Pride is a beautifully written story, but even better are the visuals the author gives you as you read. I could see the animals wandering through the bushveld, hear their calling, smell the changes in the air, and feel Anton falling in love with the vast silence and beauty of the wild. The bond these boyhood friends had matured into a deep and tangible connection. I applaud the author for his ability to immerse the reader in his story.
