This is a fantastic quick read!!!! I usually do not bother with short Novella's but this was great! I work at a college so it was easy to identify with the characters. I love how Julianna feels so empowered and how vulnerable Kirk is!!! I am currently half way through the second book. I highly suggest this for anyone! Its sexy and funny!!! Great job Hazel Kelly!

July 22, 2025I’m not going to rate this one because I heavily skimmed it. It’s a short story about a college student (female) who likes to tease and seduce different men for entertainment and for challenges set by her girl friend group.
In this one she is after a new professor at her college, one who is recently engaged to a devoutly religious woman who will not engage in s3xual stuff until after marriage and thinks he is not either, including solo times, which of course he is doing a lot of.

Tired of authors always referring to that stupid 50 shade book. My biggest turn off when reading, you get one less star ⭐ rating. The story was okay another smart chick coed who uses her p**sy to navigate a grade she can get by using her brain.

Julianna Foster is such a pretty and smart girl and could have any guy that she wanted but she feels that all the guys now have lost meaning that is up until she meets her new professor.
Professor Kirk Jenkins couldn't be happier as he has got a job at the local university, the love of his life has agreed to marry him and he has moved closer to her parents house. He is looking forward to starting their life together but when he happens to catch the eye of Jemma he has no idea how things are going to turn out.

Just so you know that this is a three part series that will keep you hanging to your seats until the very end, I fell in love with the characters in this book as their story is such a deep one and will touch your heart.

This book took me by surprise, and I believe it's because of the superb writing by the author. The writing grabbed me from the get go and I was hooked before the bet was even made. The characters leapt off the page and intrigued me enough to want to learn more about them. Julianna teased her way through most of the story, and the author definitely pulled off the same through the writing style she chose. I enjoyed the plot and the set up, but my favorite aspect of the story was the way that each chapter would change from the perspectives of the two main characters. The events were seen from each perspective and little bits and pieces were given from each. I loved the reactions of the characters and the cat and mouse game Julianna was playing. She was very conniving. It reminded me of a much more adult version of "She's All That". Makes me want to read more by this author.

And now that the woman of his dreams had agreed to marry him, it looked like everything was going to work out exactly as he'd hoped. But when sex obsessed undergrad Julianna Foster decides to seduce him to impress her friends, Kirk doesn't stand a chance. And once Julianna gets a taste for his attention, nothing will stop her from setting them on a course that will change their lives forever. This was a short quick read that was ok I had a problem with Julianna seducing her teacher knowing that he had someone else and with Kirk for cheating. This was my first time reading this author.

I actually really liked it lol
Since the book was free and it was right up my alley in terms of what I was looking for, I downloaded it on a whim and I must say.......I actually really liked it. Lol Yes I think maybe the prolonged dialogue and other things could be worked on, BUT I think there was a great premise to the story. I really wished this was a full length novel. Lol I would recommend it for anyone looking a for a simple quick read.

At first, I thought this would be another teacher-student storyline, and it is. But, it was not like other I've read. Instead of really falling for the teacher, she take it as a challenge and keep him falling for her instead. When I've read the last page, I couldn't resist to read the sequel.

A quick read which is good as it just want my cup of tea. A college student who proses herself on knowing everything about sex and using it to get her way. Then having a bet with one of her friends that she couldn't use it to get an A in her Phsyc class from her new professor. When it worked though she wasn't happy......

Quick read and very interesting. Am looking forward to see if Kirk stays with wholesome Madeline or is helpless in Julianna's spell. Also interested to see how this plays out if/when Kirk finds out Julianna's dad is the dean of the college. What started off as a challenge for Julianna might have backfired on her - can't wait to find out!

This was a quick easy read. Very well written. The author was able to pack in a lot of background, feelings and dialogue into a short story (novella). Not sure if I'll purchase the next books in the series but was a great price (free).

'Licked' was definitely a hot and steamy novella. The storyline was interesting. What I didn't expect was Julianna's reaction in the end. I look forward to reading more of this series to see how Kirk handles every thing. A good read.

Good start to the series. Well written, decent character development. Any issues with the subject matter are my own, and not a reflection of the author, or the story itself. I may read the next two installments, to see where the story goes.

I want to like Kirk. I'm starting to, but he should be able to have some self control. I don't like Juliana. She's a selfish, conceited user. It sounds like she is a real Ho and proud of it.
