Originally reviewed as part of the Lovers Unmasked Anthology.
I love the friends to lovers genre and this book telling Stephanie and Landon’s story is no exception, it had some absolutely hilarious laugh out loud moments from the get go, beginning at the Halloween party they are both at in disguise –
“I want your cock in my mouth.”
“Wow, really?”Steff looked up to find a grim reaper blocking her path and nearly choked in her haste to mutter an apology. “No, God, no. I’m sorry. I wasn’t— I didn’t mean—”
The reaper deflated like a pensioner when the Viagra ran out. “Figured. That never happens to me.” He shuffled off before she could apologize again.
And then there were the totally hot moments -
“I don’t know all your fantasies yet, but I will. This is one of mine.”
And Craig (best friend to both of them) is one of the funniest secondary characters I have come across in a while; I kind of hope Cari gives him his own novella at some point.

Well, well, well...I had been looking forward to the release of this book, but after being thoroughly disenchanted by new book releases at the time, I'd decided to leave reading it for a bit. And now...now I'm kicking myself that I did.
Though it's short and oh so sweet, it was the perfect read. You know that there's going to be a happy ending, but regardless, you still keep on reading, wanting to know what's going to happen, because the characters and the story is so thoroughly enjoyable and addictive.
The sex is spot on, full of pent up passion and love that as a reader, I just crave!!! The secondary characters were memorable and loveable, but they didn't take over the show and drown out the main characters. The writing, considering the kind of book this was, was very well done and the eBook was edited and formatted very well. Not once did I see a than when there should have been a then. YAY!!!
If you're in the mood for a book to break your craptacular crap run, then I suggest you pick this one up and give it a crack, as it just might be the pallet cleanser that it was for me!!!

Despite being OTT and full of cliches, this short novella of best friends discovering that they were perfect for each other worked for me. It’s probably because it’s a fun trope when done in a short form contemporary romance novella. I did skim a little - usually around the sexy bits which get a bit dull (par for the course for me) but this did take my mind of IRL crap so I was pleased. I will probably check out more by this author.

Holy crap this book was hot! Landon and Stephanie have been friends since college. Steff has been in love with him for a while, but he backed off because he doesn't want to have feelings for her. Steff uses a Halloween party to disguise herself and gets Landon to sleep with her. When their relationship starts to build on its own, that secret may destroy what they were building.
I loved the friends to lovers story, the hero was smokin and dirty talking. Quick read but I enjoyed it.

If a mofo was between my legs going down on me and then stopped and said, "I can't do this" and left!?! I'd punch you right in the d*ck!!!!
Other than that - This is a fluff piece and you get the normal stuff. Sex is decent. Story is repetitive and shallow.
Audio sucks.

2.5 stars. Not bad, but nothing special. The characters were just missing something. I never really liked either of them. The sex was hot (at times) but it too was missing something. 3/5.

Tempted by His Best Friend was previously released as a part of the Lovers Unmasked anthology, but is now available individually. As soon as I read the blurb and saw the sexy new cover, I absolutely had to read this one. Cari Quinn did a fantastic job with this novella, and I loved every bit of it! It was sexy and fun, while also having the emotional connection I was looking for between the hero and heroine. I highly recommend this story, and I can't wait to read more from Cari Quinn!
Stephanie is tired of going unnoticed by her best friend Landon. She has had feelings for him for awhile, but over the past year he has been pushing her away. Though she wants more, she also misses the easy friendship they used to share. Determined to finally catch his attention, she dresses up as a sexy fox with a mask to keep her real identity hidden. Can Stephanie finally show Landon what they could have together beyond just friendship, or will she ruin her chance with him for good when the truth comes out?
I really liked Landon and Stephanie. They both had started to have feelings for one another more than friendship, and neither of them knew what to do about it. So instead of talking about, Landon avoided Stephanie and she kept quiet. I really wanted these two to sit down and have a conversation and just be honest with one another. It was clear that they were attracted to one another, and they already had the base for a great relationship with being as close as they were. Landon was afraid of his desires being too much for Stephanie though, and I could tell that he was struggling with how to try and put aside what he was feeling. He might have made the wrong choice in pushing her away, but he thought he was doing what he had to. Stephanie definitely made the wrong choice in what she did, but I also understood why she did it. Even when she tried to take things further with him when he knew it was her, he kept trying to stop things between them. These two were so hot together though, that I knew they had to find a way to let everything go and take the risk.
Overall, this was a really fantastic story! I loved the characters, and I was so invested in the story that I absolutely could not put this one down! I read it in one sitting because it was super steamy and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I loved Landon and Stephanie and seeing them take their friendship to the next level, but I also really loved their best friend Craig! I really hope that Cari Quinn gives Craig a story as well, because I would love to know more about him! I think that this story is a must read for those looking for something short and sexy, and it had everything that I was looking for in a great book. I am excited to read more from Cari Quinn in the future.

I always love me a Cari Quinn read, but this one was really something! I totally adored it from the first page to last. Steph and Landon have quite the tale to tell, and I loved every minute of it.
I loved the dynamics between Steph and Landon - tossing in their other best friend playing mediator was a hoot. The build up between the pair of them was so freaking hot!
Now I want Craig's story and see how things fare for him.

Short and simple
This was just an ok for me. I didn't feel there was much to the storyline. But then again it is a short read. You have two best friends. One pulls away for the last year because he has feelings for His friend, Steff. So, she decides to trick him into a hook-up at a Halloween party. Then she runs away after the hook-up. They met up, he finds out about the trick, pulls away again and they they get back together.
This was just an ok for me. I didn't feel there was much to the storyline. But then again it is a short read. You have two best friends. Entangled Brazen seems to be the headliner for stories that involve a brother's best friend or a best friend brother and this is no different. While I've no love for the roving-eye playboy who wanders from woman to woman, Cari Quinn's incisive writing style makes me sit up and take note of the complexity she can infused in her characters.

A little slow, but cute...
I really wanted to like the heroine because she's a teacher, but I found her character development to be weak. I liked the banter between the leads, Landon & Steff, but getting through their conflict/nonsense took too long. I enjoyed the HEA aspect, but the ending felt rushed.

This was such a hot Halloween story! Landon trying to fight his feelings for Steff and her deciding to do something outrageous to show him that she has feelings for him. Craig their other best friend is so great they way he takes everything in stride and tries to get these two together.

This book started off promising but then fell flat. It was just too predictable for me. It would've been nice to have a twist or something that differs to other of a similar storyline. Still a good quick read if you have spare time.

Perfect time of the year for this quick yet entertaining read. It made my lunch break fly by. BFFs turn into HEA with some bumps along the way. Pity Halloween is not popular here in Australia.

Absolutely funny quick read! I loved seeing two long time friends come to terms with their feelings for one another and get the HEA they deserve. I loved how the heroine got to be the sneaky one.
