I have read the first and second book in the series. So, naturally, I got the third so I didn't break the habit I had formed.
Throughout this series you are faced with people who seem ordinary, and slowly come to find that they are extraordinary. They face problems and situations that would usually have my eyes rolling, but Jessica has managed to keep my interest and that can sometimes be a difficult task. Women rule in her vampy world, and the men serve to protect them and love them. (That is me summing it up in a sentence.)
These novels are deep and in their own way inspiring. I would suggest that if you have not read the first two novels, don't dive in head first with the third in the series. Go back and read revitalized and Guidance of Rasmiyah before you sink your fangs into this one.
Full of twists and turns, drama and action and love and ... well, gangers... I enjoyed it and think that they are a great read.
