A vanished treasure. A dangerous ally. A billionaire with everything to lose.
In 1907, Ireland’s Crown Jewels were stolen from Dublin Castle and never recovered. Over a century later, whispers of their reappearance ripple through the criminal underworld.
When billionaire fitness magnate Cedric Newman sends his fixer Hans Fischer to secure the priceless relic, betrayal strikes. Hans is framed, the jewels vanish, and Cedric abandons him—convinced his trusted man was part of the theft.
Seven years later, Hans walks free, swearing innocence. Against his instincts, Cedric gives him one last chance. Together, they plunge into a globe-spanning hunt from the deserts of Arizona to the historic streets of Boston and the neon glare of Las Vegas. But ruthless rivals and buried secrets close in fast—and Cedric must decide whether loyalty is his greatest strength or his fatal flaw.
Explosive, fast-paced, and packed with intrigue, An Irish Mystery launches the Newman Adventure series—perfect for fans of Clive Cussler, Steve Berry, and James Rollins.
D.C. Salmon delivers pulse-pounding adventure thrillers rooted in historical secrets. My books take real, unsolved mysteries and resurrect them with modern-day action, high-stakes puzzles, and globe-spanning chases. If you love the historical treasure hunts of authors like Clive Cussler, you'll find a new favorite here. The debut novel, An Irish Mystery, launches the Newman Adventure series with a quest for the long-lost Irish Crown Jewels, stolen from Dublin Castle in 1907. Follow me here for the latest on the series and join the hunt. I'm also a diehard fan of Peterborough United and the Edmonton Oilers.
What I love about the Newman Adventure series is how it turns lost treasures from the past into deeply personal modern-day conflicts. An Irish Mystery hooked me with the missing Crown Jewels, but Cedric Newman and Hans Fischer’s complicated journey through betrayal, trust, loyalty, and second chances gave the adventure its real emotional weight.
American Treasure takes that foundation and expands it beautifully. The legendary Mosby Hoard becomes more than a fortune to recover,it becomes a battle over history, legacy, obsession, and what people are willing to sacrifice for what they believe is theirs. Lando Spock’s relentless pursuit gives Cedric and his team an entirely different kind of threat.
Across both books, the historical mysteries, international adventures, dangerous rivals, and strong character conflicts kept me engaged. The stories are fast-paced without losing the human questions underneath the action. If you enjoy treasure hunts where the real stakes are trust, loyalty, and the people willing to risk everything for the past, this series is well worth discovering.
Salmon masterfully blends Indiana Jones, adventure with Ocean’s Eleven slickness. Hans Fischer’s quest isn’t just about jewels, it’s about reclaiming his stolen life. The real triumph? Daniela Fischer: a genius sister hiding explosive secrets that redefine family loyalty. Henry Cooper’s safecracking antics inject dark humor, while the Irish Crown Jewels’ history lends weight. A rare gem where action and emotion shine.
An Irish Mystery is an explosive and gripping adventure from start to finish. D.C. Salmon blends history, action, and intrigue perfectly as Cedric and Hans dive into a dangerous hunt for the lost Crown Jewels. The twists hit hard, the pacing never slows, and the loyalty-versus-betrayal tension keeps you hooked. A thrilling start to the Newman Adventure series!
An Irish Mystery is finally here! I poured everything into crafting a gripping thriller with lost treasure, a man with nothing to lose, and secrets spanning centuries. The hardest part was finessing the intricate plot and ensuring every detail advanced the story without bogging down the pace. Proud of this first step in the Newman Adventure.
I thought that this was a disappointing read. The story dragged for me, the story seemed disjointed to me at times, and I found some of the narrative quite dreary. I still had several unanswered questions after the conclusion of the story. I thought the e-Book would benefit from another round of editing to pick up some continuity issues.
