, the one man who saw through her marriage before she did.
Their creative clashes reignite old wounds, unfinished business, and the kind of chemistry that once felt inevitable. But in a world where power is played in private lounges, loyalty is measured in invitations, and champagne flows as freely as the gossip, Ebony will have to decide if rewriting her future means making room for something real.
Set in an exclusive world where wealth whispers, bottomless brunches double as battleground boardrooms, and reputation is the ultimate currency, Ebony is about to prove that reinvention isn’t just an option—it’s a luxury she’s finally ready to afford.
Let's just say I'm a little disappointed. And by a little, I mean a lot. Like, lots and lots.
𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕀𝕤 𝔸𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥: ℕ𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕪 𝔼𝕕𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ᯓ★
This book promised juicy drama among the rich and scandalous — and started off strong! Ebony’s husband cheats on her, and the story kicks off with her planning a legendary comeback as a Divorcétante (a clever play on debutante). It’s meant to be her journey of rediscovering herself… and finding love along the way!
The premise?Chef’s kiss. The cover and title?Gorgeous. The reason I picked it up in the first place. The execution? Err... not so impressive.
★ Let’s talk names for a second.
Ebony Grace King Livingston. I'm sorry, what now? Is that one person or a royal lineage? The love interest: Abraham Lincoln— Oops, sorry. Lincoln Bridges. There’s also a girl named Hillary. Yes, I found that pretty HILLARIOUS.
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕎𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 ᯓ★
Okay, I’ll admit: I was vibing with the writing at first. There was something really fun about it. But then… things got confusing. The dialogue took a nosedive into cringeville, and I was getting lost — and not in the good, swept-away-by-the-story kind of way.
𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℝ𝕠𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 ᯓ★
Ebony gives Lincoln a whole list of reasons why they shouldn’t be together (none of which made much sense, by the way), and he—bless him—just smiles through it. Then, literally two paragraphs later, she kisses him. Two days later, they’re a couple. And I was sitting there like… what just happened? Hah?
Lincoln apparently always had feelings for her, and Ebony caught feelings way too fast. It all felt super insta-love, and honestly? I was ready to swoon — I wanted to swoon — but I just… didn’t.
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕝 𝕊𝕙𝕠𝕨𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟 ᯓ★
And the so-called villain? She was built up like this calculating mastermind — always one step ahead. But when the moment came to take her down? It was like the author just flipped a switch and made her dumb. Everything got resolved way too easily. No tension. No clever takedown. No satisfaction.
Honestly, by the end, I was just left confused and underwhelmed.
𝕀𝕟 ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕔𝕝𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 ᯓ★
This had all the right ingredients — drama, high society scandals, a bold heroine on a mission — but somewhere between the clever concept and the actual execution, things just didn’t click for me. What could’ve been sharp and swoony turned out messy and rushed. I wanted to love it. I tried to love it. But sadly, this one just didn’t deliver the sparkle I was promised.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for honest thoughts.
This was an okay read for me. The writing style was a little hard to get into and the drama was too over the top for me. It did enjoy the chemistry between the main characters. Just wish the drama didn't overshadow the romance.
When Ebony’s marriage goes up in flames, she turns the entirety of her focus towards maintaining her elite event planning business and social media platform. But the event she’s currently working on is being held up by Lincoln, the annoyingly charming architect of the building she’s trying to transform. And it doesn’t help that they share immense chemistry and possibilities. But Ebony is focused on working on herself, and adding a new man to the mix is not in her plans. —Jessica Pryde
Mia Heintzelman’s The Divorcetante is a sharp, addictive ride through scandal and second chances, with a slow-burn romance you won’t see coming!
Ebony Grace Livingston is flawed but fierce, smart enough to know her worth, and strong enough to fight for it. Watching her reclaim her throne is nothing short of thrilling as she ditches perfection and takes back control. And the chemistry between her and Lincoln Bridges? It’s tense, layered, and just the right kind of steamy to keep you turning the pages.
Mia once again nails the second chance trope with a story that’s emotional, sophisticated, and deeply satisfying. Set in a world where reputation is currency and reinvention is power, this five-star read is a grown-woman, reclaim-your-power anthem that’s the perfect summer read!
The Divotcentante was a book I knew I would enjoy, I just didn’t realize how much I would love it! I found myself immediately rooting for the main character and hoping for her freedom from the shackles of her awful husband. I loved reading about a successful Black woman who was forced to start again. I would happily read another book from this author!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Mia never misses, and The Divorcétante is another gem in her crown. I’ve always love how she brings her characters to life — layered, vulnerable, and brimming with heart — and Ebony and Lincoln did not disappoint. Their back-and-forth was deliciously sharp, full of heat, tension, and those perfect “just kiss already” moments that keep you turning the pages.
Ebony’s journey from society’s scandal to her own fierce comeback was inspiring, and watching her reclaim her life on her terms was the heart of the story. And Lincoln? Whew. He was infuriating in the best way — the kind of love interest you argue with and fall for. Their chemistry crackled, especially as old wounds and unfinished business gave way to something real.
This book felt like stepping into a world of Black luxury — with all the emotional payoff I love from Mia’s writing. An empowering, steamy, and addictive read!
This is Greenleaf without the pulpit, and Something New without the white guy but all the mess, betrayal, and reinvention you could want.
Huge thanks to NetGalley for the ebook!
Ebony thought she married into a life of luxury and love but behind the gated community and designer labels was a cheating husband and a nightmare of a mother-in-law. When Ebony finally finds the strength to walk away, her hell of a mother-in-law is hellbent on launching a revenge campaign to make Ebony regret ever leaving her golden boy.
Ebony is not the same woman she was ten years ago and reading how she reclaimed her voice, and stop playing nice was chef’s kiss. This is a story of survival, sabotage, and sweet revenge mixed with second chance/ friends to lovers.
Divorcetante a great balance of wedding mayhem, drama, warm family dynamics, dating chronicles, wedding planning mishaps, deeply rooted grudes, flirty banter and Southern charm to make this a fun and airy, perfect for summer read.
Call me crazy but I have an unhealthy obsession with monsters- I mean wretched mothers in law, and this one played the role well 🤭 I loved the added drama!
I liked the romance between Ebony and Lincoln, and they had a good slow burn chemistry that sparked perfectly in the end.
What I enjoyed most was Ebony’s glow up, from the inside. She didn’t let her publicly failed marriage beat her down; instead, moving on and soaring into the best version of herself with the help of good friends and an empowering life coach!
The male narrator’s voice was an ultra deep baritone which is alluring for the character but I found myself slowing down his chapters to understand what he was saying.... the bass in his voice drowned out his words LOL
If you’re looking for a fun read with lovable characters- check this one out 💍
First, thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for the ALC!
The narrators did a fantastic job, and they were perfect for their roles.
I thought this was a cute little read. I think that it started off really good but kind of took a turn in the middle and lost me a bit. I think that Ebonys friends were a great support system for her, and I enjoyed reading about them.
I also think that the main characters were adorable!
I looooooooved this book! omg! I was cheesing, gasping, clutching my pearls from beginning to end.
this is my favorite kind of second chance story where after messing up the first time and reconnecting years later, the couple could care less who's judging or questioning their choices!
they have eyes and other body parts only for each other!
read if you love rich Black folks getting in some messy feel good drama!
Mia Heintzelman’s The Divorcétante—the first installment in The Divatantes series—is a sparkling, binge-worthy romantic comedy that reinvents the Southern debutante trope with modern flair. Centered on Ebony Grace Livingston, a perfectionist event planner navigating post-divorce reinvention, the novel blends wit, heart, and a touch of glamour. Heintzelman’s voice is fresh and engaging, offering a contemporary twist on themes of self-discovery, societal expectations, and the messy joy of second chances. Fans of Emily Henry and The Wedding Planner will find much to love here.
Content and Themes Ebony Grace, raised to embody flawless elegance, must rebuild her life after her marriage crumbles. The synopsis hints at a journey that balances humor and vulnerability as she confronts the gap between her curated persona and her authentic self. Heintzelman explores:
The Performance of Perfection: The pressure of societal and familial expectations, particularly for Black women in elite spaces. Reinvention: The messy, liberating process of starting over. Romantic and Platonic Bonds: The novel promises layered relationships, from swoony love interests to fierce friendships (the “Divatantes”).
Strengths Voice and Humor: Heintzelman’s prose crackles with sharp one-liners and relatable introspection. Character Depth: Ebony Grace’s evolution from “flawless” to human feels ripe for emotional resonance. Atmosphere: The Southern debutante world is rendered with vivid detail—think lush garden parties and whispered scandals. Areas for Improvement Pacing: Early chapters risk leaning heavily on setup; a quicker plunge into the central conflict could heighten engagement. Originality: While delightful, the premise treads familiar rom-com ground. Subverting tropes further could elevate its impact.
Score Breakdown (Out of 5) Originality & Freshness: 3.8/5 (Charming but familiar tropes) Character Development: 4.5/5 (Ebony Grace shines; supporting cast hints at potential) Pacing & Plot Structure: 3.5/5 (Strong mid-act momentum; slower start) Thematic Depth: 4/5 (Smart commentary on perfectionism; room to delve deeper) Romantic Chemistry: 4.5/5 (Promises sizzle!) Overall Rating: 4.1/5
The Divorcétante is an effervescent escape with substance, perfect for readers craving a rom-com that balances levity with emotional truth. Heintzelman’s debut in The Divatantes series sets a strong foundation for future installments, leaving audiences eager to see where Ebony Grace—and her squad—head next.
Acknowledgments Thank you to NetGalley and Mia Heintzelman for providing an advance copy of The Divorcétante. This review reflects my genuine enthusiasm for the novel’s blend of humor, heart, and Southern sophistication.
I am an ARC reviewer for this book thanks to NetGalley! I’d rate this book a 3.75/5! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ebony and her self-discovery after her divorce from Ellswood’s “finest bachelor.” The story weaves together themes of friendship, betrayal, second-chance romance, and personal growth. I could feel the bond Ebony had with her divatantes and it reminded me of my bond with my closest friends. You could cut the tension between Ebony and her Ex-mother-in-law. This added an extra layer of drama to the mix. In this book, you can find plot twists, piping hot local tea, and true love. One critique I have is that sometimes the dialogue felt a bit forced, especially when the characters used slang or expressions that tried to sound overly “hip” for the times. Overall, this book was a great palate cleanser in the sense that it was a fun, cute, and lighthearted read compared to some of the heavier books I have been reading. I would recommend!
First of all, with a cover and title like The Divorcétante, I was already excited for the story inside.
We start out with a scandal and see how our FMC deals with the aftermath of it all. Ebony has married into a family that is all about appearances, success and money. She's a perfectionist herself, but hasn't always made the best decisions. When she finds out that her husband has not only been cheating, but so much more, Ebony leaves that life behind with her head held high and wanting to only succeed with her wedding planning business. WIth a high profile wedding on the docket, her past comes rolling back in more ways than one.
Right from the start, this felt like a messy reality tv show. Lies, secrets, scandals, with a no good, horrible mother in law that was out to destroy Ebony if she wouldn't kneel to what she wants. For some reason, I didn't connect with Ebony right off the bat. I did like that she left a bad situation and made lemonade out of all the lemons, but there was just something off about her. Maybe it was that I adored Lincoln so much. He was a man that knew what he wanted and he was going to show Ebony what she was missing. Unfortunately, it took her a couple of horrible dates to see what was right in front of her.
Life after divorce is difficult to find yourself again, but Lincoln was there to pick up the pieces and show that Ebony made a wrong decision all those years ago. I liked their connection and friendship and how well they worked together and ended up liking the last half more than the first.
Overall, the growth, friendships and unveiling of secrets within the families in this book set a good foundation for more stories to come. Just wish I would've connected to Ebony quicker.
This was my first Net Galley read and it set the bar quite high!
I found this to be a very fun read that combined heartache, heartbreak, and the messy reality of being visible on the literal and digital social scene. Truly, Ellswood and its inhabitants (beyond Ebony and Lincoln) made me want to eat this book up and honestly what made it feel different from other stories.
I would have love have gotten more content about all the past relationships that make up the social tapestry, but that doesn't make or break the story as it!
This book had me at go! The lifestyles of the rich, famous and faulty always captivate me. This is a well developed storyline with well developed characters. It kept me flipping pages nonstop until the end. This second chance romance will tug at your heartstrings and leave you wanting more. Enjoy the slow burn! Enjoy the comeback
Thank you NetGalley, Honey Blossom Press and Mia Heitzelman for the opportunity to read an advance copy in return for an honest review.
Mia, girl! This book is going to be one of the best releases this summer! I laughed out loud, yelled, screamed, cried a bit in the afterglow and BLUSHED a lot (it’s always the tatted forearms!)
The Divorcétante is a delightfully beautiful small but bougie town romance of personal growth after divorce and reclaiming your story on your own terms.
Ebony Grace Livingston never truly had the chance to decide for herself what she wanted. Her story is one of a dutiful daughter who was groomed to be the perfect wife to what she thought was the perfect man.
She finds out, the hard way, that her life is perfectly crafted for an image and she is a prop, much to her dismay. Add in the rabid Luxe Ladies fanbase, the overbearing mother and the disdainful mother in law and you can imagine how this plays out publically when she decides to end her ten year marriage after she and the rest of Ellswood discover that her husband, Julian, is cheating on her with the Queen of the Luxe Ladies, Nora.
What transpires afterward is a well crafted story of a woman who was done wrong, treated like the villain. We follow Ebony on her journey to hed the idea of who she thought she was and discover who she truly is.
Part of her journey is reconnecting with an old dear friend, Lincoln Bridges. How they reconnect is wild - the ex MIL of all people!Lincoln is…my goodness…whew! Essentially, he is the man she denied herself thinking her life with Julian was what she wanted.
The tension?! Crackled immediately on page. These two were so electrifying when in the same room, I was sweating like I was there. Ebony’s fears of ruining her new life and Linc’s fears of her rejection keep them from giving in to temptation. It is a slow burn for sure, but it was the perfect way to showcase two people who had realistic fears. Add in that they have a high stakes event to plan for Ellswood’s finest which happens to Ebony Grace’s dragon of a former mother in law who seems to be intent on sabotaging Ebony’s business and newfound freedom and Linc’s business reputation so the tension was definitely there throughout the book and it kept me hooked until the very end.
The spice?! Let me just say I will never pass a waterfall in my life and never think of Ebony Grace and Linc!
I will not spoil the end nor give any more of the plot away. If you love stories of women finding themselves after disappearing in unhappy marriages and getting the second chance happy ending they deserve…this is the book for you!
If surviving a televised cheating scandal, serving face at brunch, and snatching your crown back were an Olympic sport then Ebony Grace Livingston would take home the gold. 🥂👑
This book is Black Girl Luxury meets Second Chance Romance, and I inhaled every juicy, scandalous, slow burny chapter like it was gossip at the salon. Ebony went from trophy wife to ✨CEO of Her Damn Self✨ and I was living for it.
Let’s break it down: ✨Husband? Trash. Public cheating? On brand for men. 💅 ✨Mother-in-law? Satan in Chanel. ✨Ebony? STUNNING. GLOWING. THRIVING. ✨Lincoln? The tattooed architect with emotional intelligence and big hands energy. HELLO, SIR. 😩👏
The tension? So thick I was holding my breath. The chemistry? Sparks were flying before they even kissed. And when they did kiss??!! Let’s just say I’ll never walk past a waterfall the same again. 🌊🔥
But beyond the spice and sass, this book hits you with truth: about reinvention, self-worth, and refusing to be the villain in someone else’s weak little story.
Ebony said ✨plot twist✨ and became the main character of her own damn life.
If you love: 💕 Friends to Lovers 🔁 Second Chances 💄 Luxe Black Girl Drama 💅 Petty, powerful revenge arcs 🥵 A slow burn that erupts
This book is your new obsession. Ebony Grace isn’t just finding herself, she’s giving rich auntie energy and rewriting the rules.
This audiobook is narrated by J.Y. Kora and Midnite Michael. I love when novels with multiple viewpoints have multiple narrators. The voice acting helped this feel more romantic.
This story was light, fun, sexy and even had a villain. Ebony is a high society elite event planner and former debutante who grew up to have it all. When she is unexpectedly publicly embarrassed by her (now soon to be ex) husband's behavior. To overcome this personal embarrassment and reclaim her place in high society Ebony needs this next big event to be splendid. In steps architect Lincoln Bridges to complicate the delicate process of Ebony's come back event.
The romance had shades of insta-love but the author was able to make the story line work. This a glitzy and the characters aren't meant to feel relatable and don't. This creates a very escapist style story and this is enhanced by how unrelatable the characters lives feel. This was dramatic and over the top, a bit like a prime time soap opera. Nothing in this narrative takes itself seriously or breaks the escapist vibe of the novel.
Thank you to Mia Heintzelman, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook. All opinions and viewpoints expressed in this review are my own.
This was first novel by Mia and I thought it was pretty good! There were a lot of things that I liked about the book and there were some other things that I didn't feel super obsessed with. If you are someone who likes reality TV (see the housewives franchise) you would really be into this. I felt like I was watching a Bravo show.
I always love a story where the heroine gets the opportunity to choose herself and step into her true self. Ebony was fortunate for her girls being there to support her though the transition in her life following her divorce from Julian & that was nice to see.
In the original synopsis Julian's appearance feels like its going to be a bit like a 'enemies-to-lovers' kind of vibe and it was really not that at all. I liked the couple together and they definitely had some really good yearning & steamy moments but overall I feel like they got back together a bit to fast for me. I am normally not a second chance girl and I wish this one hit that trope a little better for me.
Overall, I liked this book and I think this is a perfect book for the summertime!
Thank you to Honey Blossom Press (via NetGalley) for gifting me this eArc for an early review. All opinions are my own.
To say the least, this book checked all my marks! It had spice, romance, drama, character development, and characters that I, as a black woman, could relate to!

Imagine you get a divorce because your husband was caught cheating on national TV, and instead of owning up to it like a man, he and his dusty old mama decide they wanna make you the villain. Like??! That was Ebony’s life. That was THIS book!!
Mia has done it again with this book! Not only was this story hilarious but it was very real! It truly showed the crazy side of mother-in-law's and how messy divorces can get. And beyond that, it was a true slow-burn, friends-to-lovers type romance - which I am always here for!!
I loved the character development throughout this story, seeing Mia go from this soft spoken character to a confident woman in her skin was to die for! I loved every second of it! And don't even get me started on Mr. Bridges! We love a man that knows what he wants okay!! 😍
To say the least, this book checked all my marks! It had spice, romance, drama, character development, and characters that I, as a black woman, could relate to!
Thank you so much Mia Heintzelman and NetGalley for the ARC! You guys be sure to get a copy of this when it drops on June 24th! You won't regret it!! 🥰
This was such a cute read! I love when a main character knows her worth, and Ebony Grace embodied confidence, self-awareness, and professional stability. After being publicly humiliated in front of thousands, she didn’t crumble like most expected her to do. Instead she turned that heartbreak into a whole new beginning.
Despite the emotional hits she took from her husband, toxic in-laws, and so-called friends, Ebony refused to let them see her sweat. She picked herself up each time and never lost sight of her value or her joy. Watching her rebuild and prioritize herself was so satisfying.
By the end, she didn’t just survive, she thrived, walking away with everything her heart truly desired.
**Thanks NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC**
I read The Divorcétante by Mia Heintzelman in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it! The story was fast-paced and kept me hooked from beginning to end. I loved how all the plotlines were wrapped up neatly, and the characters were so well-developed. There were some jaw-dropping moments that made the book even more exciting, and I found myself really invested in the characters' journeys. The mix of drama, humor, and intrigue was just perfect. I’d love to see more of these characters and their friends. This book left me wanting more. If you’re looking for a fun, engaging read with strong characters and fun twists, The Divorcétante is definitely worth picking up!
Second chance romance with the backdrop of the upper echelon. Think black Hamptons or Martha's Vineyard. What's that show Yaya DeCosta was on, Our Kind of People? Meddling mothers trying to protect the family name and image by doing shady stuff, Arranged marriages, historic landmarks.
While I enjoying the FMC and her story, at one point I wanted the MMC to let her go and date other people. I also wish we got a bit more romance from them but other the story was enjoyable.
Mia again did a great job highlighting the girls group. Like she has writing these friendships down to a science though there is a bit of a twist with this one.
Thank you Mia, NetGalley, and Honey Blossom Press for the eARC.
Well that was unexpected! You go in and you see the beautiful love story unfold….but then…SCANDAL!!!! I love how MH gave us such a southern belle story…Everything played well together…There’s drama you see coming…drama you don’t see coming…drama you think may be coming…Each character makes you feel something for them. Of course Ebony and Lincoln have you cheering for them, but at some point you may find yourself cheering for others. Reinventing yourself after a public scandal is hard but Ebony Grace….does it with sooooo much grace and class much to the chagrin of both her mother and mother in law. It was just what she needed to rediscover herself.
I truly enjoyed this story! It shows readers the lavish, drama-filled world of the upper echelon and exposes their devious ways with flair.
Ebony Grace Livingston is juggling more than most: a mother obsessed with appearances, a husband (Julian) who is a certified momma’s boy and serial cheater, and a mother-in-law seemingly sent straight from the pits of hell—finding fresh ways to torment her at every turn. Ebony is so focused on pleasing everyone else that she’s forgotten what happiness looks like for her.
Enter Lincoln Bridges—her former best friend, one-night stand, and current crush. His reappearance turns Ebony’s world upside down. But when mysterious events start affecting both of them, they’re forced to team up, uncover the truth, and hold the culprits accountable—all while reclaiming their power and showing everyone who runs Ellswood. And maybe reigniting old flames.
The Divorcétante is a wild, entertaining ride—part Real Housewives of Atlanta, part The Devil Wears Prada, with a dash of Monster-in-Law. It’s dramatic, juicy, and a whole lot of fun. I fully enjoyed this one!

Starting off by saying this was a 3.5 rounded up for me - a solid read!
This story follows Ebony and she picks up the pieces of her life after divorcing a man she thought she’d have forever (Julian I HATE you I wish you nothing but the worst).
As she picks up those pieces, she runs into a Lincoln. This story follows Ebony as she tackles second chances, rebuilds her life, reclaims her personality and does so with her head held high. I think fans of housewives type dramas would love this read - I surely cheered for Ebony!
This was my first novel by Mia Heintzlman and will not be my last.
If you like scandal, upper-society drama, or The Real Housewives franchise then The Divorcétante is for you.
Ebony Grace Livingston is newly divorced after her husband embarrassed her in the worst way and she is now reclaiming her time and taking back what’s hers!
Thank you to NetGalley and Mia Heintzlman for the ARC.
Prepare the be thoroughly entertained! This book is for you if you have ever dealt with the following scenarios:
- a partner’s exhausting mother
- overbearing parents whom had very high expectations and/or practically planned out your entire life since childhood
- a friend who randomly ghosted you
- a childhood friend you secretly crushed on
- a stage in your life that forced you to reinvent or rebrand yourself
This romance story came with all the bells and whistles. Love, comedy, suspense, and even a little drama by way of a villain. I appreciated reading about a FMC who got her HEA because she chose to go against the grain as opposed to following it. It added more authenticity to the plot, making it more enjoyable. Not only will I be adding this to my personal library, but I will also be heavily suggesting this book to my friends and family. I look forward to reading more work from this author.

This was not for me. At the start you are thrown so many names it’s hard to keep up and the story feels like nothing out of the ordinary and a little basic. For me, it fell flat, I wish we got to read more about Ebony’s friends or Linc’s friends, instead of it mostly being about fixing the manor and the ending felt anticlimactic after all this build up of the evil Cornelia.
