Authors fill out your trigger warnings list ! List does not have explicit exhibitionism on it. I can't trust an author that pulls this sh-t.
New author for me. There are lots of spelling errors, but I don't critique or rate those - the actual story writing was fine.
Here we are with a completely 100% doormat of an fmc, swallowed up whole by a huge controlling jerk. The power imbalance here is staggering & Miss I'm never letting another man control me absolutely 100% allows the mmc to control her.
The MMC is all about himself, how he wants things, mostly bj's he doesn't reciprocate at all. Infact he's forcing the fmc to become 100% dependent on him. He refuses to get her into rehab establishing a completely narcissistic attitude that If he just forces her to stay with him, forces her to have a baby, she'll be fine. Her inner monologue is filled with him having become her new choice of drugs, she gets the "same high" which is disgusting, a total cop out from the author.
Even when she finds out he's giving her FAKE birth control to get her pregnant. Cause trying to get a girl pregnant 2 weeks after her last OD, where she f"cked a dealer up against a dumpster (with no condom) for her next fix, I'm SURE that's the BEST IDEA EVER.
Not even when her ties her down, painfully holds her down with his body, while she's crying so he can tattoo his name on her FACE.
Then takes her to his smex club and f"cks her (both totally naked) in front of a room full of people watching.. never-ending the chapter right before when his inner monologue is all about killing anyone who sees her ass showing under her skirt. Weird how the author just forgot that the mmc was all possessive. Don't look at what is mine to all of a sudden look at what is mine! P.s. author list your damn tw's - complete exhibitionism IS trigger Warning & IT WAS NOT LISTED!
Also no one, I dont care who they are no grown asss women want a chivk wearing a skirt so short that your ass is hanging g out, wearing a crop top with no bra on hanging around their husband's. Why is the author normalizing this? We are talking bravest books with a tiny shirt, so short skirt around her friends & their husbands. Ma'am, show some respect to your so called female friends.
After the way the h/h met there is NO way I'd trust him ever. Many times he inner monolgues the best perk of owning a smex club is enjoying all the women. He basically makes them blow him.
He also "samples" all the new girls that come in at least this is what he told the FMC on her interview. So all of a sudden that stops? Sorry, I dont buy it. Not at all.
After the 5th or 6th bj he makes her give him he's reciprocated MAYBE once near the beginning but I dont even think he really did honestly. I honestly should remove a star for that cause to me that's the worst type of MMC. You ain't obsessed dude if all the sex is just YOUR WAY.
The ice cube part was dumb- manu must not know what it feels like to have an ice cube shoved up your whooha- it feels just like a brain freeze in your vagina,- not sexy at all.
Wiping some wetness on your d'ck for backdoor play IS NOT LUBE. Having unprotected backdoor snex, with no condom & a penis that has a ton of piercings running upn& down with, again! Zero lube isnt sexy.
Author writes fmc hates coffee, like it disgusts her, twice later on, she's drinking coffee (at a coffee shop!).
Seriously the fmc went from suspecting Paul her exes was the one meeting her friend but she doesn't say anything? At all? God she's really dumb.
From the very first word, Unholy Sinner makes it clear that this is a provocative, high-heat journey into the darker corners of romance. Readers will quickly realize they’ve entered a world of obsession, control, and emotional intensity.
As the second installment in the Pasko Family series, Unholy Sinner can be read as a standalone. While I chose to read the first book, Craving Crimson, first, the author seamlessly integrates the characters into this storyline, making it unnecessary to read the previous book, which is rare! Unholy Sinner follows Leo, the owner of an adult club, and Jacqueline, a woman escaping an abusive relationship and struggling with addiction, who responds to a job posting at Leo’s club.
Leo and Jacqueline’s relationship is complex, obsessive and emotionally volatile, leaning into dubcon territory. While I found their dynamic deeply unhealthy (IMHO, they should seek counseling), the story may resonate with readers drawn to intense explorations of trauma and control—just be sure to review the trigger warnings beforehand! All that being said, I’m definitely still rooting for Leo and Jacqueline!
There were a few noticeable typos in the latter half of the book (e.g., “memorizing” used in place of “mesmerizing”), which may be attributed to spellcheck errors. These minor issues did not significantly detract from the overall impact of the story for me.
In summary, Unholy Sinner is a bold, dark romance that will appeal to readers who appreciate morally complex characters and emotionally charged storytelling. It’s a gripping addition to the series, best suited for those who enjoy boundary-pushing narratives with a heavy dose of spice. I’ll be looking forward to the third book!
Did I get both books in this series because I saw the author on TikTok advertising her books? Yes! Do I regret it? HELL NO!
Come here. Sit. Lemme tell you about it.
I ATE THIS TF UP! Let me preface by saying, I have not read anything by this other prior to reading this book. So when I tell you, I was hooked IMMEDIATELY. I was! Something about a calculated, slightly (not so slightly) unhinged man claiming what he wants just grabs my attention. (Bless my gay little heart.)
But, the main thing I loved about this book was the raw emotion and the very real mentality it brought with it. This is a dark trauma romance. It’s not for everybody. But the way the author portrayed the real struggles of certain situations and the falls of others was what kept me reading. I’m so many cases you find authors skirting over issues like it’s nothing. And that’s not reality. So to see an issue that is very real being written into a book like this is liberating.
Leo and Jacqueline were definitely made for each other. The way he gave her an outlet that kept her mind off of her addiction while also (in his own way) caring for her, made me fucking adore him. Idgaf what anyone says.
I 100% recommend this book to anyone who can handle it. Support and appreciate books that took time and effort and a lot of mental strength to write. This was an amazing story. Thank you @author.varafirestar for this masterpiece. I look forward to reading the next and the one after that and so on!
This book is dark, dirty, and absolutely divine in its depravity. Leo, the owner of Unholy, is every woman’s sin and every man’s warning—ruthless, commanding, and beautifully broken beneath all that dominance. He’s made a career out of control, taking what he wants and giving nothing back. Until Jacqueline.
She’s not the light meant to save him—she’s his reflection. Just as twisted, just as scarred, and just as addicted to the chaos they create together. When they collide, it’s not romance—it’s combustion. Every touch is a confession, every scene a sermon in sin.
This isn’t a love story for the faint of heart—it’s a reckoning. Filthy. Emotional. Consuming. Leo and Jacqueline don’t heal each other; they burn together and somehow make the ashes look holy.
This book was really good even though there was times I really wanted to yell at Leo the mmc and yell at Jacqueline the fmc. Leo was up and down and all around he was obsessed and wanted Jaqueline to be his but there was times that he was willing to have people watch them. Jaqueline did not see the red flags when they were right in front of her face especially when he decided to tattoo her face while she was tied up. This book had a good plot and really good spice, it is also a very dark book so again PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE YOU READ THIS BOOK.
This was definitely an emotionally charged read. Leo has a lot of emotional baggage, and his way of coping is just as unhealthy as Jacqueline's. It took me some time to get into the story, and even longer to recognize that Leo does have a few redeeming qualities.
Be sure to check the trigger warnings!
The book includes plenty of spice along with themes of angst and trauma, but it also focuses on healing and redemption.
Leo and Jacqueline? Absolute chaos in the best way possible. Their dom/sub energy is wild, unhinged, and so addictive you’ll be side-eyeing the clock wondering how it got to 3 a.m. From the very first page it’s giving chef’s kiss—like, “hello?? eyes rolling back, brain short-circuiting” levels of good. PSA: check your trigger warnings because this book does not come to play. And that ice cube scene? ICONIC. A frosty little detail that had me kicking my feet and screaming into a pillow.
Holy shit, PAGE MF 1!! If you can’t handle page one, walk away. If you can handle a controlling Dom this is a book for you! Punishment is pleasure. Little ice to heat you up, IYKYK. This book does have heavy content but is worth every page. Leo and Jacqueline have a Dom/Sub relationship. Jacqueline just can’t stop being a brat. This book is delicious!
This book was very hot yet it was a story of hardship, heartbreak and how the power of love can truly change for two people that really found each other in the midst of their own personal storm. I fell in love with Leo and Jacqueline you will too… so well written and scorching hot ! 🔥🖤🔥
