I owe my sister big time, but seriously, isn't there any other way I can repay her?
My identical twin is currently dominating the "Champion of the World" leaderboard, a year-long TV reality show that spans the globe. But now, she's broken her leg and needs me to become Brooke 'Action' Jackson for one installment of the program.
This is going to be a disaster; she's all about CrossFit, whereas I'm more of a cross stitch girl.
But the amount I owe her is undeniable. So I'm heading off to a tropical island for a week of mental and physical challenges. Right from the start Brooke is giving me extra trouble. Seems she conveniently "forgot" to mention her affair with the show's host, and her escapades with the sound guy. Though those problems fade into insignificance after a boat explosion and several near-drownings.
And now here I am, marooned on a deserted island with five (exceedingly hot) men and a resourceful nine-year-old girl who seems to know more about survival than I do. I guess it's time to tell everyone my name is not Brooke Action Jackson.
I’m just Daisy the librarian. Sorry everyone.

Nope. I’m tapping out at 27%. DNF at throbbing maw. I literally cannot go on.
This was the first strike:
“When I eat you, I wanna get pubes stuck in my teeth, I want to drink in your rich flavors; not have a waxed, floral-smelling, prissy pussy stuck in my face.”
And this was the second and last. We get no 3rd here. Not after this masterpiece of a few sentences 🤢
“Pressing my face further, I suck on her lips, feeling them swell even more in my mouth, her juices are running down my chin. My mouth is jealous of my chin; I should be drinking all that up. “Leander, oh jeez, that’s so…” she moans, trying to keep quiet. I move down and lap at the crease between her pussy and ass, catching the flow and pressing my nose into her throbbing maw.”
This is the second stranded on a deserted island book I dnf'd this week, although this one was better, it just wasn't working for me. I started this book, unknowingly confused on some details; I had read a review for the original first book and the only thing I remembered was that one of the MMCs had a sexual relationship with the FMC's twin sister (ew). Evidently the author changed some things around between when the original book was published and when the duet was released as an omnibus. While I was reading, the whole time I thought the major douche character of Harvey was going to be in the harem, since he was the only one who had sexy times with the sister. I couldn't understand how the author was going to redeem this guy, since he is definitely not written as typical MMC material. Turns out Harvey is not in the harem, and in the original book it was Killian that had spent a weekend of shagging her sister (here he says they only kissed). Guess the author got some grief over Killian boinking the twin.
I knew this book had MM going into it, however I mistakenly thought it was a pre-existing relationship (which I prefer if an RH has MM) rather than a bi-awakening. This is a me preference, so I don't take anything away for that. However, the speed in which this sexual awakening and relationship developed was unbelievable and just not doing it for me. The one guy Killian, identifies as pansexual, also at this point he is the only one who had been sexual with the FMC-going so far as admitting feelings for her and wanting to plan time with her after the competition. At no point when initially meeting him does he mention that he is pansexual, so when that comes up I was a bit surprised, I thought the MM would be between 2-3 of the 3 existing guy friends-Rex, Leander, and Gray. The other guy in this relationship is Gray, who up until TWO DAYS prior to meeting Killian, identified as heterosexual. And lets be frank in those two days these guys have suffered through an explosion, a sinking boat, fighting to reach land, being separated from 3 members of their party (Daisy, Leander, and Keyara float to a neighboring island), have to find food, water, make fire and look for shelter. And during all that emotional and physical turmoil (and very short time span), this guy for the first time ever has it in him to start lusting after another dude out of the blue . I just don't buy it; it would have been much more believable had it been a gradual awakening, over at the bare minimum of a few weeks to months. Nope, instead on day two they are both giving each other BJ's and shortly after we're told Gray has already screwed Killian. Why? It's a duet, you have time to build this up.
My other complaint is I don't understand why the FMC did not tell Harvey that she was pretending to be her sister, she had told everyone else. This leads her to being (sort of) sexually assaulted by Harvey. I say sort of, because Harvey and the sister enjoyed a kink with punishment and apparently CNC, so Harv didn't realize he was assaulting her, he thought they were just acting out one of their scenes. The FMC is mature enough to realize he wasn't at fault, but it doesn't help her emotional state. Something that never would have happened had she told him the truth as soon as they appeared on the island. It read like manufactured drama for drama's sake.
Also, why go to all the trouble of stressing how much the FMC is not like her badass sister. She states repeatedly that she's just a children's librarian who likes the softer things in life as opposed to her hard living sister. Yet, when the shit hits the fan she basically turns into this great survivalist-granted she had training from her Dad, but we are told how she repeatedly failed at everything he tried to teach her (or at least come in second to her sister). I thought we'd see her struggle more. I get that it illustrates to her and other's that she's more than what she thinks she is, but why present her as this semi granny type figure in the first place when (up until I dnf'd) she makes all the right moves and choices, saving the day on more than one occasion?
I may finish this at a later time, but for now it's in my dnf pile.
Honestly my favorite book i’ve read this year and will definitely continue to be. The writing style is great, the character development is great, and the comedy is peak. Honestly the only reason i’m giving it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because of the sex scenes. I honestly had to pass over them and not necessarily because the writing was bad but because of the scenery. I could not get past the technical details of them on the island. The whole time I was just thinking about how dirty, smelly, and sandy they would be. Honestly when they were home I still passed over the scenes but it was so much easier to read because I could imagine them clean.
The found family trope was so well done and if I were to reread this it would definitely be for that.
I really enjoyed this story and all of the characters within it. They were a great balance of sweet, serious and funny. Especially loved Leander and how he was inappropriate and yet managed to keep everyone’s spirits up while stranded and in danger. The plot was an interesting take on being marooned and the peril felt real and so did the love that they all had for each . The HEA was very special and I truly enjoyed the palette cleanser that this wonderful duet offered!
This book was so fun and heartwarming 💕 there were parts that made me laugh, cry and some that made me jump with giddiness. I loved all of Daisy's men, each with their own background and trauma. You could kinda guess some things that were gonna happen but it still was great. Daisy is such a strong female lead but still vulnerable and caring. Definitely gonna be a top 10 RH for me!
This was a wonderfully adventurous read. So many emotions and crazy situations that pale in comparison to real life but somehow actually embodies real life. ::SPOILERS:: Love that two MMCs are actually together. I think I’ve read one other book in all my years of reading that actually build that bridge. I love love and this duet was so good. I was stressed for sure but it was worth it.
A great read and while I’ve never been shipwrecked I found the challenges to be realistic and believable. Daisy was a wonderful character that drew people to her unlike her identical twin she is pretending to be. That gig is soon up and relationships grow being stranded alone. I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Truly one of the best reversed harem books I’ve read and believe me I’ve read a lot!!! The story line was so unique , it kept me interested from the beginning to the end. The characters were all so well portrayed. Everyone had different personalities and characteristics and it blended so well. I loved this book!! Soooooo gooooood!!
I gotta admit this book made me nervous. I'm not sure why I picked it but it sat on my kindle for a good while before I got up the courage to read it. Boy was I surprised! It was just good fun and I felt like I was on that island.
The writing was not for me it felt very juvenile and I could not get over the fact Kilian said in his thoughts he was physically attracted to her twin at one point .I tried to push past it but could not get over it and the writing did not get better.
