Is it possible that everything we think we know about God, and what God wants, is wrong?Could humanity's ideas about all this be the greatest inaccuracies . . . ever? Would it matter if they were? The author of the multi-million-selling Conversations with God series places the question squarely before our world in another blockbuster book that could move our species closer to true spiritual revolution on the Earth, changing humanity's future for the better, forever. In direct and spiritually challenging language, Walsch here exposes the many ways in which he believes that humanity completely misunderstands God. He then describes in clear terms how the world could change overnight if humans accurately comprehended what God is, what God wants, who they are in relation to that, and to each other. Walsch calls this the “Missing Data” which, if ever embraced and acted on by our species, would create a spiritual revolution across the globe, bringing humanity both inner and outer peace at last. Does anybody care why our species has been such a failure? Does anybody imagine it has not been? Does anybody want to know how this whole situation can be turned around in the virtual blink of an eye? If you do care about those questions, then you will read this book.NEALE DONALD WALSCH is the author of nine books in the Conversations with God series, which have sold over ten million copies in 37 languages. He is one of the major authors in the new spirituality movement, having written 28 other books, with eight books on the New York Times bestseller’s list. His life and work have helped to create and sustain a worldwide spiritual renaissance, and he travels globally to bring the uplifting message of the CwG books to people everywhere.
Neale Donald Walsch is a modern day spiritual messenger whose words continue to touch the world in profound ways. With an early interest in religion and a deeply felt connection to spirituality, Neale spent the majority of his life thriving professionally, yet searching for spiritual meaning before beginning his now famous conversation with God. His With God series of books has been translated into 34 languages, touching millions of lives and inspiring important changes in their day-to-day lives.
In addition to authoring the renowned With God series, Neale has published 16 other works, as well as a number of video and audio programs. Available throughout the world, each of the CwG dialogue books has made the New York Times Bestseller list, Conversations with God-Book 1 occupying that list for over two and half years.
The With God Series has redefined God and shifted spiritual paradigms around the globe. In order to deal with the enormous response to his writings, Neale created the Conversations with God Foundation, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to inspiring the world to help itself move from violence to peace, from confusion to clarity, and from anger to love.
Neale's work has taken him from the steps of Macchu Picchu in Peru to the steps of the Shinto shrines of Japan, from Red Square in Moscow to St. Peters Square in Vatican City to Tiananmen Square in China. And everywhere he has gone-from South Africa to Norway, Croatia to The Netherlands, the streets of Zurich to the streets of Seoul, Neale has found a hunger among the people to find a new way to live, at last, in peace and harmony, and he has sought to bring people a new understanding of life and of God which would allow them to experience that."
This book truly rocked my world and gave me a whole new way of describing God! It also helped me to heal much of the limiting, damaging programming I was raised with about God and the Universe. I feel like I've finally been able to see it all for the dillusion and lies it is, and as those old beliefs have been healed and integrated, the glorious TRUTH has been able to shine through more fully.
While this book really did confirm and affirm what I already knew to be true about God and the Universe, it did so in a way that was not redundant and repetitive, but rather expansive, illuminating and ultimately so very freeing and healing! I *highly* recommend this book to anyone who's been raised with a more traditional view of God (whether Christian, Muslim, Judaism, or ANY other religion) and desires to know the TRUTH about who you really are and who God really is.
As a profound yet simply stated discussion of humankind’s deepest held beliefs, this book makes a great deal of sense. What most impresses me is the impeccable logic Neale Donald Walsch uses to clearly articulate humankind's deepest held beliefs about God and the purpose of our lives. The book invites readers, regardless of orientation or background, not to change our beliefs, but to enlarge upon our understanding of these beliefs, as well as the impact these beliefs have on every aspect of our lives. The content is offered in an interesting, and non-threatening way. The book opens up a plethora of questions that are well worth examining. I believe it to be one of the most interesting and important books of our time, a book that should be not only read but shared and discussed.
My mind is so blown, I am at risk of writing gibberish! I feel almost speechless. This book is important, very important. The Human Race needs to read this mind-expanding, courageous piece of writing. As Neale Donald Walsch states, it is not to convince you of anything, nor to change your Religion, nor to make those of no belief take up any Religion, but to propose to you some ideas that might be worth exploring. I will leave it at that. Please read it.
Echt tolles Buch!
Catchy title but terrible content. The author does not back up his points with science, historical facts, or biblical references. Basically it's his theory on God.
My book club welcomed this read and was excited about the information within. Some of it was repetitious info from his other books, but who doesn't need to hear things more than once? I will paraphrase the things that stood out or me. We are here to own our divinity and express joy; as a species we are very young and that immaturity helps me understand some of the human behavior I see; and understanding instead of forgiveness is the hallmark of a master. Our oneness and caring for each other is something I am focusing on, and I am happy Walsch's message is being broadcast so loudly.
This book was written in a way that was simple to understand, yet deeply thought provoking. I would recommend it to anyone who is searching for the answers to those questions that have been nagging at them regarding deep spiritual issues. Beware if you are looking for a book that does not challenge what you were taught in Sunday school, but please don't let this keep you from reading it.
My friend Elena gave me this book. She raved about it. Now I know why! I have grown in fashioning my own spirituality through out my life...this book definitely put a lot of my thoughts and questions in a new and fresh perspective. OMG, the "what ifs" are astounding and yet so obvious. If you have wrestled with those "what ifs," YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! You may discover new answers to old questions.
I don’t respond well to books telling me how to think. Apparently god speaks to the author. He makes sweeping generalisations such as, ‘people fear god and therefore they fear love’. I tried to be open minded reading this but I reached my limit after several chapters of endless preachiness and BS (DNF).
At first I was concerned this was going to be blasphemy or radical ranting - until it started to make sense. It didn't take long for me to sit up and pay attention - which made me wonder if I was just being gullible. I'm not sure if any of that matters. It made me think about things with an open mind (which is definitely a necessity if you have any strong beliefs in God and organized religion). Bottom line - I don't think it should shatter anyone's faith in whatever they might believe; possibly make it stronger. It's definitely food for thought. I plan to check out his series on Conversations with God. We'll see how that goes.
I've enjoyed many of NDW's books. His beginning was a new breath of air. This book is different. Read it with an open mind. It is not easy at all because what you were raised with or have studied will all be wrong. Hence the 2nd title of this book. There are going to be a lot of topics that will make you have an open discussion, where honestly you can and aren't wrong at the same time. Good luck with this book.
This author claims to receive instruction from God. His believe in God is very similar to the beliefs of Hale Dwoskin who wrote the Sedona Method. I enjoyed this author's viewpoint and his viewpoint encouraged me to believe more in the Sedona Method viewpoint as they are so similar. I am glad I read this book.
I have had the pleasure of reading this book again. It offers me a chance to go over something that I didn't get or didn't remember. Like all of the CWG books, will be read again and again.
What the world needs to hear to bring us together in these times. The remembrance that we are all one. Time to change the way we think so we can affect our behaviors.
Yes, I've had questions for many years now. Unfortunately the pastor wasn't very accommodating. You have to believe like the rest or you are out. "Out" proved to be the better decision.
God is the one whom we consider the companion of our sorrows and joys. God is the one in front of whom we pray for our incomplete wishes. God is the one whom we recognize in painful moments and difficult situations. We had been taught several things related to God; some says God exists within us and some says God is all around us in every single atom. The book works as a guide in understanding the various terms related to God and uncovering the knowledge of humans about God.
The simple title of the book gives a blur hint about the insights of the book. Then there comes the blurb which will give a concise description about the book. I was in a tizzy when I completed reading the blurb. After reading the blurb the readers will be latched to the chapters very soon. The book will tell the readers very deeply about the presence of God. The book is about the God and about his believes.
It is alwasys similar to Neale's work as it comes from the same books but is presented differently. You might find it a bit of a repeat if you read all his work but for someone not familiar with it or who has just read 1 or 2, it is a blunt and refreshing way of getting people to think and start a good conversation.
I've read most of Neal Walsh's books and enjoyed them all. I think a lot of people would like to be open and believe his dialog with God is indeed real as it makes so much sense when you allow yourself to think "what if". I for one always feel a lot more at ease about life and even death after reading his work. The message here really needs to be heard.
First heard of this book through a guest speaker at my Church and it has made me totally rethink how I see the Divine. When a book makes you stop, say woah, then chuckle after saying wow you know that is a keeper.
I really enjoyed this book, however, and I think it gave me a fresh perspective on Walsch's writings, even after listening to the CWG trilogy 3 times to date.
