[Siren LoveEdge Erotic Alternative Cowboy Romance, M/M, HEA] Oliver Davis lives in a rundown neighborhood, in a bad part of town where drugs and prostitution are prevalent. His entire life changes in a matter of seconds. Hank Ramsey is the sheriff in the no-name town outside of Telluride, Colorado. He loves his job. The only busy nights are the occasional drunks. Olivia Black fell in love with romance novels years ago and read everything from alternative to ménage, and everything in between. Thousands of books later, Olivia is still an avid reader on the lookout for a good book.
Olivia started writing ménage romance with Siren Publishing under the name Alicia White, then later decided to branch out and with the support of the publisher, started writing ManLove under Olivia Black. So here's the deal, I've been waiting for Oliver's story since book 2, for sure.
I loved this. I cried. I cried so hard. To be honest, I wasn't really interested in the relationship between him and Hank. I was more into Oliver's life, his current with his brothers and his past life. Man, I was gutted.
If you follow my reviews, you will know I am not shy about my past. I lived a crazy drug-filled past. I've been lower than low and shacked up with the squatters. Probably the only thing I've never had to do was sell myself, but that doesn't mean I didn't know any people who worked the streets. There was one woman I called "Mama G" because she always looked out for the young girls and boys who worked the streets, but that didn't mean she wouldn't throw you under the bus if it saved her ass. Why am I telling you this? I wish there were more Mama G's out there. Prostitution is one of the oldest professions there are and it will always be there, no matter how hard we try to get them off the streets. To know that someone is looking out for them though helps a bit. I have a HUGE heart, but not enough funds to help everyone. I hate it, but it's reality. I donate to shelters all across the US to help, but I know that's not enough.
If you read the previous books, you know about Oliver cutting. It wasn't really prominent in this like I thought. I didn't understand how Hank had so much power over him at that time and I didn't buy it. I know a few cutters, but I've never really talked to them about it. I did think that Olivia Black got the feelings out on page correct. The release, the feeling of euphoria, the watching of blood, etc.
I was actually excited when I heard this was NOT going to be the last book in the series. I wasn't sure how this was going to go when I first started it, but I can see myself reading every of them.
Oliver is still my favorite character and I can't wait to watch him grow.
***** A beautiful tale of redemption, finding love for the first time, and paying it forward. ***** Oliver grew up in a horrible childhood of child prostitution, forced on him by his own mother. He did what he had to do to survive. When his Dad, absent until now, sends for him, he goes. He meets his brothers, forms a bond and stays to see if he can have a better life on the ranch. Things go well until he gets into a fight and lands in jail. But even that turns out for the better, because he meets the Sheriff, Hank. For each of them the attraction is immediate, but Hank sees that he must court Oliver, moving slowly to prove his intentions are real. The men get to know each other, open their hearts, form a relationship and rely on each other throughout. Oliver is a sweetheart deep down, and Hank has a huge heart, which he shows when he helps Oliver heal and beyond. These guys are wonderful characters, realistic, and emotional. We get terrific hot sexiness, and hope for the future. Highly recommend this deep feeling M/M romance. :) ENJOY !!! =======================
Such an amazing story! Every one of these books in this series, just grabs you by the heart, shakes you around, makes you cry a little, laugh a little and love a lot. Oliver and Hank are just wonderful for each other and I am so happy I got to read their story <3. You get to visit with all the men from the previous books and get to see how their relationships have developed and grown which is always wonderful to be in on
