After reading the description and sample, I can already tell Bound by Her Father’s Decree has all the makings of a gripping YA fantasy. The setup immediately pulled me in a strong willed heroine, Rose Harroway, thrust into the rigid world of Garrison War College, where loyalty and power are constantly tested. The dynamic between Rose and Kaison Night hints at tension, secrets, and slow burn chemistry that feels both believable and compelling.

What really caught my attention is the layered worldbuilding the idea of “human against dragon” and a mysterious force concentrated among a select few adds a unique twist to the typical military academy fantasy. The writing in the sample feels vivid and immersive, with a tone that perfectly balances youthful determination and deeper, ancient magic simmering beneath the surface.
