"Steamy, romantic and surprisingly tender, Bonds of Trust is great for those wanting to add some spice to their reading." –Roni Loren, New York Times bestselling author
Bonds of Trust
After ending her passionless marriage, Cali Reynolds is eager to live out her forbidden fantasies. Her first step is attending new members' night at The Den, the most exclusive sex club in town. Perhaps here she can find a man who understands her desire to be dominated…
At first, Jake McCallister thinks Cali has come to his club for the wrong reasons. But when he discovers she's seeking fulfillment after years of denial, he's intrigued—and takes it upon himself to initiate her into the pleasures she's been missing.
Bonds of Need
When Kendra Morgan attends a party at an exclusive sex club, she's not driven by mere curiosity. Hoping to prove she's put the past behind her, Kendra must instead face up to needs she's denied for too long. Despite her lingering fears, she can't resist the temptation to play…
Deklan Winters has had his eye on his attractive neighbor for months, but only realizes Kendra is no stranger to the BDSM scene when she walks into his club. And he can tell that's not her only secret. What surprises him is his own overwhelming desire to give her what she craves—and to show her a side to the dom/sub relationship she's never known.
I love to read. It's a simple fact that has been true since I discovered the worlds of Judy Blume at the age of ten. After years of weekly travel as a consultant implementing computer software into global companies, I ended my nomadic lifestyle to raise my two children. Now, my imagination is my only limitation on where I can go and my writing lets me escape from the daily duties of being a mom, wife, chauffeur, scheduler, cook, teacher, cleaner, and mediator.
If writing wasn't a priority, it would never get done.
This is a case of it's not you it's me. There is nothing wrong with the book, at least the portion I read, but I didn't really care for the writing style and struggled to get into the storyline.
This was a very enjoyable read! There is nothing I love more than relaxing with a big paperback(400+ pages)and this book did not disappoint. I hadn't read anything by this author before but I had heard other bloggers praise her Wicked Play series. BDSM Romances are my absolute favorite! Plus, this book contains not one but the two first novels from the series! I'm so glad I purchased this book! Lynda Aicher is a very talented writer and I look forward to read more of her stories in the future!
Bonds of Trust #1- Jake & Cali's Story A divorced 44yr old woman, Cali has always desired to be dominated sexuialy but she fears the look of disgust from her friends & family more, if they knew she enjoyed the BDSM lifestyle. She finally gets the courage to join The Den, the most exclusive BDSM Club in town. Owned by three Doms, Deklan, Jake & Seth, they cater to their members needs for kink and privacy. Politicians, Celebs, etc. Jake takes Cali on as his sub and teaches her to not be ashamed of her needs and the beauty of Dom/Sub relationships. Smoking hot sex scenes and a beautiful love story!
Bonds of Need #2- Deklan & Kendra's Story Kendra and Cali are good friends as well as neighbors. Kendra knows the BDSM lifestyle very well but after being used and abused badly by her ex, she doesn't trust anyone, especially male Doms. Kendra gives in to her needs one night when she visits the club as a guest of Cali & Jake. Deklan sees the experienced submissive in Kendra and wants to claim her for himself. They're first scene is intense, hot and beautifully written. When he sees the scars on her body he knows exactly what happened to her and he'll do what ever it takes to help her heal, trust and find happiness again! More steamy sessions and another beautiful love story! I highly recommend this series to fans of BDSM Romances! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Two stories in one novel so this was definitely a good deal.
Bonds of Trust: Cali spent over 20 years in a marriage that just did not fulfill her. After her divorce is final she's finally ready to search for that missing part of herself which she finds at a private BDSM club. Co-owner Jake has a wandering spirit and is ready to leave but one last personal tour of the club introduces him to Cali. He doesn't know what it is about her but she's the sub he didn't know he wanted. As their exploration and relationship grows they both have walls that need to come down for the to every find true happiness.
Bonds of Need: Kendra spent years in a relationship that she thought she wanted but when the abuse became too much she ran. But there were still parts of herself she couldn't deny. A night at a private BDSM club reminds her of the parts of herself that she's hiding and co-owner Deklan gives her the chance to explore her desires. Deklan never wanted feelings to come in to his arrangement with Kendra but the more time he spends with her he realizes how strong she is and will do anything he can to help her realize the strength she has inside. A really loved her Deklan did not push but helped Kendra accept her desires and provided a safe outlet to explore. A really great series and I can't wait to continue!
Cali Reynolds leaves a 22 year old marriage due to lack of passion and sex . When she discovers The Den, she realizes her fantasies with Jake—one of the owners of the club and her Dom. As Cali becomes more confident and accepts her new lifestyle, she is still hesitant to share these changes with her close female friends.
For Jake, his relationship with Cali appears ideal and causes him to rethink his plans to leave his business at The Den.
In the hands of Lynda Aicher, the characters of both Cali and Jake are multi-dimensional and we appreciate the conflicts Cali has with her daughter, her ex and Jake.
Bonds of Need is the story of Kendra, who is a neighbour and friend of Cali’s. Kendra’s story is different; she has been involved in BDSM with her ex and was a member of a club for four years.
Both stories stand on their own, but it was compelling to learn how the two different women handle the challenges.
I joined Goodreads and decided to sign up for every book I could with the idea of reading and reviewing whatever came my way, this was the second giveaway book I received.
Firstly, this massive tome took me a while to finish as I found the stories both a bit on the slow paced side, also both were a little predictable and even boring in places. I liked "Bonds of Trust" a bit more but I had a hard time with the characters.
Extra points for the BDSM aspects of the books coming off as consensual, sensual acts and not glorified tales a abuse.
I can't say that I really disliked anything about this book, it simply just did`t grab me.
