This finale of the series is incredible. I loved the narrative. I also liked the growth between the main characters and seeing how far they've come from where they started. It just hits right in the feelers. And this nailed it on the second chance romance which is a favorite of mine. I also liked that this author clearly demonstrated the forgiveness and redemption component of the story. This I think was essential to the overall narrative because the main characters had history and some things were kept secret. So when they come full circle you get to see that change happen as you read their journey. It is messy, real, believable and relatable. And a beautifully written well flushed out story. I cannot not recommend this more than enough.

Second Chances on the Bering Sea – Redeem is an emotional tidal wave you won’t see coming.

Who would have thought that men who spend months battling the brutal waters of the Bering Sea would deliver love stories as emotionally gripping as any of the most beloved blue-collar romances? But with her Bering Sea Crabbers series, Jessica Buss has proven time and time again that beneath the grit, salt, and steel-toed boots lie hearts capable of breathtaking depth.

With Redeem, the fourth and final book in the series, Ms Buss gives us one last, unforgettable high—this time with Brock and Courtney’s second-chance romance.

Twelve years ago, without warning, Courtney didn’t just leave town after high school—she left Brock, the only boy she had ever loved. And in doing so, she shattered both their hearts. Now she’s back… and the past they tried to outrun is waiting.

Redeem is a story soaked in secrets, hurt, and the kind of forgiveness that doesn’t come easy. It’s about facing the choices that broke you and daring to believe that love—real, soul-deep love—might still be waiting on the other side. The emotional weight of their history lingers in every interaction, every glance, every word left unsaid.

The flashbacks are beautifully woven throughout, adding depth and tenderness to this slow-burn journey. Watching Brock and Courtney find their way back to one another is nothing short of breathtaking. Their love never truly died—it simply waited for the right moment to rise from the wreckage.

This series has been mesmerising from start to finish, and Redeem is the perfect, heart-pounding goodbye. The Bering Sea may be harsh and unforgiving, but in Ms Buss’s hands, it becomes the backdrop for stories filled with redemption, resilience, and enduring love.

If you’re not already reading romances set in this rugged, blue-collar world, you should be. This is a genre that deserves to grow—and grow.

This one was interesting. It really didn't go how I thought it would. I thought Brock would be bitter and an ass for most of the book. Yet when he saw Hope, things clicked in his head and then when Courtney showed up to explain things, he was pretty reasonable. I really liked that about him. I liked that he told Courtney he needed some time to process, but when he did that, he was all about getting to know his daughter and by proxy, getting to know the current version of Courtney. The more they talked the more info he got and he never really got mad, understood why, was sad he missed out on so much, but worked at building current relationships with both girls. It made it very easy to root for them to work things out and get together. Nice to see how things ended for them and they finally got the future they thought they would in high school.

the perfect second chance

Did I savor reading the final book in the Bearing Sea Series??? I’m so sad it’s over!!! I took my sweet time reading it because I didn’t want it to end 😢 There were a tear or two as well. Brock was even more swoon-worthy than I imagined. I loved him so much and love how seriously he took his new responsibilities. He loves fiercely both Courtney and Hope, they are his girls forever. Court is the best mom ever: independent, fierce, and loving. Specially I love when she let Brock take care of her and Hope. I loved their beginnings and their second chance was sweet, romantic, and passionate. Everything I wanted for him and more. Thank you, Jessica Buss, for an amazing and unique series. I can’t wait to read what’s coming next.

'Redeem' is the last book in the Bearing Sea series. The story line is really well done and demonstrates that true love may be given a second chance. Courtney and Brock's past was heartwarming, touching, and ultimately enjoyable. I had bit of a hard connecting with Courtney at first because of her decision to keep her kid a secret, but it makes sense when you get to know her better. My favorite character in the series was definitely Brock. I loved how Brock attempted to built a connection with his daughter and re-establish his relationship with Courtney since he couldn't get over her. All things considered, this series offers a variety of emotions, attracting readers while giving a window into the lives of individuals who work at sea. I am looking forward to reading more books from Jessica Buss!

4.5⭐️ 2.74🌶 3.5😭
This was absolutely beautiful, and I loved every minute of it. I don’t know how Jessica manages to capture the emotion of each moment and weave it so seamlessly into the pages, but she does it flawlessly. There were several moments that brought me to tears. I’m not sure if it was the real-life aspects of the situation or just my overly emotional self feeling everything as if it were my own.
What I loved most was getting to witness these characters completely fall apart, rebuild themselves on their own, and then find their way back to each other—stronger and better than ever. Watching them grow individually and together made the journey incredibly powerful and deeply moving.

After having read Baited, Caught, and Released I was so thrilled that we were getting more of this series! I've been so excited for this fourth installment ever since. I jumped right back into the Bering Sea Crabbers world. I loved Redeem so much!

I was so happy that we were getting Brock's story!

Courtney and Brock's journey drew my heart and I right in! These two were so in love, but it ended in heartbreak when Courtney left. Years later, Brock and Courtney collide back in Kodiak Island. Can they face everything and move forward, together?

Brock and Courtney quickly kept me turning the pages. These two had so much history between them that we got to dig deeper into. As Courtney and Brock were reunited I needed to see how things would unfold for them. I was definitely rooting for them!

I went through all kinds of emotions throughout with Brock and Courtney! It wasn't easy for these two, especially taking on the past and present to truths and their love. I really enjoyed seeing them taking it all on. Courtney and Brock both showed what it means to be human. What was between them could never fade and they were so meant to be reunited.

The moments that Brock and Courtney shared with Hope got me right in the chest. I adored Hope and what all that she brought to the story.

Being back with this crew and getting more of the Bering Sea and Kodiak Island made me so dang happy! All the ways I adore this world and it's characters!

With Redeem, Ms.Buss has created such a fantastic second chance romance and ending to this series! She really had me feeling it all and brought the real with Brock and Courtney's story.

These crabbers and their loves are forever staying with me! Don't miss out on the Bering Sea Crabbers and check this series out this year! 🦀

Brock and Courtney's tale has been long awaited by me. The Bering Sea Crabbers have been a most unique read and now the series is coming to a most sweet and heart warming end.
Brock was happy for his family and friends as they each found their person - the one that would be their soulmate, the one to share his life and home with and pass on that love to children. Sadly he lost the love of his life years ago when she left him and took his heart with her.
Courtney had to grow up FAST. She had secrets that she couldn't share so she ran. She had to learn to lean on herself. She swore to never return to her family or home in Alaska. When news reached her of her father's passing and that her mom would be on her own, Courtney decides that it is time to return and face those whom she knows she has hurt.
This story was achingly beautiful. I know this will be one I will read over and over to get that feeling of home, happiness and love - Second Chances are the best.

Redeem is Courtney and Brock’s second chance at love story and it was a bittersweet read because this is the final book in the Bearing Sea Crabbers Series. This book touched me on so many levels and it didn’t take me long to become invested in this couple and their journey.
Brock and Courtney were teenage sweethearts but she walked away when she was 18 without telling him her secret. Brock has never gotten over her leaving and he sees her as the one that got away so how will he react when she comes home to help her mother, especially when the secret she hid has now been revealed……..
If Brock wants a relationship with his daughter Hope he needs to learn how to forgive Courtney.
I fell hard and fast for Brock and I adored Courtney but what took this book to the next level was watching Brock forming a bond and a relationship with his teenage daughter. This is a well written, entertaining, emotional and engaging read and it was a great story to end the series on.

Great second chance romance. I struggled to connect with Courtney at fist because of her decision to keep her daughter a secret, but it makes sense the more you get to know her. Brock was so easy to fall for, I just loved the time he spent developing a relationship with his daughter. The characters are just so amazing they draw you into their story. The plot is so well done and shows that true love can truly get a second chance. One of my favorite moments was when Courtney saw her daughter was getting a to know her dad's family ,but not she would not be a part of it. Brock was so amazing and supportive making er realize no matter what the future hold she is family too. This is an exceptional story that I highly recommend. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a sweet, wonderful story, a beautiful way to end the series. The history between Courtney and Brock was touching, emotional, and, in the end, satisfying. I enjoyed their reconnection despite the big secret. Brock pulled me in as he accepted what was presented to him, even though he had some anger, hurt, and mistrust to work through, and worked hard to do what was right for himself and his heart. Courtney had her reasons, but I loved her honesty and desire to straighten out the situation and reconnect with her past relationships. I had plenty of tears as Courtney and Brock took this second chance to rekindle their love.

I received a copy through Enticing journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

This story is the final book in the Bearing Sea Crabbers Series. Brock, never stopped loving Courtney—the girl he loved, who left town at eighteen without telling him she was pregnant. Years later, Courtney returns to help her mother after the death of her abusive father, bringing with her their thirteen-year-old daughter, Hope.
The heart of the story lies in Brock discovering he’s a father and learning how to build a relationship with Hope while he must learn how to forgive Courtney. This book beautifully shows that love can survive time, pain, and secrets—and still find its happily ever after.

This is the fourth book in this amazing series, and this is Brock and Courtney’s story.
These two were high school sweethearts, until Courtney left without a word, and now she has returned to her hometown, but she is now alone. Brock is understandable angry and hurt when he finds out about Hope, but I loved how hard he worked to build a relationship with Hope, and intern Courtney.
This is an easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendship, secrets, hurt, anger, heartbreak, revelations, second chances, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, sweet, and touching addictive page turner.

This is one of my favorite series so this book was bittersweet to read as it's the final sea crabber book. I loved Brock & Courtney's second chance romance so much-there was heartache, happiness, depths of emotion as they were high school sweethearts and had it all until Courtney walked away without a word, knowing she had a secret she kept from Brock. When she returns to town years later and brings her secret with her-their child-I loved how Brock worked to establish a relationship with his daughter and re-establish a relationship with Courtney as he was never able to get over her.

OMG!! I loved this!! This is Courtney & Brock's story & it was amazing!! They've known each other for a long time; they dated for a while. But when she leaves, she goes with a huge secret & when she comes back there's no hiding it anymore. When they see each other again, their attraction is still very much there, but there's a lot of things that need to be said. This story was awesome! I loved the found family, the 2nd chance & seeing them both work their way back to each other! This was an awesome series finale!! Highly recommend this series & author!

Amazing! Beautifully written and emotionally wrenching. Brock and Courtney's story is one of the most heartfelt I've read. Their second-chance story has all the feels. Secrets. Redemption. Found family. Forgiveness. Romance and passion. And a love that never stopped. It's deeply satisfying from start to finish. Hands down, a must-read. I highly recommend the previous three books in the series. All exceptional, original stories.

Courtney and Brock complete the Bearing Sea Crabbers Series and I am sad to see the end. I've loved them all and learned so much about the dangerous work crabbing is! This book was my favorite of the set, I loved both Brock and Courtney so much, and Hope was just so special. With the way these two broke up 13 years ago when they were both so young, the tragic circumstances, my heart bled for them. The fact that neither of them could ever move on exemplified how deep and true their love was. They were indeed true soul mates.

But that in no way means there wasn't hurt or pain when Courtney returns home after never reaching out. She only comes because her father has died and she wants to help her mother. Brock wants nothing to do with her except answers. However, they still have a strong connection and chemistry that neither can deny, no matter how much they fight it. And of course there's Hope.

I loved these two clashing and then melding together as they work through their lives. And as always, the beautiful scenery of Alaska is shining through. The ending is great, the Epilogue superb except one little cliffy I want to know the answer to. Maybe an Extended Epilogue Jess? Since there are no more books? Please?

I could feel the pain and anguish which Brock went through. This was not an easy reconciliation for sure and it was a hard-fought second chance romance.

I loved his scenes with his daughter, Hope, and he proves how good he is as a father in every single encounter. The journey which Brock and Courtney went through was realistically portrayed, and by the end of the book, you can’t help but root for the couple. It is finally now the right person AND the right timing.
