Born and raised in Chicago, IL, writing has always been a passion for Jessica Cage. She dabbles in artistic creations of all sorts but at the end of the day, it's the pen that her hand itches to hold. Jessica had never considered following her dream to be a writer because she was told far too often "There is no money in writing." So she chose the path most often traveled. During pregnancy she asked herself an important question. How would she be able to inspire her unborn son to follow his dreams and reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself? Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be. She hopes to continue writing and bringing her signature Caged Fantasies to readers everywhere.

I have read the first and second book in the series. So, naturally, I got the third so I didn't break the habit I had formed.

Throughout this series you are faced with people who seem ordinary, and slowly come to find that they are extraordinary. They face problems and situations that would usually have my eyes rolling, but Jessica has managed to keep my interest and that can sometimes be a difficult task. Women rule in her vampy world, and the men serve to protect them and love them. (That is me summing it up in a sentence.)

These novels are deep and in their own way inspiring. I would suggest that if you have not read the first two novels, don't dive in head first with the third in the series. Go back and read revitalized and Guidance of Rasmiyah before you sink your fangs into this one.

Full of twists and turns, drama and action and love and ... well, gangers... I enjoyed it and think that they are a great read.

After Alexa saved Layla, Lamar, Nana, and Jazz, she shuts down emotionally and physically, locked away in her mind. She saw her serve, Lacal, get beat and taken by the Navare. While Alexa is locked away, the world around her is going insane. Jazz finds out important information about who she is and the entire vampire race is preparing for the attack from the Darkness and the Navare.
I was once again sucked into this series. Jessica has a way of making thigns around you disappear until it feels like you are literally standing in the temple with the rest of the vamps. I liked finding out more about the other characters, instead of just Alexa, yet at the same time we learned so much about Alexa too. She really is strong and worthy of her title. To have her soul mate taken from her and there be nothing she could do for him would break anyone, but Alexa stayed strong and fought in the end. The only negative thing I would have to say about this book is the switching between characters POV’s without prior knowledge. One minute it would be in Jazz’s pov and then the next it would be an entire different character. Sometimes I felt a tab bit confused, before figuring it out. Jessica once again left it with a cliffhanger that makes me want to count down the days until the next one comes out. Overall it is a great YA paranormal series.

I have enjoyed this series and have to say that the third book so far is my favourite.

There was action, drama, romance and some very tense moments where I really wasn't sure what the outcome would be, keeping me gripped throughout.

I really liked having the chapters done by different view points of the characters, I feel this brings another dimension to the story and we get an insight into all of the characters.

Throughout all the books I have loved Alexa and Lacal and many of the others as well, and for me this is very important because if I don't feel connected to the characters I can't ever really get into the story. But with this whole series and this book I felt connected with all of them and I desperately wanted them all to succeed in their own battles they were fighting.

I loved the ending, it was very gripping and tense but I am assuming...and hoping...there will be another book because it didn't feel complete and I need more of a concrete happy ending than what was at the end of this book.

Well done to the author for creating a very original story and continuing with it throughout the 3 books so far, even though it's vampires, it's very different to anything I have read before and I've really enjoyed being immersed into this world.

After reading the last book in this series I had to continue on with this the third installment of the series and let me tell you it is even better than the second! I feel closer to Alexa and Jazz and everything made me a wreck of emotions during the whole thing pretty much. Anxiously awaiting book 4!!
