Excellent sequel to a fantastic book series. The characters are great and the plot expands past the realm of the first installment. The choices that the characters are faced with keep the book extremely interesting throughout. Can’t wait for the next installment

First, I want to say thank you to the author for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feedback are my own.

This was a really strong sequel to the Chloe’s Kingdom series. Once again, Michael’s writing really pulled me in, and I loved getting to see the crew back in action. Just like with book 1, the multiple POVs worked really well for me, and the short chapters made this incredibly easy to binge with almost every chapter ending in a way that made me want to keep reading.

There were still a couple smaller things that occasionally pulled me out of the story a bit at times, some of the same things I mentioned in my review for book one, but overall they honestly didn’t take away much from my enjoyment of the story as a whole.

There were also a few plot twists that popped up that I genuinely wasn’t expecting, so well done there. They definitely left me very curious to see how some of those directions are going to play out moving forward because now I need to know where this story is heading next.

Overall, I had a great time with this sequel and I’m definitely excited to continue. If you love sci-fi, heist stories, and fast paced reads that keep you flying through the pages, I do highly recommend this series.

This was an absolutely fantastic sequel to what was my favorite Sci-fi read last year. The Lost Colony picks right off where we left off with book 1 and never lets up. Super fast-paced with quick and easy-to-read chapters makes for a book that is easy to blast through!

I enjoyed the first book and I'm throwing it out there. The Lost Colony was even more enjoyable! The characters continue to develop and grow emotionally with these new experiences and the continuing plot from book 1. There are twists and turns around every corner that make you go, just one more chapter. The overall story plot hit me with some stuff I didn't see coming. And I enjoyed the action sequences here! But wait, Mojito gets his own chapters this go around! He even throws down in some action with claws out!

With how everything went down here and what's coming to the Kingdom now, I can not wait for book 3! I feel like we might have some epic space action taking place and I'm here for it! If you haven't picked up or started book 1 yet, do it! This series is so great and glad I'm a part of Chloe's Kingdom!

The Lost Colony picks up right where we left off and immediately keeps the momentum from book 1 going. Gregory follows up a great debut novel with the same fast paced, easy to read, chapters but elevates the stakes, prose, and character development at every turn, while still delivering unexpected twists. Gregory has found a writing style that works great for the YA audience (but doesn’t limit itself to YA), with blazing fast chapters that keep you engaged and turning the page for more. I’m excited to follow his career with the 3rd installment of the Chloe’s Kingdom and whatever he decides to write after. Cheers!

Chloe is back with her rag tag group of friends and found family. has been taken and the group will stop at nothing to find her and bring her home!
This is book 2 of the Chloe's Kingdom trilogy and with it comes MORE! More action, more hijinks, more Mojito, more LOVE!
The author has really stretched his literary muscle for this story. All the characters have grown emotionally and there is so much hope among the terror we feel at being taken. The fear experienced by the group feels real and there are quite a few scenes that bring exquisite tension to the page! There are losses too and those are handled with such care and compassion.
Let's talk evil. There is a character that is just unredeemable in my eyes. Oh our author is going to try but it won't work on me! A punch in the face is just what the reader ordered here. I can so appreciate an author that makes me feel SO MUCH.
I loved the POV's we get this time too. Some of my favourite characters have been given voices this time and I'm here for it!
There is a pretty major twist to this installment and that twist will majorly influence the next book. I'm ready for it now please!

Following straight on from Gregory Michael’s first book in the series, Chloe’s Kingdom, we stay with characters we grew fond of in book one as they set out to rescue their friend.
The chapters are short, and the end of each one almost dares you to try and close the book. Difficult to do. The pace barely lets off, and each time you wonder how they are going to pull off something seemingly impossible, the author shows you how it’s done—and there’s no deus ex machina to spoil the immersion.
In Chloe’s Kingdom there was a twist I never saw coming. Expect that in this book, as well; it provides a great ‘WTH' to the story, and is immensely satisfying. I absolutely cannot wait for book three.
I caught the author online recently, and gave him the two scenarios I could see playing out for the upcoming installment. He gave nothing away but the working title for the book, and I immediately thought, “what the hell?”
So much fun.
If you haven’t read book one, definitely get that before reading this one. Then look forward to book three, and pray there’s more to come after that.

Glad I grabbed this after the cliffhanger from book 1. Same style with short chapters and multiple characters views, but new people added! Read the book in one weekend. Can't wait for the third.
