★★★★★! The Invitation, book 3 of 3. With the identity of her mysterious seducer revealed can Justine resist Ashton’s relentless seduction & determination be her one-and-only?

“That man has a monster cock. Like, epic. You know? Some guys strip down and you’re like, get that thing away from me! But Ash’s cock… I wanted to snuggle up with that thing…”

The Invitation series is a stand-alone sequel to The Seduction series.

Books best enjoyed if read in order:
Book 1: The Invitation: Prequel
Book 2: The Invitation: Surrender
Book 3: The Invitation: Release

In The Invitation, book 1 and 2, we followed CEO of Venture, Inc. Ashton Pierce, Ash and attorney Justine Jenkins, JJ for their one-night-stand right before graduating from business and law school and then three years later as their paths crossed again when they were on opposing sides of a law suit. Sparks flew, old feelings emerged and that lingering sexual tension crackled the air.

But Justine had a difficult time reconciling all that with the hot-cold and elusive Ashton she faced in the lawsuit. So when she started receiving seductive invitations, notes and gifts taking her on a merry-go-chase of its sender while exploring her sexuality Justine found herself distracted from work and Ashton allowing a mysterious stranger to take control of her actions and pleasures.

In The invitation: Release, book 3 Justine has finally learned the identity of her mystery seducer. It has been a distraction in rekindling her friendship and relationship with Ash, but now she needs to make a decision on whether to move forward with Ash. He is relentless in his pursuit and persuasive in his seduction, stirring up old feelings and offering Justine some of the best sex she has ever had.

It’s a kinky ride with a commanding sex God and sexually liberated Justine, but there are still past hurts and secrets and years that needs to be accounted for. Besides neither Ash nor Justine are keen on commitments

 photo Inv2HxBSbysb_zpsd18c0ba2.gif

I am totally captivated by sex God extraordinaire, Ashton Pierce, Ash. Eight words to describe Ash: Commanding, aloof, charismatic, enigmatic, relentless, jaded, complex and ruthless.

“Beg for me. You know you want to. I can feel it, baby, you’re so close. Beg, and I’ll give you everything.”

 photo Inv2hexBSbysb_zps47a2d782.gif

Justine Jenkins, JJ has done good job of holding her own next to the larger-than-life Ashton. Eight words to describe Justine: Driven, smart, decisive, complex, lonely, adventurous, candid and successful.

“What’s that look for?”
“Just thinking about your cock buried down my throat,” I answer sweetly.”

The Invitation: Release offers a mixture of mystery, suspense, drama, steam, steam and some more steam courtesy Ashton Pierce, but it’s also about letting go of the past and coming to terms with who you are and what you really need. Story and epilogue left them in a wonderful place, but I would welcome a glimpse further into their future.

Roxy Sloane is a pro at off-the-charts sex scenes! Larger-than-life hero, Ashton Pierce! Excellent story-telling! Mysterious and suspenseful plot! Strong heroine!

“Ash devours me, merciless, until finally, the kiss turns tender. Soft and sweet, heart-breakingly slow.”

Nothing about the plot in this review, sorry. I think revealing even the smallest info about what's going on, might spoil fun for all those readers who are waiting for this part to be released and want to start reading all of them in a row.

So, you have to read to know what it is about, but I will tell you this. I loved it, of course I did. It is one of the best erotica stuff I've recently read. And I'm not only talking about this part, I'm talking about this series as a whole. Because not only the steam factor is incredibly high, but the storyline is very good itself. And as much as I enjoyed sexy, dirty, hot, rough, sensual sex scenes, I also enjoyed the plot, characters, relationship development and twists in this part. There was drama, there was angst and there were so many feels. But everything wrapped up nicely in the end. Oh, I almost forgot, there was angry sex too!

One thing about Ash. There are a lot of heros that stayed in my mind and heart after the book is read and done. Some of them I like, some of them I love and some of them are really special. And well, Ash..... he is something else, I don't know what it is particularly about him that got to me, but he certainly did conquer my heart and he will definitely be joining my top book boyfriends list.

And especially for creating Ash, I thank you Roxy Sloane. But!....I need more, seriously it's not enough, I want more Ash and his hottness. I know this is supposed to be the last part in this series, but damn! I may even make a petition for another installment:) Are you signing up girls?

Whew, that was one helluva sexy ride. Join the ride, enjoy the journey!!!

Quiet your mind.
Open your body.
Take everything I have to give you--and more.
And then, only then will you understand.
This invitation is not just for the night.
It's forever.

JJ and Ash are back and I had hoped that this last installment in the series was going to WOW us all. To me it fell a bit short.

I can't believe I am going to say this, but, there was actually TOO MUCH SEX in this book. Now, I enjoy a book with a lot of steam. Believe me!! However, I felt like JJ and Ash were going at it almost on every page. Sometimes it even seemed a little inappropriate.

I kind of figured out Ash's secret early on and maybe some aspects I didn't see coming but it just got overshadowed by all the hot & dirty sex. I think if I were JJ, I'd probably want to be doing all kinds of naughty things with Ash too, but as a reader, I wanted a bit more story to go along with the naughty sex.

The first two books were amazing. Even though this one didn't quite reach its potential for me, overall, I did love the series. I will always think back to my Ashton with fond memories!! I'd still read anything Ms. Sloane writes!!!

3--Too OTT --Stars!!

WARNING: Contains spoilers if you haven't read the first two books!

Well sadly, after the big build-up to the reveal of the mystery man behind the invitations this one kind of tanked for me!

I found it to be all manufactured drama and just too OTT. For the first 40% I was honestly bored. Justine is naturally hurt that Ash lied to her but it doesn't take her long to forgive him.

The first 50% is pretty much all sex and Justine swooning over the greatness of Ash. Which quite frankly got old.

Ash's past has been kept secret for most of the series so it was no surprise that a big reveal was coming.

And I have to say, I was a bit disappointed as I have read this same situation in another serial series. From there things just seem to spiral out of control. And the drama is just in abundance. All very predictable and again the same thing I've read about already. Nothing new or original.

Yes, the sex was hot....the first few times. But the scenes seemed to be duplicated over and over again.

Everything just seemed to annoy me, down to Ash calling Justine darling....

I hate to say it, but this one just didn't work for me!

Everything in this book was too overdone for me:
First thing that annoyed the hell out of me was the constant lust. No matter what Ash did, end result was that Justine got horny.

Ash is standing in the doorway. How does that make Justine feel?:

Ash is sitting in his car. What is Justine thinking?

In other words: Every time when Ash and Justine were in the same room, Justine was doing this:

Next thing that was also overdone: all that back and forth and pushing away.

I'm ashamed to admit it but the sex was overdone too. Sure, it was hot and well written but also too much and too often AND it sounded all the same.

The plot reminded me so much of other serials and series including The Seduction.

I really enjoyed the prequel. I think the author has done a good job introducing the characters and story but this final installment was just

I was curious about this book, especially after the reveal of the mystery man on the ending of book2. I wanted to see how they would explain it, how they would react about it and how the story would move, because the heroine's reaction was definitely unexpectable.

What I really got from this book?

A hero and a heroine who were constantly..

As a result they were having sex non stop, in like every chapter and more than once. Actually, I ended up skimming almost every sex scene, because it got boring pretty fast and I was dying for some kind of real plot, but all I was getting was..

And when there was an interesting development -that was predictable as shit, but still it got me intrigued, thinking that it would lead to some angst & action and not just sex?

Sadly, this book didn't work for me and I was disappointed because I had really enjoyed the first one.I didn't get my questions answered, unless they were in the sex parts I skimmed..Which I don't think it's the case, but if you've read this series I want to ask..

I do want to read more by this author, though.Have to admit that she's awesome when it comes to smut, but smut needs to also has some limits sometimes. An actual plot is required, especially when it comes to a series.

Another serial fizzles out into the dust. I don’t know how else to say this, but I didn’t like this last installment at all. Is it just a product of the serial type of format vs one fluid story? Perhaps, but I felt like so much time was wasted here on sex when it should have been spent on oh, I dunno the actual story, perhaps some needed groveling as well?

**Spoilers from 1st 2 books, you have been warned!!**

So we pick up where the last book left off. Justine is all pissed and betrayed. Why you ask? Who the hell knows?

The classic tale of using sex to solve your problems. There was a lot of sex, too much. It just got boring and I found myself skimming parts. The silver balls? Déjà vu. Cake on the titties? Meh, bored.

So you know there is a twist right? Why did he not contact her for so long? He was in LA, not a peep. His words, “I wasn’t ready.”
I call..
description

And the reasoning? Again, déjà vu, and well..
description
Could see that one coming a mile away.

But again, nothing a little of this can’t fix.
description

So then we get our cray cray Glenn Close moment, hero comes to the rescue, yada yada fade to black. I feel like the MC's in the previous books were kidnapped and replaced with imposters or something. Justine, what happened to the feisty? You lost the feisty girl. And Ash, take ownership for being a lying dumbass, fall on the sword buddy. Instead, it was Justine falling on his "sword" over and over an over...

2.5 Stars So yeah, disappointed with how it turned out. Less sexy, more groveling was needed for me. Would I recommend the series based on this lackluster installment? Hard to say, the 1st 2 were so good, but I can see a lot of my GR buds being annoyed by how it ends. So proceed with caution? Meh.

JJ has been through a whirlwind...invitations, gifts and secret clubs and finally, finally she got to see who her secret admirer was in the last book, The Invitation: Surrender. The book couldn't have ended better. I had such high hopes!

description

Unfortunately, this book was one big sexfest after another! Things got so repetitive that I really wanted to skim but I didn't. In fact, I thought I surely must have slept through part of my reading because where in the heck did the magic balls disappear to?

But...I really like JJ and Ash and I wanted them to be sooo good. I loved how things started out for them but where did feisty JJ go? All Ash had to do was rub against her and she turned to mush!

description

We did get some answers and since we get Ash's POV, we know there's a big secret he's kept from JJ. I was still hopeful when it came out even though it's fairly easy to guess. I was wanting some good emotional drama and for Ash to step up to the plate. Instead we got a bit of this...

description

So, this final installment is a bit of a disappointment but I really enjoyed the first two! Plus we get a few scenes with Keely and Vaughn and that's always a good thing.

Favorite quotes:

♥ "This is what I dreamed about."

♥ "Women are all the same," he sighs. "They only want me for my groceries."

♥ “How about them Mets?”

Ash chuckles. “I’m more of a soccer man myself.”

Vaughn sighs. “Fucking Brits.”

In book 3 it is finally revealed who the delicious mystery man is. Ashton will do anything to win over Justine. He is desperate for her to let him into her life. He promises her no more lies or games. He is the first guy that has ever had the power to hurt her. After some convincing, JJ decides to trust in Ash and give him another chance. She isn't sure where they stand or if they have a future, but after all this time their connection is still just as strong. And let me just say the sex is plenty! These two are on fire! ;))

JJ now knows who her mystery man is. She is hurt and wants answers. But can she trust Ash again? She knows that her body will always trust him but can her mind? Ash is her total package, he is perfect for her. He knows her like no other. But Ash is still holding back one secret, will that secret destroy them? He has promised JJ no more lies or secrets but all he wants to do is protect her. In the meantime, being together has escalated the sex between the 2. It is Commanding-Rough-Wild-Hot-Sizzling-Controlling-Sensual.

I did have a little issue with the ending. I felt that the wrap up of Ash's secret felt a little too perfect. I would have liked a little more information about its closure. But I did love that there was an Epilogue. I did find out that the next series The Seduction, involves JJ's best friend Keely. I'm looking forward to reading that series. I hope that Ash and JJ make appearances.

Roxy, thank you for a very steamy sexy series!!

3 Over The Top Stars.

In this third and final installment JJ finally found out who her mystery man his. (Actually it was in the end of the second, but this one starts exactly there.)
And now that she knows who he is, she wants nothing with him. He broke her heart once, she will not let him do it again.
But this time he’s decided to have her forever, so he knows we needs to win her and for that he have to open up about his past.
But once secrets come out, they can never be hide again… and will Ash finally win JJ forever, or will his secret bring them apart for good?

Rating: 3 Stars.
Storyline: After waiting excitedly for this book, I’ve got a lot to say and not of it good.

description

This book was a little over the top with drama. Too much in too little time and most of it completely predictable. I guessed what it was almost from the end of book two. I liked the previous two books very much and this one disappointed me. I was expecting a greater hea for them and I left feeling underwhelmed by this one.
Character Development: For someone who was so (rightfully) angry and disappointed Justine was awfully quick at forgiving and giving in. In one minute she was mad and 5 minutes after they were going at it like two hormonal teenagers. I felt like slapping her every time.

description

Ash spent too little time on the doghouse. He should have groveled so, so much more. I felt like it didn’t prove his feelings for JJ enough and he should have sort his life much better. What was the point in waiting all that time to get Justine if his life was still a mess? Oh, stupid man!
Steam: HOT. But after a while it just got repetitive.

** 2-2,5 "WAY too much sex going on" STARS **

I'm sorry for having to say this, I really am, but Roxy Sloane, sweetie, way to ruin such a perfect and fun series...

Where to begin...

1) These are Erotica books, sure. Of course they'll have multiple sex scenes, that's a given. But when the amount of sex in the book exceeds the amount of actual events and even the meaningful dialogues in the book...IT GETS IRRITATING.

Especially if it's the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I actually skimmed through all the sex scenes after the first 30% of the book.

Yes. ME. Hard to believe, right?

Oh and there's NO MAN ON EARTH with that kind of stamina.

And no woman will be able to strut around after that kind of a sex marathon! I mean, C'MON, you'd be paralyzed for the rest of the week!

2) The ridiculousness of the constant repeat of lines like "It was him all along." and "And I loved every minute of it.".

Was the author out of words and sentences to describe certain situations?!

And what kind of editor didn't realize these repeats?!

3) The fact that in the middle of EVERY FREAKIN' FIGHT Ash and JJ are having, Ash "grabs her face in both his hands" and pushes her somewhere and they start doing it.

All those scenes lowered JJ in my mind little by little, and she actually made it in my "The Most Pathetic Heroines Ever" list.

Yeah, you're "in love" with this guy, and he's "too irresistible" and "oh-so-damn-hawt", but at least show a little fake resistance JJ!

ZERO SELF RESPECT.

4) Something I hate in Romance books: The man ordering for the lady without asking about her opinion.

That behavior annoys the sh*t out of me every damn time!

It's not sweet or considerate.

It's condescending and extremely sexist.

And it's unacceptable.

"I know what you want." Ash's gaze sears right through me. "Even when you don't know it yourself."

5) Quotes like these:

"Admit it," he says. "You hoped it would be me."

"Tell me I'm not wrong. Tell me you didn't want it to be me sending you the notes, that you weren't imagining my c*ck inside you the entire time we f*cked."

All I could think of when I was reading these stuff was THIS:

No further comments necessary.

OVERALL:

This one didn't work for me.

But, please, don't get discouraged by my review. Give it a try. Maybe you'll love it :)

3.75 I need more than just sex STARS

All in all the series was a really fun read. Hot and sexy.

Ash is unbelievably awesome and the games were a lot of fun, although it was quite obvious who the mystery man was.

JJ was a bit too trusting for my taste. Honestly, girl has now self-preservation-instinct.

The hot and heavy gets too much after a while. Can't believe I'm saying this, but...yeah, I skimmed through the sex scenes. Sorry, not sorry. ;D

Anyway. Fast read. Worth it if you want something over the top naughty, with not much plot involved.

...until next time Ms. Sloane. ;P

Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH sex? Yes, for me, apparently there is. I didn't think I was frigid? Hmm.

I gave the first two books in the Invitation series each 4.5 stars, mainly because they were hot with a seriously alluring alpha hero. We had a storyline. This book...thus far was 100% sex scenes (and I skimmed past 50% and still the sex marathon). It's not even hot for me when they just roll one sex scene into the next into the next... (Insert eye roll)

I did read all three books back to back. Maybe my cup just runneth over. I love erotica but need a story to go with it...

I'll refrain from rating it. It's just wasn't my cuppa.

How in the world, did I go from loving this story to utterly hating???? I have the answer; there is such a thing as too much sex in a book, and in this case it turned a perfectly great story into something that looked like this….

dry humping gif photo: Humping Mouse Mouse_E_Mouse1.gif

dry humping gif photo: Humping Objects E26.gif

jennifer aniston gif photo: Jennifer Aniston GIF - Hula 2 JenniferAnistonHula2.gif

I was so bored and mad by the lack of plot in this book, and Justine really got on my nerves. Instead of her asking Ash the important questions, she would become a complete idiot whenever this man would touch her, I swear if Ashton told JJ that Santa was real and that pigs do fly she would have believed him as long as he was doing her, for a lawyer I thought she turned into a real dummy and I wasn't a fan.

I loved the first two installments , but after learning the truth behind the secrets, this book took a bad turn and became just a story about two people who had really intense sexual chemistry. I have to say that this author really knows how to write erotica but after the tenth time of these two doing it, the magic was simply gone for me. Too bad, I was very excited to read this book but I was sadly disappointed by it… Now please excuse me while I go have a drink…

3 Disappointing Stars.
Despite the overwhelming three star reviews, I held onto that tiny amount of hope that I would love this installment.
Hopes. Crushed.

JUSTINE (JJ) & ASHTON

I like a book with a lot of steamy scenes and they honestly didn't bother me that much (I enjoyed most of them even with 70% of the book being sex), it was the cliche secret that had my eyes rolling to the back of my head.

What also irked me was that JJ spent most of the time lusting after Ash's eight inch dick rather than spending time together talking and catching up with each other... maybe watching a movie maybe? They can't even go on a date without including sex in it! They'd be NOTHING if there was no sex. (Maybe I lied about the huge amount of sex scenes not bothering me.)

It's a shame really, the first two installments were GREAT. Though, after reading this installment, I realized how creepy the whole setup was. What if the dude was some pervert with STDs or something? I mean you could be exposing yourself to a psychopath and you wouldn't know it... *shudder*

explosive conclusion...Yea, I don't know about that -_-

Can someone please explain to me if its like a thing now that there's a romance/erotica trilogy that starts off sexy and seems to always end with the last book having some form of "suspense" to it?

I guessed what Ash's secret was when he ran into some "friends" while he was out with JJ, but I still felt like it was completely random and the turn of events from it were so unnecessary. Also, there was no real story to this conclusion, all there was was a lot of sex. Like too much! I really wanted to see development in their relationship but all there was was development in their sexual acts.

Overall, this series started off well! I loved the first book and was extremely excited to continue with the series, but book 2 was a let down for me and it just continued into the final book. I would give this series 3.5 stars.

So This series was really hot !! Scorching hot !
I didn't go in expecting an epic love story or anything , I knew it was supposed to be an erotic series so I expected the OTT lust and the too much sex scenes between the MCs , but it actually had enough of a story to keep it interesting .

So Why did this Volume get the lowest rating from me ?

I had to tag my reason because it contains spoilers and some ranting :$ ::

To be fair , I may be a little bit over reacting because I've had enough of the same pattern in some books . But like I said , the book is really hot , the story is fun , and the MCs have amazing chemistry and I really did enjoy it , except for the last parts of this volume . So I would recommend it for a quick read between heavy ones ;)

2 DNF @ 50% Stars!

I'm sorry I can't, I JUST CAN'T! Part 2 was incredible and I was so excited for this one, but it fell short. The story is literally all sex, no plot, just sex. I like lots of sex but it's important to have a story surrounding it. It was pathetic seeing Justine doing whatever Ash says with literally no questions asked! She doesn't question Ash at all, and they just talk things out by having sex. I really wanted this to be good and I NEVER DNF books, but this one I just couldn't.

I have to say that I’m a little disappointed.
I really loved the first 2 books.
As for this one, the story was predictable and rushed.

The sex was hot....the first few times…but after a while was too much and too often…I can’t’ believe I have to admit that sex was overdone!

sigh..... you know what this book was? A big, fat disappointment

I spent half the time wanting to slap Ash in the face, because really, some of the stuff he does is really stupid. But even that, I can get over. But the one thing I can't? The RIDICULOUSNESS of this plot. Like really?

This is like a Spanish soap opera gone wrong or something.

Especially at the end, my face was just like

Like seriously, the guy has Over dramatic much? That is how original you are? For shame, I expected more out of this book and that makes me sad, because trust me, I really wanted to like this book

The reason for the 2 stars was literally only for the steam factor, which is pretty good tbh but when that's basically the only reason a book is good, it gets old. And lame. I like when the books I read have an actual plot attached to them.

2 stars

I'm so disappointed.

The reasons that made me love the first book in this series went absolutely down the drain. seriously, what's up with the last book of a series completely ruining the characters?

I loved JJ, I thought she was strong and kickass and smart. But she forgave Ash in like 5 minutes. Seriously, JJ, I hope you don't bend over in court the same way you bent over to him. ugh.

And then she was always ALWAYS wet for him. Like WOMAN have some self respect, he betrayed you.

Ash also disappointed me, given he was a major asswipe.

The plot wasn't interesting now that there was no secret admirer, and I felt bored. Even the sex scenes all seemed more of the same.

This one felt completely flat for me...

5 FILTHY STARS!!!

This whole series took me by surprise! I was hooked from the prequel. This was one pantie melting series and took me back to what I know and love - a filthy rich, dominating, alpha male. It's been a while since I got my fix but this totally hit the spot. I'm ready to play with you anytime, Ash. Let the games begin.

G&J: 2.5 Stars

We were really looking forward to the third and final instalment in this series. It felt as if the first two had been a passionate sexy build up to the crescendo where we’d get the emotional finale. We’d really enjoyed revelling in the mystery and drama and couldn’t wait to see what effect the big reveal would have on JJ and the mystery man in Release.

“I trusted you…When I didn’t know your identity, I still trusted you. You took care of me. You made me feel safe. But you broke that trust here tonight. You broke us.”

Whilst we enjoyed parts of it we sadly have to admit to being disappointed. We knew that it’d be full of panty dropping nookie, however we expected an emotional story to come along with it. After all the Author had two fabulous characters here who’ve been through years of loss and longing having finally found each other again.

“Tell me. What’s changed?”
“What’s changed is I can’t live another fucking day without you.”

Whilst there was moments of that intense emotional connection we found in book one it was far and few between. Unfortunately in our opinion the fact that once again it was all about the sex until near the very end, well it got repetitive and we started skimming and rolling our eyes at the crass and cheesy sex talk rather than finding it hot as per the previous books.
The drama felt too over the top in such a short space of time and we lost that emotional connection we originally had with the characters. This review hurts to write but we have to be honest. This final instalment just didn’t work for us overall. It felt rushed towards the end too which is such a shame as we loved Ash and JJ!!

‘He was always my best friend.’
“You were always the best fucking part of me.”

When it seems that Justine and Ash finally have what was put on hold 3 years ago, we find out about his past. I knew what he was hiding. And boy is she cray-cray. It broke up the story from the sex, sex, and more sex. I'm not complaining. I appreciated it for what it was...a filthy romance.

"I knew, if we were together, it would be better than anything. Hotter, wilder, Everything."
"If I was going to do this, I had to be all in," Ash continued.

It ends to a nice conclusion...with a "fuck-off" diamond ring and him inside her...helping along her decision.

God, he's perfect. Sweet and sexy, smart and kind. And the dirtiest, most thrilling sex of my life.

I don't know what to rate this.. 3.5 I guess.

A little disappointed in this last installment.
I wanted to feel their connection more, like in the previous books.
The drama felt too over the top and then wrapped up quickly. I really wish it would have been taken out altogether. I would have loved feeling the connection, rather than the inconsequential drama.

Overall, it was a hot read and I loved these characters. Definitely worth a read!
