Camy Tang

Camy writes Christian romantic suspense, contemporary romance, and cozy mystery as Camy Tang and Regency romance under her pen name, Camille Elliot. She grew up in Hawaii but now lives in northern California with her engineer husband and rambunctious dog. She graduated from Stanford University in psychology with a focus on biology, but for nine years she worked as a biologist researcher. Then God guided her path in a completely different direction and now she’s writing full time, using her original psychology degree as she creates the characters in her novels. In her free time, she’s a staff worker for her church youth group and leads one of her church’s Sunday worship teams. She also loves to knit, spin wool into yarn, and is training to (very slowly) run a marathon.

REVIEW: This final book in the Sonoma mystery series will capture your attention from beginning to end. I truly hated to see this series end as I really enjoyed the characters throughout this series and their strong interconnections. Joslyn and Clay both came from abusive pasts whether physical or verbal. They had both made wrong choices. But the strength they gained as a team trying to find Clay's half-sister, Fiona, made them each realize that God did give second chances and that they were stronger than they each believed. This book is fast-paced, thrill-a-minute action with a faith element threaded throughout. It's theme of hurting people learning to trust God and each other was a point all of us need to remember. Definitely a great faith based suspense filled with a touch of romance. Well done Camy Tang!

FAVORITE QUOTES: "Love covers a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8)

"You paid your debt. It's in the past."

"God would continue to take care of the two of them, to create something good out of the pain of their pasts. She only had to surrender to God. To love."

Gone Missing by Camy Tang
Sonoma Series Book Six
Joslyn Dimalanta's story began in the previous book,Treacherous Intent. She was hidden out at Wings, a Christian women's shelter. A much stronger woman than she was a year ago, Joslyn now works for the O'Neill Agency as she finishes school and learns to be a skip tracer. She needs to use her new skills to find her missing friend. Something she still needs to learn is that not all men are like her abusive ex-boyfriend.

Clay Ashton has made many mistakes in his past. Some of those mistakes had landed him in prison for a few years. Another of those mistakes was pushing his half sister aside when she tried to get him from working with a Chicago mob family. Now Fiona is missing and he needs to find her. To have a second chance at being a better brother.

As Clay and Joslyn work together to find Fiona, they find themselves in danger. It seems someone wants them dead. So begins their adventure to find Fiona and shake off the bad guys. Joslyn needs to put her new faith into action and trust God, while also trusting a man. This story and the others in this series are fast moving and danger is always breathing down the characters necks. Through it all, faith grows and romance blooms.

Gone Missing is by Camy Tang.
Joslyn Dimalanta has come to her friend’s home in Phoenix. Fiona Crowley had sent her a postcard saying she was in trouble. As a skip tracer, Joslyn hoped to find some clues in Phoenix that will tell her where Fiona is. However, she had not planned on running into Fiona’s brother, Clay. Nor did she anticipate her attraction to him.
Clay was Fiona’s half-brother. When his mother and Fiona’s father split, Fiona stayed with her father and Clay was forced to go with his mother. Fiona’s father cared only for money and his blood line. Therefore, Fiona was important but Clay wasn’t. Clay has just returned from serving a two year prison sentence for theft when he receives a phone call from Fiona saying she needs his help.
It has taken both Joslyn and Clay three weeks to locate Fiona’s address and to arrive in Phoenix. Ironically they show up at Fiona’s at the same time. Luckily for Joslyn they did. When they opened the back door to the house, Clay noticed a tripwire and threw Joslyn to the ground and covered her as an explosion ripped through the door. Why, if Fiona is gone, did someone rig her house to blow? What is going on? Is Fiona alive and in hiding or what? Why are they after Joslyn and Clay now?
It is a good book and one that kept me interested; but it wasn’t anything special.

Gone Missing by Camy Tang. Number 6 of the Sonoma series. I liked it that you could read this book without having to read the other ones. It was a romance suspense and the ending was in this book. Don't have to wait to read the next book in the series. I like books like this. The characters from the other books were in this book. It brought all the characters together, but still focused on the main characters in this book. Joslyn Dimalanta is a "skip tracer". She is looking for Fiona, the sister of Clay Ashton. Clay use to work for the mob. He ended up in prison. He is out of prison now and trying to put that life behind him. When he gets a phone call from his sister, Fiona, asking for help when the line went dead. While looking for Fiona is when Clay meets Joslyn. They work together trying to find Fiona. Several times they are almost killed while looking for Fiona. Two bad guys are determined to stop them from looking for Fiona. Lots of suspense. A very good read.

This author certainly knows how to write a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story had me pulled into the story line from the first pages and I read it in one setting because i couldn't put it down. It is also a wonderful story of hurting people learning to trust God and each other as they go from one dangerous situation to the next. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good combination of faith based suspense and romance.

Camy Tang drew me into this suspense thriller from the first page; as always, she keeps you hooked until the very end. I enjoyed the characters in the story, and I didn't fully foresee all of the twists and turns that happened. The spiritual element of the book is, in my opinion, perfectly done. It is an integral part of the story, but yet isn't overdone. If you like inspirational suspense, I highly recommend this one!

In all honestly, I dove into this book expecting a quick and easy read. I fell in love with the two main characters and could not seem to put the book down. Although, I'm not a very religious person and I saw a majority of that towards the end which ruined the book for me.

I rate novels on whether I would like to re-read it in the future. Its fast-paced and this book has just the right amount of romance. I like that every chapter has action scenes that would put me on edge and kept me hooked. Camy Tang also included God in their lives, so that's a plus.
